Does anybody know of an AEK-971 assault rifle addon? It's based on the AK series, but shortened, and 50% more accurate than an AK-74 firing with full auto. I'd attempt to make one myself, but I can't find many pictures of it.

OK. Some info, feel free to correct me. The BIS units are actually using a sniper one piece suit that goes over a BDU, so it is somewhat innacurate. The Flora pattern started being issued in 1998, so Suchey's units are not right for the 80s either. Early 90s up until Flora was VSR camo, as seen on a few units, such as the RHS tank crew. SpetzNaz are issued Flora, but discard it and buy other BDUs, such as M1s and M21s, with their own money. These come in patterns such as kamysh (Suchey's Spetz Naz) tigerstripe, and others. That is all modern stuff. Basically, the 1980s was a complete mess as far as the Soviet BDUs go. There are a lot of different patterns, and since none of them are produced any more, I don't know much about them. Most 'Soviet' addons you see, like RHS, are using actually using a VSR pattern as far as I can tell, so they are actually 90's troops.

As an ice hockey goalie, I would have to say that if anybody tried to make my equipment smaller, I'd be kinda pissed. We don't wear all that stuff for protection, we want to be a big target! Let the skaters be agile, I'm content to sit in my crease.

You know, I said I wouldn't post on again on this topic, but that was ten pages ago. Ten very worthless pages. I'm tired of seeing this thread every time I go into the offtopic forum. I assume it is still Baron arguing against everybody else, and that nothing has changed. I really have to refrain from pointing out his errors. If I did, would he listen? No. If he said they were not errors, but facts, would I listen? No. Honestly, do any of you think that you've influenced the other in any way? It's impossible to change a person's position on religion over a forum. I say let it rest.

I've been having a bunch of problems for a long time, but now they happen every time I play instead of one out of ten. Two are sound errors. Whenever there is a lot going on in a mission, my sound usually crahses to extremely loud static. The other is that my sound will at any time drop a few octaves, like I'm in eternal slow motion (sound-wise) As for night-vision, I have no color at night. It is only black and white. I didn't notice this until my friend showed me what it looked like on his. If anybody knows anything about any of these I would be most appreciative.

Not to anger any Canadians here, but.... I live in Michigan, a few hours from the Canadian border, and it is in most of my friends and mine own opinion (including my Canadian friend who refuses to become a US citizen) actually, pretty much anybody around here, that the Canadian police consists of a bunch of red-clad mounties riding on horses yelling 'eh' at everybody. Not to say anybody actually believes this, but the Canaidan police stereotype is stronger than any other kind. I am sure that to them, our police are a bunch of hicks that live their lives for a high speed chase.

I have the 1.4 RSC pbo. The problem is that the VIT_APC_Arena script uses the weapons VIT_APC_ARENA 1, 2, and 3, and I don't think these are declared anywhere.

I have the config pbo from v1.3. Whenever the arena system should go off, it tells me "No entry 'config.bin/CFGweapons.VIT_APC.ARENA1'."

When ever I shoot a missile at an ARENA BMP-3 I get 'missing weapon' errors. Am I missing a file? I have VITAPC 1.4 (no 1.4 config?) and RSC 1.4

I'm getting the impression that this is a terrible game  . I was really looking forward to it. I can only hope they rushed the demo out and the release version is solid. Also, Blake, you are probably having problems with your 7200 because they didn't design the game for the 7000 series. Those cards are somewhat outdated now.

I would probably point and laugh at them. But thats because they had gnomes inhabiting their pants, which is completely different and irrelevant from religion. I've mentioned multiple times that I'm not religious to prove or explain anything. 'Find out' is essentially the same thing. I don't care to repeat what I've posted three times already. How thick is your skull? Please be exact, I wouldn't want a number without at least five proven scientific theories supporting it. I believe that I named three examples. If anybody can prove or disprove any of them I would be amazed. The earlier attempts to disprove God in this thread were not in the least bit adequate. (I'm going to regret saying this, because somebody will try) I think you'd be surprised. We just don't hear much of their opinion. Only extremists and extremely bored people post on these kind of topics.

Thanks for the welcome, Albert. I've had OFP since 2001 but never came to these boards until a few months ago. My only experience with religion is Christianity, so I didn't want to use examples from other religions that I know very little about. It certainly does seem that people making religion = Christianity, but that's probably because (I would guess) that is the religion most of the members of this board know best. It is somewhat ironic, since this post started with a disagreement between Islam and atheism.

You are trying to help him, eh? Telling people they are delusional, have false beliefs, and have lost all touch with reality is usually not the best way to go about that. Your sarcastic tone makes an intelligent discussion almost impossible, but telling somebody they are a dumb fool because of something that makes them happy, that you can obviously not comprehend, is crossing the line. What would make you so hateful as to do that? whisperFF06, myself, and a few others here have tried to explain this to you. Religion is not there to prove anything. Saying it isn't sensible to fill a mental/spiritual hole in somebody's life is ridiculous. Spirituality cannot possibly be explained scientifically, so according to you that is irrational? If you find evidence necessary to explain religion, you won't ever get it, because that's not what it is about. If you are happy without it, good for you. That doesn't mean a religious person is an ignorant moron. There are things that are intangible, and not provable. If you want to argue proof and fact, find somebody who believes the bible is just that. It's a waste of everybody's time to put facts up against things intangible (souls, God, heaven, etc.) There are many of us who accept both science and religion.

CNN is reporting that bombs were targeted on an outer wall, not the mosque itself, and that is where they hit. It also implies that all the casualties were armed insurgents. Now, if this was Fox News, I would laugh (they are so conservatively biased that it should be called Fox Republican Opinion) but CNN IMO tends to be unbiased. It seems that there are conflicting reports, and I wouldn't take it to heart that the army lofted bombs into a worship center filled with non-combatants (although that may be the case) Also, to BN880, 'how would you like it' arguments are usually irrelevent. We aren't 'pounding churches,' we hit one mosque, and it sounds like we didn't even actually hit it.

Religion helps me feel good sometimes, and I would say the same for anybody else that is religious (else, why would they bother with it?). It would be impossible to explain why to somebody who is not religious. If somebody is happy as an athiest, I'm happy for them too. As for your comment on proof, you completely missed the point of my post. I (and many others) am not religious to prove anything, because it cannot. I disagree with those who take the bible as absolute fact, but I will not put them down so rudely and arrogantly as you.

Hmm. I stand corrected. I'm just upset that so many people are making the U.S. soldiers out to be blood-thirsty demons that delight in murdering civilians. (I'm not saying there aren't a few messed up souls within the army, but the majority)

OK seriously... do you honestly think US soldiers purposely kill civilians? Let alone, 10,000 of them? I highly doubt that the number is over 1,000, and even that is probably vastly overestimating the number. The US army is not a trained civilian murder force, and right now, they're fighting off militants. Was Bush a moron for starting this war? Yes. Is that completely irrevelant now? Yes. We can't change that now. The fact is that if we immediately pulled out of Iraq, the whole country would go to shit. (more so than right now)
