Although I had some problems deciphering this moonspeak, it looks like you're trying to accuse me of hacking. I'm not exactly sure what it has to do with this topic, however. As far as I know, I wasn't hacking, but I'm flattered you think so. If I recall correctly, you kicked me from your server because you weren't able to shoot me while I was in the terrorist base. Hey, if you can't kill him, kick him, right? If you want to continue this discussion, allow us to do so via PM. I don't wish to derail this topic with useless bickering. On Topic 1.11 sounds great, although I'm not sure what you mean by "added: Mission Parameter to set the refresh time of Civmarkers outside of a City. Cops will always be able to see Civmarkers in a city or when they are closer than 200 meters". Does this mean they will be off outside a city? Or on all the time?

Well, I don't mean to be rude, the 1.10 was a complete flop. You managed to add more bugs and increase lag. I just spent 15 minutes trying to connect to a server running 1.10 (I left to make food, didn't hover over the computer the whole time ), and only made it as far as the "Receiving Data" screen. I left and connected to a 1.02 server within just a few seconds, so the problem is no on my side. With that said, the one game that I actually did get in to play was quite nice. I love the updated buying system (Finally can buy magazines in bulk), the new bank location, I'm somewhat happy with the sirens (Although the sound is bad and I don't know why you didn't have an on/off switch instead of a timed siren), the higher prices for items (Seems to reduce clutter, and I didn't feel a great impact playing as a civ), and the cellphones (Great not worrying about snitches on the team anymore). I haven't tried the guild system yet, and I fear I may never be able to, as any server running 1.10 is impossible to connect to. However, if you can manage to fix the lag problems, and actually release the new version this year, I think it will be a great update.

AFAIK, you can't "Blow up all the shops". The flags are indestructible; no amount of bombs is going to make them go away. And, if by "Ruin the game" you mean having to actually step away from the bank and chase criminals, then yeah, weapons have that effect. I think there are better games for you. World of Warcraft has all the elements of a good RPG without those big scary things like guns, cars, crime, and sunlight. Oh lawd, I lol'd. Teamkilling cops is okay, but civs with smuggled guns isn't.

I can't think of any good reason to stop it. Corruption of police adds a whole new dynamic to the game, and honestly, I haven't really seen anyone but myself and a few others doing it, so it's not making a serious negative impact on the game. Keep in mind Jana, you are the one who told me that cops TKing each other is just "Role-Playing". I think whiney, habitual cop players are going to destroy this mission, especially server admins who almost exclusively play cop. Getting killed, bank being robbed, having to chase criminals is part of the mission, not an exploit of it. Sure, it sucks to get shot in the back by a civ, and I've had my fair share of temper tantrums about it, but in retrospect it's what makes the game interesting. I'd say I play cop about half the time, and sure it's harder to find civs without markers, but then again it's fun to have to track them down, as opposed to just checking my map for their icon. Likewise, it's fun for them because now they actually have a chance to escape. On that note, I'd have to say I agree with toning down the weapons available to both teams. Give the cops more realistic "cop" weapons (Pistols, SMGs, M4) and vehicles (Cop Car, Offroad, Motorcycles, Gun Truck), and take away their military-grade weapons (AT, AA, Machine Guns, Satchels, Mines) and vehicles (Tanks!?, APCs, Blackhawks, Harriers). Likewise, give the civs more "Terrorist-Like" vehicles.

I understand completely that it's entirely up to the server owner to decide who gets to play on his/her server (After all, they are footing the bill). If I felt compelled to do so, there are programs which would allow someone to circumvent a ban, however although I disagree with Jana's choice to ban me, she pays the bills, and I won't join her server if she doesn't want me to (Although I am quite disappointed that I will no longer be able to play the JT updates). With that said, I don't think criticism of what could be perceived as abusive admin behavior is out of bounds at all. The intended purpose is not to whine to the admin, rather to warn other players of abnormal behavior, and possibly convince them to avoid certain servers, thus avoiding a bad experience. This is especially important considering there are so few active SahraniLife servers. I was banned from Jana's for inquiring as to why a mission was restarted (Causing me to lose about 2 hours worth of work). Upon asking whether to join the cop or civ team I was told by Jana "Here, I'll make the decision easy for you", and promptly banned without explanation. On topic: I'm delighted to hear that civmarkers will be removed outside of towns. However, I'm not too enthusiastic about the "Civmarkers within 50m of cop". I think the game would be well balanced without this feature, while still allowing civs to feasibly escape and become fugitives. Also, forgive me is this has been mentioned already, but is it possible to make spy cameras static (As in a security camera) rather than following players?

