I want custom faces. It adds a personal touch and I don't believe it takes away from the experience. I dont care what other people have as faces. I enjoy seeing what other people come up with as their face.

Game 2 progress is not related to arma. 2 different teams are working of game 2 and arma. One does not affect the other, and I think arma will be released as scheduled.

Not really on topic, but I think some of the UKF files at ofp.info are corrupt. Â I have downloaded them multiple times, but I am getting an invalid archive error on these files: UKF Diemaco.rar UKF Sidearms.rar UKF WMIK 2.0.rar UKF Weapons Pack 2.0.rar EDIT: Hmm... just downloaded a trial version of winrar and they worked, I guess the program I was using(7zip) doesn't like those files. Anyone have any recommendations for free programs that open rar files?

the devs obviously are not going to include the amout of realizm you want, you should try the game Balkans on fire. I hear it is something more along the lines of what you are looking for.

There are two diffrent teams developing game2 and arma, so them working harder on game2 will not affect armas progress.

No, it is not based on a new engine it is based of the ofp engine. it will probably not have destructable buildings becuase the ofp engine cannot handle it and i would assue that bis would have mentioned it as a feature even if the were just experimenting with it.

Arma will not be a BF2 killer. BF2 has its own fanbase and its own style of play. Also the graphics while much better than ofp are not next gen graphics. That being said I personally believe it will be the best game ever, but I doubt many BF2 players will be dropping BF2 for Arma.

that would be the Y2K3 mod. Well I am not really interested in vista and I am not buying any thing that is top of the line. Right now I am actually looking for a computer for my brother but am seriously considering one for myself. I have a laptop right now that I use for work and am kind of wieghing wether or not it is worth it to me to buy a new comp for gaming.

Well, I go to the United States Air Force Academy and as part of my major I am required to take a foreign language for two semesters and depending on how I like it I can minor in it. I can't decide whether I want to take russian or german. They both interest me and I thought I would ask which one you guys would reccomend. The reason I mention that I am in the air force is that depending on what I choose could possibly affect where I am deployed to after graduation. Just looking to see what you guys think.

there is a default multiplayer mission that already does this, I think it is just called coop and I think it is for malden. When you die in that mission it zooms out from your body and the camera goes to another AI on your team and you keep playing.

Man, I would love it if I could do that. I guess I am a kind of customization whore, but I just want to be able to do that to everything. This would be great especially for multiplayer. I can get into the game alot more when I get to choose what i look like.

Thanks for all of your input. I think I will go with German because of its similarities to english and I think I would pick it up faster. I have heard good things about Ramstein. I would love to go to germany at some point.
