Hifi Sound FX V1.00 Released
The Susser replied to Mark XIII (DayZ)'s topic in ARMA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Wtf don't guilt trip me out with your life. Spend your time with family don't brings others down with your obvious lack of sel respect. -
Can't you just reset the server, or do you have to use the #shutdown command from inside the game?

Some guy was playing music down direct speak (VON), he looked like he was singing...funny stuff

ACE Everon - BETA version -Read the details please
The Susser replied to the-f's topic in ARMA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
ACE, FDF and MFCTI the future is looking bright. Awesome job lads, gonna fly through the vally south to St Pierre. -
Buy Artic Cooling Freezer 7 and tap into the potential of the CPU you have. Increase you CPU voltage to about 1.375 and overclock that gem of a processor. I have mine running @ 3.4ghz

Really awesome. My only gripe is the teleport. Mobile respawns are great and the teleport option is great for domination as it is only Ai you are going up against. This is PVP and I think having the option to spawn at mainbase or the MHQ is more appropriate. How annoying would it be to stuble across a MHQ only to have the enemy teleport away, to escape death...I do it all the time on domination Just something to consider and btw I am loving this mission.

To get a realistic PVP would be nigh on impossible. Who would want to be part of a convoy that is attacked or patrol a base at night when spec ops attack. Just not workable, thats why the only realistic missions will be found with coop. Even then 99 percent of coop missions are not realistic, in any way shape or form. I have played PR and its just BF2 with some definite improvements, but the essential BF2 gameplay is there except you have to cap flags in sequence. Limiting classes to certain roles, having to aquire kits certainly cuts down on the usual BF nonsense. ArmA is so much more than that. PVP evo and MFCTI coming soon certainly take advantage of ArmA's scale. PR is recycling boring C&H/Conquest. I find PR more enjoyable then vanilla BF2 but it comes no where near as close to ArmA for innovation and orginality. With the editor anything is possible so what you suggest is very workable, I just think it wouldn't appeal to the ArmA masses. After you played the Epic CTI you can never go back.

I have been getting that bug on versions 1.08 and 1.09. Usually brought on when I play about with the texture settings, or happens if I alt tab alot in a short space of time. The game will have been running quite awhile though. So no major headache. I have a GForce8800 GTX - driver 174.60

Great patch, no need for Durgs vegetation fix anymore. I found the ai to be more aggresive and less accurate. I managed to conceal myself effectively in bushes and was able to hide and paint targets. Until I was forced to move away, from an advancing patrol. VOIP is great, some of you need to turn your mics up though. The patch as a whole has buffed the co-op experience.

The reason why alot of players hate Evo is because of the constant travelling, from base to the frontline, after each death. It's a game and should be fun. A mobile spawn would be great. Certainly would up the FUN factor, by ten fold. Some of us ain't got the time, nor do we wish to keep hanging around for chopper rides or driving huge distances. Just to die again, a few minutes after arriving. The mission is absolutley fantastic. here's hoping you add a MHQ (like the one in cti, not domination) So some of us with very little time can actually enjoy a map of such a huge scale. Currently only Domination fits that profile, for me at least.

6thSense.eu Presents: "Pack1"
The Susser replied to sickboy's topic in ARMA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
I too am getting missing tracers on many weapons and vehicles. Also Sickboy your direct download links seem to be corrupted, at least the ones in your sig. I had to get the mods from arma.info edit:- SIX_Pack1 and SIX_Pack2 Awesome package btw mate gives me a whole new outlook on this game I'm running latest XEH, FDF sounds, ECS, NWD scope and SIX_Pack1 as my usual setup. I have swapped the 3 files, as instructed elsewhere, for enabling FDF sounds and Six Tracers with ECS. I get missing tracers on tanks, static MG's and other stuff like that. The tracers that do work look really awesome. I'm sure its a conflict with the addons somewhere. I will be testing the whole Six sense package this weekend when I finish downloading the 900 meg addons, look forward to it. from what I've seen so far it really rocks. -
let me guess, youre playing 1.08? One of the pros for playing 1.09 is the lack of KFCers and blatant cheats. General tomfoolery is at an all time low. I can't help it guys, I almost wish they take another year for the final release and give us many betas

Steam is awesome. No need to buy another copy, because your discs are scratched. Endless downloads, autoupdates and a simple interface for enabling addons and other start up parameters. Community news and/or links direct to you as you start up Steam. Steam also does multipack deals and you can get many games for little cost. The advertising (its not intrusive) will help the community too, of course there is the get caught cheating and have your Steam account banned policy I downloaded GTA-SA from steam, was supposed to be NA only, I live in the UK. Fingers crossed, BIS will pump out ArmA2 on Steam.

The beta patch is incredible. I can actually see in the distance and the frames per second are better. The map is instant now, so you can flick between the map and game without flying into a hill Shame about Linux More people should try the beta, it is only an addon folder and you can play 1.08 anytime you like. Takes a moment to setup...a must for 8800 users.

