Hi guys Amazing work on the P85 ACES config :) However - there don't appear to be any of the P85 unit groups in the editor - making it very time-consuming creating missions. P85 had a heap of groups configured - would you be able to add these back in to your version? (Or am I doing something wrong :\) I've got it installed and all up to date using WithSix. Cheers!

Hiya I did the replacement pack and the optics are few and far between based upon me looking at as many pics as possible of Russian troops, and they're just not that common. But yeah - optics are great to use so feel free to make your own version! Pete

I love this mod, but on my Core 2 E6400 with 4GB, NVIDIA 9800GTX and Vista 32-bit, performance absolutely dies in a firefight. I can use GL4 fine and will probably need to stick with that . . . Any recommendations?

Nice work on the updated pack! I've updated Deadfast's RH AKs replacement to include the AK-107s, Makarovs and the RPK (i know the mag is wrong, but . . . .) and using it happily. I'm guessing he'll do his own update soon . . . Pete

My replacement pack for Vanilla is laid out below. It uses a good spread of weapons, based upon what i could observe/read as being somewhat realistic. I haven't changed everything - just most things :) I'm working on configs for more RPG types as I want to get the RPG-26 or RPG-27 in to replace the obsolescent RPG-18.

I haven't planned it out yet - so put your ideas on the table :) Someone else may well beat me to it of course. Pete

Concerning to think someone gets so upset and angry when they feel . . . that they just haven't been shot enough. I hope you backed up your barn claims with some thorough testing in the editor and a control situation with vanilla Arma2. But seriously - if you don't like it, don't use it and get on with enjoying ArmA2 :)

How bout doing 2 core vehicle configs and just using the AT-5 model? * 9P133 with 9M14P "Malyutka-P" (AT-3c) * 9P148 with 9M113 "Konkurs" (AT-5) Better to have the unit than not - you don't normally see the ATGM in flight! :) Ah - this brings back the old days of working on CAVS for OFP . . . stashed away a lot of weapons/vehicle data for reference. We should prob move this to Vila's dev forum . . .

Excellent! One good resource to use is WinSPMBT, a free updated version of Steel Panthers with a detailed encyclopedia based on serious grognard research. There's an absolute wealth of information regarding weapon designations, ammo capacities, relative armour strenghts etc. DDR: BRDM-2 designation is SPW-40P2 - image here. There's a site about the NVA here.
