Widescreen / Multi-monitor set up
The Kentucky Kid replied to Congo_Toey's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
There's something about the new matrox firmware in the new boxes (as if in you buy one now) that requires monitors to be able to do 55HZ. Or is that just for the matrox software to "test" them at 55HZ? Anybody knows the details on this? Can it still be used with monitors that do 57HZ? If not can the firmware be reversed? -
can AI still see through clutter grass in 1.03?
The Kentucky Kid replied to fedaykin's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
A slower cpu won't make the ai do less, but it will take longer, your fps will go down. -
Widescreen / Multi-monitor set up
The Kentucky Kid replied to Congo_Toey's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
Th2g only supports 3*1680/1050 maximum resolution and the monitors must be able to do 57HZ. -
ATI Catalyst 9.7 is here
The Kentucky Kid replied to SimonSIx's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
A lot more lockups with the official 9.7, no other "improvements" for me. -
ATI Catalyst 9.7 is here
The Kentucky Kid replied to SimonSIx's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
I've been running the 9.7 drivers floating around for the last 1-2 weeks and didn't notice any changes. Still low performance, flashing textures, missing/flashing heads in vehicles, 10 fps in town etc. All on Win 7. -
Interesting to see if it would actually run, even if it does the performance would probably be very bad considering it doesn't even run right on windows with no additional software emulation overhead.

Honestly, do you really believe Hitler can be compared to Eisenhower, Roosevelt or Truman? I'm sorry if I came acrosee a little rude, but it does piss me off when people say that. So I will say, if that's how you learned it, ok, but know that 99% of the world knows it a different way. I'm done here.

Ok, you convinced me, I am wrong, you are right. Enjoy.

Ah, dude, are you mad? You might want to grow up first. Btw, where do you stash the nazi gold?
-
Dude, stop writing.

You must be confused. We are talking about arma2 "the game" here. As for your other statements :o:

Exectly, a time limit in a no run and gun game? :coop:

Can the AI see through grass? Some testing.
The Kentucky Kid replied to datter's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
The game behaves differently in terms of bugs every time. Sometime something works right, the next time it doesn't. It is very inconsistent so when people say "I don't have that" it doesn't mean it can't happen. -
Is the AI really that smart ..or...
The Kentucky Kid replied to BeerHunter's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
It's just a game, not real life  -
3rd Person View and Command View Bindings rarely work (Steam)
The Kentucky Kid replied to Kenjineering's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
Same problem here. Also, I've done the f35 training missions 20 times and it never gets marked as "done" in the list. And zillion of other things. -
I Dont understand why....
The Kentucky Kid replied to GenghisKhan's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
Nothing you can do, you can defrag and whatnot until you go crazy, I won't do anything. Only BIS can fix it hopefully in a future patch. -
AA + ATI 4890 = horrible performance
The Kentucky Kid replied to Dr.Pulp's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
I run it on a 4890 and c2d @3.2GHZ, turning on AA to max, doesn't affect anything, same fps. It's also the same with everything at minimum, it looks so bad on low settings that you can't tell a tree from a player. And still always ~15-30 fps, mostly around 20. -
It's different every time. Sometimes I get stuck when wanting to carry the guy in the medical training. Other times when I land the transport helicopter in the heli boot camp mission I get a "training accident" and it ends. Then I land it exactly on the same spot the same way and it's fine, but something else happens. And so on. Each training mission I had to to 4-5 times to actually finish it. One finished ok and it still showed as not done in the list, I had to redo it. And so on and so forth.
-
The Boot Camp is full of bugs and problems. I told the dude I want to fire heavy weapons, then I hear gun shots, look back, the instructor is dead and there's 2 people shooting from the town. And a million other stupid stuff happing all over the place in all missions.

4870 is single, you are thinking of the 4870 X2
-
I played the demo until today and got the game today, performance is the same. Try to upgrade to the 4870 1024MB (1 GB) instead. I run it on a 4890 on a c2d @3.2Ghz and get ~15-30 fps with decent settings @1920*1200.

The next step in gaming should not be graphics...
The Kentucky Kid replied to horrgakx's topic in ARMA - GENERAL
AI is much much more complicated than graphics. With very limited resources (as in money) it's even harder. It would be nice if AI would increase at the same speed of graphics, but that's not going to happen. -
It's back to normal now, but here it's $17.99, found with pricegrabber. http://www.jr.com/JRProdu....TA+ARMA
