  1. Yep on 1.09b in campaign. One of my AI soldiers who was manning a field gun in a defensive battle took a hit and ended up in suspended hover animation just like that screen shot.
  2. Having problems getting CWR running with mods, mainly because of that pecular bat file start up. Here is how I have structured my mods "D:\Program Files\Atari\ArmA\beta\arma.exe" -mod=beta;CWR -world=abel;@SIX_Pack1;@lowplants;@NWD_TankFCS;@CSM However this results in repeated CTDs. Where as if I just punch the CWR_Beta_bat fix, it works fine in 1.09. Any suggestions?

    Tank Fire Control Systems

    Strange occurance here. While playing 1.09 with mod enabled during one of the campaign tank assaults, the mod was not working through most of the session, but once when I changed tanks it started working. Changed tanks again and it stopped. Weirdness...
  5. Make sure you turn off eax in beta and CRW, also make sure you have hardware disabled in both. That worked for me, though the sound is lack luster, but it did not crash.
  6. Okay go it to work right through the demo mission without issues. I now can officially delete OPFLash from my hard drive. This one mission tops anything in ARMA BTW.
  7. OKay just a bit of help here. I downloaded the hotfix and extracted it to my main ARMA folder however when I punch the desktop launch icon it still says I need version 1.09. I also tried placing the hotfix files in the CWR folder to no avail. What am I missing? BTW thanks guys happy christmas indeed.
  8. Not fixed. Not fixed. Biggest disappointment after all the advertisement is VoN as teddyjw wrote some messages ago. It is allmost not possible to hear other players. Wondering if we are missing some settings or something else because in the videos from Dslyecxi it's fine and does what one can expect. Xeno You must have your settings wrong or something. I played last night on the Tactical gamer server and voice comms worked really well. Remember that direct voice is locational and so if you are far from the speaker it will sound quiet.

  10. I get that fog bug too, but worse. We were attacking Epeno?? and from 1 angle you could see the town, but when you moved to another spot, the town became shrouded in fog. It was a cool affect but not consistently applied. Also how do you use voip channels? It appears to always default to "group". Do I have to set up a separate key combo to get the other channels and then press and hold to talk on them? I would like it if they acted like the text chat channels, where you switch and it remains on that channel.

    Volume of fire and game dynamics

    As stated, the big issue is lack of cover. IRL a battlefield will offer all sorts of places where you can hole up with decent FOF without exposing your noggon to direct fire. Specifically thinking about damages structures etc.

    37 pages and a great video: this must be the place to be One big question about the mod. Does it include all those other mods listed in the video? Is Arma Effects a compliation of the others--e.g., chammy sound mod, SLX, 6th sense etc.

I think it is pretty obvious from reading the blog on Arma2 that the product will be a working version of ARMA that will be the true squel to OPFlash, with all its RPG mission glory, plus improved performance etc. etc. Nothing less (I hope) and nothing more. Look at this way, when Codemasters and BIS split, BIS lost a chunk of its development $$$ stake. As a result they needed to release ARMA as is (an interim step on the way to opflash 2/ARMA2) in order to generate some cash to get the job done. People can whine all they want about how it was unfair to release ARMA blah blah, but remember this: who else is making these kinds of military combat simulator games (not FPS games) these days?? Most other game makers have already decided that there is no money in this type of game, that is why we get MOH 1-4 and COD 1-4 etc etc. All good games but not simulators IMHO. Thus instead of whining, recognize it for what it is and support these struggling companies. What is $50, 3-4 tickets to a bad hollywood movie. This is also why no one is making military flight sims any more (except oleg).

    Flawed modeling?

    I have 1.08 runing and it is with the M-16A. Happens everytime. It does not happen with the 240 or the 249, but I can't but sure that I am squeezing off just on single round. I will check with other weapons. Okay did some more checking. BTW it was not the M-16A that was 2 shot kills, in was the M-4 I also tested the US marksmen auto rifle (forget name) and it was a 2-shot kill. Funny thing was that as a pilot with a pistol --1 shot kill. Ak-47 1 shot kill. all shots to the face. Can anyone replicate?

    Flawed modeling?

    Okay, been messing around in my editor checking out various addons and I notice that I have to shoot soliders twice in the face at point blank before they go down. What is with that?
