  1. Well here's your engine: http://www.blackfootstudios.com/forums....ry44034 Ground Branch will use the Unreal Engine 3. Also if you want to learn more about GB make sure to register at the BFS forum so you can view the newsletters.
  2. More screens have been released: http://www.blackfootstudios.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=9
  3. new screen: http://www.blackfootstudios.com/forums....t&id=11
  4. Yup following the clues such a game can be expected. A new teaser image has been released that shows Drager Lar 5 breathing apparatus: http://www.blackfootstudios.com/images/media/Drager_LAR_V.jpg
  5. Since yesterday there forum has been opened: http://www.blackfootstudios.com/forums/index.php?act=idx
  6. Trust me these guys aren't planning to bring the next Hollywood style shooter onto the market. Realism is the foundation for this game.
  7. In the ghostrecon.net forums there is a thread where Jsonedecker (an original Rainbow6, Ghost Recon dev.) from Blackfoot Studios is giving hints about his new upcoming tactical shooter which you people might find interesting. From: http://www.ghostrecon.net/forums....c=41105 These are the teasers he gave: Pictures: Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Hints and useful info: On a comment about the platform it will be released on: "PC first.... 360 second". "Totaly obscure hint........ GB". The second picture is confirmed to be a Tac-Board used in dive operations. On a question if we have to think months or year about the game's release date John replies with: "Year". The unit in this game has been confirmed not to be: Navy Seals, SBS, SF Combat Diver teams. "THey are definately not conventional forces.". In reponse to a question about the map sizes Jonh replies: "It will be of a fixed size, but I have no idea what that size is yet. They will also be open maps like OGR with the ability to take care of objectives and issues that arise as you see fit. We are not interested in the "do anything anywhere" or funneled hero character approaches.". On the question if BFS will provide a full sdk with the game John replies with: "That is the plan. As you said, it's early so anything can happen though.". Possibly encrypted teaser: "As a side, my 3 favorite game companies, as a developer and for various reasons, are: Epic Gearbox Software RSE 1997-2001 Maybe that will give some insight to some of the inspiration for BFS.". "It's an actual unit, but the men are drawn from many different branches of the military. I believe someone got pretty close in this thread, and there is actually a hint in this very post.". Knowing his past projects (R6,GR1) and people around him I personally expect alot from this project.

    BF2 - Realitymod v 0.5

I will definitely check out this update. This mod is great and has nothing to do with the arcade style gameplay of BF2. I bet that if a lot of BF2 haters would play this mod they would actually love it.

Statistics? Ok show me the statistics that console gamers only like dumb downed games or games without much depth. Surely there may be a lot that do enjoy them I'm not denying that at all, but even IF true that doesn't mean it has to stay like that. Ah come on.... I simply do not believe this. I think it's completely ridiculous that I even have to remind you of this but apparantly I have to. But isn't it true that the oh so realistic game called Counterstrike was and still is very popular on the pc up until this day? And what about all those Unreal games? Quake? Doom? Oh and the famous and very popular Battlefields? There is nothing wrong if people like them but don't act like this is only going on-on consoles cause lot's of these games are on pc as well. I also want to remind you that the number one 360 game according to many reviews is Oblivion. And that surely isn't a game without depth. Never played it but I think sort of the same can be said for Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic on Xbox. Some of the games are pick up and play but who says every game has to be like that on console? Again this simply can be translated back to PC as well, as PC also have there p&p games. I don't know about you but I bought a console for my self what Joe wants is his business. Also many times I've spent hours non stop alone or in the same server with friends so again I've no clue who tells you all these things but they surely aren't true. I find it so funny that many of you seem to know things better about me than I even do myself. You say we supposedly don't like these games but at the same time I and others ask for ArmA on 360, but you simply ignore that fact. Also some refer us as "kids" but most of the people I have spoken on Xbox Live are in there final 20's and mid 30's up till in there 40's (like Max . Which is not the average school kid you always hear people about. And if that's not it than some of you suddenly turn into developers and say it isn't possible to achieve it, I say let the real dev's decide that not you.

Yeah so? Sorry no offence but I don't understand your point. They have to do what they have to do, afcourse they need to be creative to let it function properly but they've already demonstrated with OFP:E that it works so I don't see a problem. I can't help it that they only release arcade shooters, that has nothing to do with us being diverent. But by coming to this board and let them hear our voices we hope to make a change. Can I also remind you that you have arcade shooters on pc as well (they even started there). And the fact that we are discussing this in the first place already proves console gamers do like these kind of games.

Those statements are wrong and misleading. The 360 controller has 11 normall buttons, 2 analog sticks (2x 360 degree angle) that as well can be pushed in (+2=13), plus a d-pad (4 or 8 directions?). First of all I'm not sure if OFP on pc uses so many more keys than the avarage pc shooter but if I play one I basically use a fraction of all the (103/104?) buttons found on a keyboard. Secondly with OFP:E they've already demonstrated that it's perfectly possible to do so. Also with a little bit of wise programming lot's is possible like one action button combined with one of the sticks can result in a menu with many options. And more similar tricks can be used. Not always as ideal as a direct key but possible. That's fine you choose pc I console why is personal I could give you many reasons why I prefer console and vice versa could you, but that's unimportant. If it's possible and I don't see any reason it isn't than there's no reason we shouldn't enjoy ArmA.

This is exactly how I see it Max there is a huge demand for a true serious military game for the 360. Especially now that they're losing alot of people that aren't satisfied with how the Ghost Recon series (the once only worthy tactical shooter on Xbox) has turned into. I bet the reason that OFP:E didn't sell well had nothing to do with that console gamers aren't into these kind of games. I know lot's of people that definately would buy ArmA if it would be released on console. OFP:E is in it's way definately a good game but let's be honest it looked and feeled absolutely too dated for the time it was released. I had that game for a long time on my "games to buy list" but they kept delaying it up to even years iirc. And when it finally came out a few months later the 360 already was in stores. So lot's of people simply wouldn't buy it because of that. And I absolutely agree that by playing it on pc you have many advantages like mods, keyboard etc. Altough same can be said for console. But that's up to everyone for himself to decide whether he likes it on pc or console.
