Same here, and I seem to be in some minority of people who hate 3rd person view (though admittedly I'll use it to see if things like backpacks are matching with my uniform lol ).

And this complimentary movie.

Good to know, thanks for keeping us in the loop. -
Yeah I had a soft spot for it :D I was kinda hoping to see future varients of it (SA58 OSW with CCO and RCO varients, or like how the HK417 got the holo 4x (eotec/aimpoint with magnifier) treatment).

We probably won't see much denser woodland areas from what we saw in Takistan. Maybe a few patches here and there. inb4 A3 is released, people wine the map has no big forests, expansion is released and has a thick african jungle map, people whine that it's unplayable.

Mmmm, your tears are delicious. :D

Would that explain the disappearance of the SA-58 FAL model (labeled as just SA-58 at the time and i swear up and down it wasn't the Czech one of the similar naming scheme). Kinda wondered what happened to it. http://browser.dev-heaven.net/cfg_weapons/show/282988 Found it from earlier build classlist.

Arma 3: Confirmed features | info & discussion
Steakslim replied to Maio's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
They're not swaying that fast, but, they are moving in a rather odd uniform way, with seemingly little dynamic changes, but i'm gonna chalk that all up to it being an early build, and rightfully so for a lot of the things in the video. -
Pweeze give us battle kittens, BIS, pwweeeezzzeee
-
you can find the same on ArmA3's facebook page with 1920x1200 (have to d/l to see at that res). EDIT: Ninja'd by Miracle Whip.

70 get (now it's 4chan) -
An issue that some have already brought up I'm sure, and if not I'll do it now. Grass, and pretty much other plant life but lets start with the basics. In the past games this has affected us in several ways. With high grass we had AI picking us off that could see through it better than we could, and that is true for a lot of the foliage in the game. It doesn't render out far enough to properly conceal objects at a distance, and while we having a rising ground texture to compensate for this, it still isn't quite right. So.....grass. Do you think we'll see these plant related issues finally taken care of? Do you think BIS finally have a solution of rendering a more realistic, or at least a more convincing method of hiding someone hiding in a high grassy field at a fair distance? Do you think the AI, will be more impaired in a proper sense, when trying to detect and track an enemy player's movements or where-abouts through dense vegetation?

heads up Archo you need to fix your post. You're quoting images which is a no no here.

I'll be the 'next' one to say this, but this thread is retarded.

Recording Tool for ArmA II
Steakslim replied to Brain's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
There's no recorder like what you described for ArmA that I know of. I know what you are describing, as games like old Counter Strike had what you described (which was really handy for server admins catching wallhackers). I think CoD:Black Ops has one as well that does the same (just listing examples for anyone else viewing this thread). Given the amount of events that occur any given moment in an ArmA mission, a recorder of that type may have issues with all the data being fed into it, but I have no knowledge if there would be any difficulties, just speculating. It would be really handy though for those who would like to record their sessions, and then go back and make detailed movies out of them in the editor. Edit: Or what Bullet posted. -
in the time when I had a 9800gtx and a gtx260 (both would do what you described after a certain driver was released and continued to since), I think a way I fixed the low speeds is to use a OC program like rivatuner, where you can go in and force 3d mode rather than let the card clock down in 2d mode like it does, however to get it to actually work might require some extra steps. EDIT: Regarding Rivatuner, I haven't used it for some time so I do not know how up to date it is now and days for it to even work properly. In which case I'd suggest trying to set your power management settings in your Nvidia display options to Maximum power rather than Adaptive to see if it solves the problem (probably won't, but who knows).

What weapons/vehicles would you like to see in ArmA 3?
Steakslim replied to archaon98's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
any article backing this up? -
I think this can go in the realm of the component driven damage system like what people what for vehicles, and i'm sure everyone would welcome a new non-hitpoint damage system altogether.
