  1. Can anyone help us fix the problem with the soldiers chest textures stretching inwards? its making our soldiers look rather wierd... and stupid, since the chest textures should look like this:

    Are you all goin to make new death anims too? Because I think the death anims start from positions in the origonal anims. So with your new anims the death anims will look wierd. Plus most oth those anims are boring anyway the soldiers just look like falling trees, you need arms waving in the air maybe the odd helmet rolling off the head etc etc.... Just an idea, if its too hard don't bother, I just want to get my hands on the anims you've already done.....

    Tanks for the input. No, we are not going to replace the MAG with a M134 or whatever, MAG58's are what is mounted to he heli in real life so thats the way its gunna be ingame... ShadowGhOst, we are the ADF MOD not the BAS-ADF MOD, If you want to use a BAS weapon with our units I suggest you make the thing yourself (from scratch, don't edit our models without permition... please). The pilots will be finished in the final version.... remember its only a BETA, the soldiers are being completely re-done from scratch the same as all of our other soldier units....

    They should spin exactly the same as the OFP Uh-60 unit, if it doesn't it is correctly set to the specs I was given from Sikorsky (the manufacturer)....

    Thanks, that would be most helpful. As I said its still a BETA and the pilots are being completely re-done from scratch. There are some bugs we already know of such as the pilot not being able to jettisen the fuel pods without the 'manual fire' option selected. To correctly remove the MAG58, the chopper needs to be landed,nd the player (pilot or gunner) selecting the option from outside the chopper. The bug could be due to some problems with the pilots not being finished yet...... anyway..... we'll get on to fixing them straight away....

    The model should cast shadows, I think I just have the option turned off in the 'options' menu. I'll get on to StuKa an make sure just incase.....
  7. We have released the first version of our S-70 BlackHawks. There only a beta version as the pilots are being re-done from scratch. Screenshots: Re-aranged cargo for quicker exit of the helicopter.     Joint ammo and mag project (jam)

    Hey BAS blokes. If you need any extra help Wires and I could lend you someone from the ADF MOD team that isn't working on something. Were quite interested in the JAM project and are willing to utilise it in the mod. I just hope we can get some realistic gunfire sounds. I have to complement you all on the great idea, the project will be fantastic for multiplayer games and one day maybe an inter-modificational campaign with ADF, BAS, ONS troops fighting together.     The large steel plate at the front is a 'Trim Vane'. It is erected when making amphibious moves, thats what stops the front from nose diveing to the bottom of the ocean. Thanks for the complement about the 'turned-out' shooting. In the next version we are making a third fireing mode where both the .50cal and .30cal Browning M2's fire at the same time...

    Adf mod update

    Suppose we put them all in one PBO, then someone finds a glitch in one of the weapons which we have to fix for it to work. Would you rather download 4 or 5Mb's or about 30 or 40Mb's? We have done it this way so it is easier for us to update our files (which we do often, adding and editing) without having to make you download an extra 25+Mb of addons that theres nothing wrong with. I hope you can see why we do it like that...

    We realy wouldn't like you to, but I guess theres no way we can stop you . Except maybe through our copyright Its no personal thing, just we would like to keep our addons the way they are. Somewhere down the track when the campaign is released there may be a heap of problems with people having the official ADF version mixed up with your version. We have no problem with you editing the file on your own PC for yourself, just not making them available on the internet to everybosy. We (well StuKa) has been working bloody hard on these for ages (a few months I think) and we dont want it being pulled apart. Also, can I ask why you want to have a crew from another country and another addon maker in our M113's? I just dont see the point. I could understand if it was a weapon of some sort but those M113's are 100% Australian. I don't know a single other country that uses the exact same M113 configuration as the ADF. How would you feel if we suddenly stole your national flag and said it was Australian? Thats how we feel

    I would have to agree with one of Major Fubar's earlier posts. What is the point of having an Australian armored unit being run by crew from another country? Its the ADF mod which means we make units that are either Australian, Indonesian or East Timorese. Releasing an addon with a forign crew running our ADF M113's would be like making men have to wear women's dresses. Its just wrong and is out of character for our Mod.... I'm sorry, if you want to use our M113's without our ADF Crew you'll either have to forget it all together or do it yourself. As I said theres no real point for our mod to release it like that plus we don't have much spare time... P.S: There will be a Collins Class Submarine, we already have the model underconstuction

    We hope to finish it arond mid to late this year. Theres still a lot of work that needs to be done (Enemy troops etc...). The lights will be fixed in the next version, and an ADF Crew will be used. We'll be releasing the next version of our SF and troops soon

    I don't know why its MP5SD, the moderators must have messed things up when they edited my post . It should say MP5A3... The thing on the side of the M113 is an animated repair crane. This is only on the 'repair' version of the M113's, the standard M113 LRV has only a T50 turret.

    We haven't updated the website lately but we have three surprises for you. Our M113 Pack is (finally) finished. The pack includes two versions of the ADF M113, a normal version and a desert version. Each comes available with and without animations (for the slower PC's). Some of the animation are opening hatches on the top and rear of the APC, a movable 'trim vane' which is used for amphibious movement, a moving crane on the 'Repair' version and a fully functioning T50 turret. We have an ammunition box for you which contains ammo for most of the weapons we have released so far. And, last but not least. Version 1.20 of our Sniper Rifle Pack. We have fixed the coding and the bolt on the AW-50F is now on the right side.
