I want to put a machine gunner in a MG nest and I don't want him to move, just want him to defend/attack but stay put. How?

bad graphics performance - BiS confirm?
Segwin replied to 7SD-Toker's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
I've got a GTX 285 and the new 190.X drivers do nothing to improve ArmA2. Still get bad FPS and warping on MP. Was hoping though.... -
Anyone else notice that the sensation of vehicle speed is way off? In ArmA when you were going fast the scenery moved by quickly - in ArmA2 you could be doing 95KPH and it feels like your in a school zone. The advertised speed vs. what the scenery looks like as you traveling at the advertised speed is way off.

Me too - i7940 & ASUS Rampage 2 Extreme along with 6 gig of ram and nVidia GTX 285. Might as well be a P2 and nVidia Gforce II. ArmA MP however runs like a meth addict from the law.

Me neither - -
HA! :icon_slap: Thanks, I needed that!

How did you patch them Eric? I can only drag them to safety (and then they crawl back out and get shot )

Some genuine patch 1.03 information

If they just fixed the MP FPS and stutters I'd be a happy camper. -
Question for you: I have a i7940 sitting on a ASUS Rampage extreme II, 6 gig of tripple channel ram and a nVidia GTX 285. The sound is Creative X-fi ( I think). While my CPU is about 30-40%, as yours, I get stutters in the game. Do you? If so any thought on what causes this?

Running ACE 1.09 with the latest Beta exe. For no reason at all some of the AI fall down like their shot - after a minute or so they get back up on their feet. Funny as hell to watch. Anyone else ever see this?

This happend on the canned missions "Delivery Boy". Not a great mission but was trying it out after building a new computer. I pulled into the base, none of them were getting into the truck so I hopped out and that's when one of them fell down. They were all just standing there when it happened. I started laughing. Not the only time it has happened though. Odd.

The problem is that no one is around and they haven't gotten shot. They just wig out and fall to the ground.

I've installed ACEIP and have downloaded the mission packs for the missions like Clean Sweep and Clean Sweep II. Was looking forward to trying some of my old favorites in ArmA. I'm getting the error message: you cannot play/edit this mission it is dependent on downloadable content that has been deleted.ace.everon I'm also getting this error message: no entry 'bin\config.bin/cfgworlds.everon :( Help!

Just started playing on a new computer and even though I complete the mission I never get the X in box showing it has been complete. Same with training.

Just built a new computer and am seeing a strange effect. I'll be playing and all of a sudden the screen goes black (looks like it is going to CTD) then after 5-7 seconds I get the word receiving and then it's back to normal game play. Asus Rampage II Extreme, i7 940, nVidia 285 GTX. Vista 64bit Thoughts?

It's not power supply - I'm running a 850 watt supply. It's not over heating either, I'm not OC and the new cabinet has 6 fans - with one 120MM on the top. I though it might be an over heating issue but I'm running the ASUS temp monitior and every thing looks OK.

Which drivers are you using? I've installed the latest but may roll back to the ones that came with the installation disk.

Defective RAM can corrupt anything, it is almost as bad as defective CPU. Downloaded data are stored in RAM for a while before written to the harddisk. There is no way data could be written directly from your network cable to the storage. I should have known that but the thought never occurred to me.

For some reason ArmA started to crash right after starting it. I figured I'd just uninstall and reinstall. Upon trying to reinstall it I was getting error messages about bad CRC checksum while it was unpacking (I downloaded the version from Atari). After that occurred numerous times I thought I'd try the DVD (bought that to for insurance). Same thing. Scanned for virus and malware - none found. I tried installing in safe mode and while I got the downloaded version to install without error messages when I tried to update to 1.08 (yes, US version) I kept getting "error xdelta3 returned error code 1". I think that although the original install didn't have crc errors the 1.08 update thought the files were not the same. A friend, Fish, suggested I try installing it on another computer and then just transfer it which seems to work. It did install the registry keys ok. Anyone else have these problems and figure out what the problem was?

Update: Finally traced out the problem to a bad stick of RAM. Â Oddly enough the 1.08 update I downloaded was corrupted by the bad stick of RAM. Â I installed the new RAM and tried to use the 1.08 I downloaded but kept getting the same error messages. Â Only when I downloaded a fresh copy of the 1.08 patch did it work. Â I never knew that defective RAM could corrupt downloads. Left a email requesting technical help from Atari - never heard back. Â Â I did call the UK online tech support (I live in the States) and the one person I talked to really did try to help but didn't know where to turn understandably, good guy never the less. They are always set to readily take your money but seem to forget your name afterward. Â Great customer service.... POS

Thanks Synide for helping out. The small compass was a pain in the behind.
