Do you mean the actual base, or the first wall of defense with the barbed wire and stuff? Cuz I did kind of the same thing, except I didn't add any blufor, only a bunch of opfor soldiers and I made them march into the first wall of defense. They got mowed down big time. I might have only lost 1-3 blufor. They deffinitly shot through anything in front of them.... Have not tested the main base though, so you might be right if it's that case.

No clue if anything like that has already been mentioned, I dont think so. BUT, I really REALLY like that idea. Hope someone can get that to work. Would come in handy very often!

grass clips through building floors

Hmm.... I don't know then. I just used grasscutters today because I put down an asphalt runway on Rahmadi and the grasscutters stopped the grass from clipping through the runway. I had to put a fuckin kajillin of them down though, and it took forever and looks horrible, but it did the trick lol. Well... I dunno what else to suggest, good luck. -
Hey everyone. I am a complete newb when it comes to scripts, and I was wondering if anyone could get me a script that will cause whatever enters the trigger(s) to get repaired, refueled, and rearmed. Kind of like what happens in the evolution map. I downloaded a script by killjoy that's soposed to do it, only 2 problems with it though. Not enough triggers, and when I try making more, they don't work. Also, it wont rearm anything. Refuel and repair work fine, but no rearming. SO, anyone able to help me out here? Thx

Thanks for that script. I gave it a try and I got this little error thing in the top left of the screen: '_obj = |NearestObject| [_Pad,_class]' Error Type Bool, Expected Number Also, my test was on an AH1Z and the refueling worked when I first turned on the choppers engins, but once I took off, I launched off some MG fire, FFAR's, and hellfires, then landed hard enough to damage the aircraft. No rearming, no refueling, and no repairing happend then. ~~EDIT~~ Nevermind, I put it in the init field of the helipad and it works fine now. Doesn't like triggers i guess. -

Empty/Objects/Grasscutter will get rid of that grass for ya. Only problem is you gotta put about a bajillion of them around for large areas. Good luck! -

Thx everyone for your replies. A couple things. I have checked the biki, I couldn't find anything that I needed, and even if I did, I most likely wouldn't have known how to use it properly. The biki is mainly there for people who already know some-what what there doing and know what there looking for. I do not know either. Also, I do have the map_misc and all that, but i'd much rather NOT use another mod that everyone will need in order to play when I know it's possible by scripting and everyone wont need that. Thanks though. -

A buddy in my unit had a problem like this with Sprocket. He called his bank and cancled the payment for the game ha ha. Needless to say, Sprocket gave him a new activation key after they seen the bank wasnt paying.

No idea myself, BUT, I had gotten someone to create me a custom face, and with my ATI Card, I seen myself with pale skin and red hair, which I do not have. I have brown hair, white skin, but not THAT white. No idea what NVIDIA people seen me as, but someone had told me that it's an issue with ATI cards....

You should all be lucky.... I have the following: CPU: Core 2 Duo E6600 2.4Ghz RAM: 2 Gigs Video Card: ATI Radeon X1950 PRO 256 MB and I have EVERYTHING turned off or VERY low, and I get times where I will have 5 FPS sitting at the airbase during an Evo map. On the other hand... I think something is wrong with my PC.. been having problems with my hard drive, and I think a good old reformat might help me get my FPS back. I used to have it good. I had everything on at least Normal and had playable FPS back when I first got ArmA in April. Ohwell... Â

ATI Catalyst 7.5 hotfix for ArmA leak

I've got an X1950.... never checked for handle leaks, but my game always ran ok. Anywayz, my question, do I just run this .exe for the hotfix without uninstalling the 7.5 drivers? Or can I just install right over 7.5 with no problems? -
Private servers are your friend. Or find a clan that has their own server and play on that one. If you insist on public servers, find one that has an admin so as soon as anything weird is noticed, banned!

AI Plane Wont Engage Targets???

GBU is a lazer guided bomb. Since the AV8's don't have proper equiptment on them, you need someone down on the ground to use the lazer thing to laze a target. I believe then, the AV8 will be able to drop his bombs guided onto your target. OR, you can go the (maybe) harder route, and use scripts ect that are already out there to have the jet just drop the bombs and tweak it till the bombs actually land on ur target. Good Luck -

Don't know if it's been mentioned because I didn't read through all 16 pages... but has anyone noticed that during a rain storm, the thunder is just never-ending until the storm passes? Maybe it's just me... I dunno, but whenever i've played (only tested in Evolution 1.5A) and a rain storm comes up, the thunder is just a continuous thunder. Maybe it's just that way in the Evolution 1.5A mission, will have to give it a test in a stock 1.7 made mission or something. ~~EDIT~~ also had FDF sound pack on as well. -
Ok, so i was just wondering if there were actually any Ground to Air missiles? Like SAM's or anything on an armored vehicle that would engage aircraft? If not, would something like this be possible? (i'd think it would be since we've got things like Stingers already that track and destroy air targets. Maybe once the tools are out?) Also, if this kind of thing is already in-game and i've just missed it during my game-play, then plz pardon my ignorance.

I too am interested in this. How goes it? Static Objects would be kewl for an early/beta kind of release. I could use a carrier type thing, or something which choppers can land and take off from.

Hello. I was just thinking about how one would prepair for creating a mission. Like, informations on storyline, where to place units, where to make them go, ect ect ect. Do you write it all down with pen and paper first... like outline your mission? Or do you just get an idea and run with it, hopping into the game editor and start plugging away? I am just curious of what you serious mission makers, as well a you new guys out there do? This information can be very helpful for newb mission makers like myself. Any hints or tips or whatever you guys can give to the world about how you prepair to make a mission? Maybe if enough good input is added, someone can make a guide of tips or something. I dunno... lets hear what you fellas got. Â Â