You weren't playing on Jana's server were you? I don't usually 'BAWWW' about server admins, but Jana and 5th's are some of the worst I've ever had to deal with. A shame, because both are some of the best SahraniLife servers.

    Sahrani Life

I have been hooked on this mission for two days now, very good job! Some things that might improve the mission: More Players! 16 is really not enough. Watching over only 8-10 civvies gets boring after awhile. More "Suitable" Weapons/Vehicles I have never seen police officers running around with .50cal sniper rifles, or driving tanks. Maybe limit their arsenal to small rifles (G36C, MP5, basic M16), and police-appropriate vehicles (Police Car, motorcycle, 4x4 MG)? On the same token, civilians driving around in Humvees isn't exactly fitting either. Maybe give them more "terrorist-appropriate" vehicles (UAZ MGs, offroads)? Map-Cleaners With how long Sahrani Life games last, it's not surprising how much junk gets piled up. Destroyed and abandoned (But locked) cars, roadblocks from players who've disconnected, etc. all pile up so high that sometimes it's hard to even drive through the city, or leave your spawn. Maybe there's a way of deleting roadblocks after their owner leaves the server, or gets a certain distance away from them? The Bank I have to agree with the statement another gentleman made earlier that the civilian's spawn and the bank need to be in different places. The cops spend 90% of the game sitting outside of the bank, and this leads to problems when the players spawn (Cops spending time searching/ticketing players who've just spawned). Since the civvy spawn actually looks like a hospital, I'd suggest moving the bank somewhere else. A good spot would be just a block north at the building just at the mouth of the cobblestone road. It's got a guard tower, guard boxes, a perimeter wall, and looks ALOT more like a bank than the yellow building you have it at now. Flags Things would feel less awkward if the flags were ditched in favor of buildings or objects. For instance instead of walking to a flag to use the bank, you would walk up to a pre-existing building to get your menu, same for licenses, etc. Finally, the cops The "officer" unit for OPFOR looks a whole lot more like a cop than his RACS equivalent. He's got a nice uniform, and even a "police cap". (Building in the back is the one I suggested earlier for the bank) Again, great map, and don't stop updating!

    Create a Camp

Wow, what a helpful post. Notice:
  9. Hey guys, I've searched and searched to no avail for this. I'm making a SP mission where the player can walk around and choose where he wants to build his camp via the action menu. It's just a small camp with some tents and ammo crates, and ideally I'd like it to come pre-assembled (That is, spawn in with the ammo crates, radios, tents already in place, as opposed to having the player put them down individually). Then I'd like the action choice to go away once it's built. Is there anyone who can help or point me to a place to get a script that would suit these needs? I've searched Armaholic and some other sites already.

    Portan's Rising

Hello all, this is my first mission for the Queen's Gambit expansion and Porto Island. Mission is a simple urban map with the player leading a squad of mercenaries (The same ones from Royal Flush). Story In lieu of recent insurgent activity in the area, several oil corporations with offices in the city have elected to evacuate their employees from the island of Porto. Your team has been contracted to support this task. Your mission is to safely evacuate the employees to the port, and hold it until watercraft are sent to transport the group out. Your mission will fail if you lose all of the employees, or your position at the port is overrun. You will be expected to hold your ground for 10-15 minutes before the boats arrive. Download

    High Detail Texture Project

Good job. This has the potential to be a VERY good map, there's just a few things that really need to be added before it feels "complete": -Shape You usually don't find gigantic square islands in reality. If you could find a way to even out the edges of the Island to make it look more natural it would improve the map leaps and bounds. -Lack of Objects I like where you're going with the desert theme, but even deserts have some trees. Adding the occasional stand of palms, bushes, rocks, and maybe a few villages would really help the map feel more "real". It won't really effect performace unless you're planning on putting in a forest. -Water I like the canyons! But we need water flowing continuously through them! One thing I hated abotu Sahrani was the lack of rivers/canals/marshes. This map is so close to having an extensive river system, all you need to do it raise the water. Make sure to throw some rocks and greenery around the water for more realism. Also, the two rivers don't look to realistic running the way they are. Parhaps you could eliminate one, or incorporate them. Adding some tributaries and streams would be awesome too. Once again, I'm really looking forward to seeing where this map goes. Good job.
  12. yes Okay, this is what I need then, thanks.
  13. Will the heli fire at the enemy if it's captive?
  14. Simple question. I searched for two days but couldn't find the awnser, so now I'm coming here. For gameplay purposes I'm trying to keep RACS M113s from engaging an AI helicopter I have flying around the map. Is there any way to keep them from firing at the chopper, while still allowing them to shoot ground units?

    Advance And Secure: Corazol [Beta]

I'll have to search up some scripts to get it working, but it sounds like a good idea.