Before you throw accusations around. Learn to aim and learn about spatial awareness. Why would I cheat in co-op? Seems retarded tbh. So less of your tking and hate spam and more attention to the mission. Kant.

Gauntlet (Arcade) Doom Operation Flashpoint.

Add BF2 conquest clone to that as well. I suppose if it works....:)

So can anyone tell me why everyone is playing coop
The Susser replied to Tigran's topic in ARMA - MULTIPLAYER
After playing OFP for a few hours today, I conclude that ArmA is more clumsy. I see the point of the PvP players. While the movement may have been tweaked I can't help feeling it hinders, more than immerses, gameplay. In fact ArmA now feels too sluggish in comparison. Really awkward to be honest. My gaming has been soured. Bah, I wish I never installed OFP again Gonna take a while to get back into it. -
Vista Troubleshooting Thread: The one and only
The Susser replied to sickboy's topic in ARMA - TROUBLESHOOTING
I have 2 hard drives. One with Vista 64 Home Premium and One with XP. Running q6600 @ 3.4, 2 gig crucial ballistix (4 gig when I attempted Vista), Xfi Fatal1ty and Gforce 8800gtx, Abit IP35 pro (tasty for over clocking) mobo. Arma runs like a bag of turd with Vista compared to XP. I don't really use my Vista setup. Shame really cause I have 2 gig of crucial sitting there doing nothing. I tried everything to get Arma running stable and for all my efforts I could not. Fingers crossed later driver combined with 1.09 patch will solve the many issues. -
Finnish Defence Forces Mod
The Susser replied to feersum.endjinn's topic in ARMA - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
FDF was the best mod for OFP. Loads of maps with fog and rain while the rest of the community were pumping out sunny day missions FDF gave us horrible weather and an atmosphere 2nd to none. -
What do you think about paid addons idea?
The Susser replied to RN Malboeuf's topic in ARMA - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
exactly what I was going to write. thanks for doing it for me -
So can anyone tell me why everyone is playing coop
The Susser replied to Tigran's topic in ARMA - MULTIPLAYER
PvP rocks. Coop rocks. IMO CTF sucks. After playing Tribes 2, CTF in any other format just feels like a half assed effort. Anyway these arguments are silly. I doubt many have not enjoyed CTF missions where an entire clan using vent has a public server and is wtfpwning the less organised side. No this is not crying cause I was owned its a comment on unbalanced gameplay. Great for the clans morale and the hangers on. Killing the appeal of CTF to the non clan members. You are your own worse enemy. -
So can anyone tell me why everyone is playing coop
The Susser replied to Tigran's topic in ARMA - MULTIPLAYER
CTF is a part of those unlimited game modes and it's not like the server list is plagued by hundreds of those dirty, nasty CTF games anyway. Unlike a certain other game mode. Mature players like to grind mindless AI opponents for higher ranks? Because Evolution is basically all this game has to offer online, the rest are under a very big rock. Indeed ArmA to its full potential. What have PvP players done to you to deserve such a low opinion? Did they give you a firsthand lesson in combat tactics and aiming speed? You are assuming I play EVO. I do not, ok. Evolution seems to be the only mode available if you browse public servers. Like choosing a wife in a nightclub. You gonna get slappers. There are many servers, albeit closed ones, that offer multiple game modes. get involved go to a forum post your interest and you'll soon be pwning your noobs in PvP. Or is that the problem? Public servers are awash with noobs that are easy kills and the closed servers have the more experienced players. As for quick aiming I can hold my own as far as ArmA allows for fast paced aiming. I have Unreal 3 and Planetside for that twitch fix. I notice you have Hexenkessle in your sig. I was playing that over 5 years ago in OFP. Move on -
So can anyone tell me why everyone is playing coop
The Susser replied to Tigran's topic in ARMA - MULTIPLAYER
The big attraction of this game is the unlimited game modes on offer. CTI being the hybrid of coop and capture and hold (bezerk) really demonstates what this engine can do. Why choke it with crappy little ctf maps? You have a huge island and to narrow the parameters of the map to a small section is really not ArmA. The ArmA/OFP community is more mature than most gaming communities and attracts as Walker said "The more Cerebral Player" This is reflected by the maps on offer. Clearly the fashion victims have crossed over to the latest "In Thing" and IMHO the servers are alot more friendlier. The maps are being played to their full potential, a lot more these days. I hate to sound nasty but don't let the door hit you n the way ouit. the community is far better without the Ritalin addicts. -
Ask your self why you like ArmA. Realism and immersion, unsurpassed by any other game, would be my guess. I'm suprised to hear ArmA players complaining about fighting at night. After all its a simulation. Why ignore one of the essential aspects of any combat simulation. Shitty weather and Night fighting add to the immersion, for me at least. Too many maps have been made with the weather hot and sunny. gets tedious after a while. FDF had the most awful weather and fighting conditions and that made it ooze atmosphere.
