  1. Does anyone know if having two of the same addon.pbos in different mod folders is bad on performance? I can see how it might slow down initial loading speed, but I can't see how it would after OFP started up. Also If I replace a res/addon in a mod folder. For example I copied and pasted O.pbo in res/addons to @mymod and modified the file there. Would that hurt performance? If that didn't make any sense let me know.

I'm starting to notice that OpFlash wasn't made for a medic system that: 1) On death a player activates a script that adds an action. 2) A medic can use the action and "revive" the "dead" soldier. 3) The medic has 2 mins to "revive" the "dead" soldier. Now the only problem lies with AI not shooting at the guy after "_unit setcaptive false" is in. I'll do more tests. Thank you very much for your help so far. Just an out there question, know where to find any released models for round parachutes that have LOD hitboxes? I know that FDF's square ones do, but I'm unable to find any round ones.
  3. I'm working on a series of scripts. I'm editing the scripts in scripts.pbo for my mod. When a player dies instead of dieing I'm setting his health back to 0 and forcing an animation on him. Then adding an action for a medic to be able to take him out of this forced animation. The problem is when he is on the ground in the forced animation and dies again another action is added and there is no way to die, because his health keeps going back to 0. I want an if statement that checks his current animation to see if he is in the forced animation, if he is then it won't setdammage 0 and he will just die. So far its been working except for the previous problem and the forced animation isn't looping right, and once a medic uses the action, the "wounded" unit gets out of the animation, but then goes back into it and finishes the animation. I thought about setting the unit as a captive, and checking to see if he was a captive, but I don't know how to do that either. Also captive stops the AI from shooting at you which I don't want. *Edit* I tried out using Captive, because I found a way to check for captive status. Using captive would work except for the AI doesn't shoot the unit after setting captive to false again. Why is the AI not shooting even with captive false?
  4. Is it possible to find a unit's current animation? Like if I set a unit's animation with playmove or switchmove, and then have an if statement be true when they are no longer in that animation is it possible? Is there a workaround if not...? any ideas would help.

    Sanctuary, it would be of great help if I knew which .rtm file controls strafe aim dispersion. Meaning the sway in the optics of weapons when strafing. I very much like the one in GRAA 3.0, and would like to make it so in VTE and FDF without modifying the rest of the animations if possible. If you could explain what makes the sway happen or the system behind it that would be very nice also. Man I can't wait till GRAA 4.0. I'm working on some things of my own, if by chance I get them finished before GRAA 4.0 I'd be willing to send you the stuff to include them in 4.0 with the ability to enable/disable them. Thanks.

    GRAA Modpack 3.0

    I've slowly become a fan of GRAA, and reading through this topic was an experience. I've been frustrated with the Llama heads in GRAA 3.0 and I've been trying to find a way that both Llama head and BIS head use correct faces, which I've of course not been able to do. Reading through this topic was much like watching a Hitchcock film. The suspense about finding out if Llama heads were gonna be in 4.0 was intense. First you announce 4.0, then I here about how it's too much work to include llama heads, further reading an image is posted that looks like BIS head, and finally the truth is out! BIS heads it is! I'm waiting for GRAA 4.0, Thanks for your effort.

    Thank you very much for the reply, I'll try to be more patient. Sadly I've been let down by 3 mods now. Each mod dies when we try to multi-player it. The WW2 (WWII Collection & Invasion44) ones have a texture error, I'm sure someone out there has done work to fix it, but I haven't got around for looking for it. I know that mods work on the server because we use our own mod folder that has all the addons we use. It works great and allows us to disable the addons easier. Just for more info I don't try to run both x_vte and the other mod at the same time. The VTE Forum is locked so I can't register and post my problem I've searched the forum a bit, found this great quote: "We absolutely want to make sure VTE will work on MultiPlayer environment, especially in dedicated (linux) servers. It might not work as of yet, I dont know as I didn't have chance to test." :C I really hope this can be fixed, or its my problem not the mod's. I'm amazed by the work put into this game and these mods. I'm sad that I didn't get into this game earlier. As for your WGL topic link, it doesn't work just takes me to the main forum. I registered and tried searching for linux dedicated server, no entry, and cfg.cfgworlds but didn't see anything related. Thanks again for your reply, if you read this :P *Edit* I fixed the problem, thankfully it was my own fault. This shows how new I'm to the file structure and mod stuff.     I've worked on this a bit, tried looking through config.cfg and making sure the {}; 's was all correct. It seems so, but I just can't think of anything that would stop it from working on linux and not windows. Maybe linux doesn't like how config.cfg is coded? does it need to be turned into a bin maybe? idk please help

    ofp 1.96 problem

    The double cursor seems to be a WinXP problem, everyonce in awhile I think I got it in win2000. The resolution size has nothing to do with the double cursor, however I've noticed some ways of removing the double cursor. First you can change resolution size in game to something and then back to whatever you had. Second you can try alt-tabbing and alt-tabbing again. Lastly when you run the shortcut try clicking the desktop quickly before it launches. As for AA, I haven't played with that enough to help you.

    Nerds In Arms We play Operation Flashpoint Resistance 1.96 with and without mods. We usually play coop missions, but want to do player vs player if we had enough players. Also pvp missions would have to have semi-realistic objectives. We don't want that hold the city, capture the flag, or deathmatch crap. Our members are active, have a fun personality, and a good sense of humor. We started with 8 members as a foundation, and we plan having above 15 and under 30 members. We play on our own dedicated linux server hosted in the US. We also have a website, forums, and ventrilo server. We play on scheduled events that keep us wanting to play the game. Meaning we don't over-play the game. Currently we are recruiting anyone planning on playing coop and pvp. We expect you to use voice communication aka ventrilo and have good ping on the server.
