Game keeps creating profile(s)?
Shadow_Spyder replied to Shadow_Spyder's topic in ARMA - TROUBLESHOOTING
~~BUMP~~ Still havnt gotten this figured out.... anyone out there know anything that may help me out? -
Ok, so recently I noticed my profile name was really messed up. Sometimes in-game it'd be normal, which would be Pvt. Roe. Other times it'd be really messed up. Heres what it says when it's messed up: Pvt%2e%20Roe That is the name of the folder in Arma Other Profiles, as well as the name of the ARMAPROFILE File inside the folder. It is like that ALL the time, and only shows messed up in-game sometimes. I've tried everything. I uninstalled ArmA, deleted all files and folders I could think of to completely rid myself of ArmA, then reinstalled, as soon as I booted up the game, there was my profile, Pvt. Roe available. I exited game, and went to Arma Other Profiles, and there was the messed up folder and file with the name above with the % signs in it. Anyone know how I can fix this? Thx

Ok, so I've just went through and set up each mod it's own file. For example, i've got a Multicam mod. I named the main file @Multicam Mod, then inside that, is an AddOns folder, then inside that, is the .pbo. In the arma Launcher, here is what i've got: C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA\@MultiCam Mod\AddOns I've also tried it without the AddOns at the end, and nothing will show up in game. I go to the editor and there is just nothing. Not ONE of the 19 or so mods i've got in there will show up in the mission editor. Anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong here? Thanks

Text editor for scripting?
Shadow_Spyder replied to Ruckus's topic in ARMA - MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
Is that Monday - April 30th, or Monday - May 7th? Plz let it be the 30th lol. Nice B-day present for me P.S. That is VERY nice. Should help newb scripters like myself A LOT! Thanks! -
Mouse and the Nostromo N52Gaming Pad for Infantry/driving. Saitek X-45 Flight Stick and keyboard for flying.

So, I was thinking today, when you got those 2 guys sitting on each side of the little bird, why are they not able to pull up their rifles and shoot at enemies? I think it'd be a kewl idea for some modders/editors to maybe try and create? OR, has this already been done in a mod or currently a WIP type thing? Back to ArmA!

ArmA: Combat Operations & able to play together??
Shadow_Spyder replied to blix2006's topic in ARMA - GENERAL
Only drawback I see is having to wait a little longer for the update to version 1.06 or 1.07 and therefore having to wait a little longer for the new content. I am from the USA and I purchased that download from Sprocket, no problems on my end, everything runs great. -
Hello all. I am currently looking into buying ArmA. Might not happen until the USA Release as money is tight on me right now. Hopefully I can purchase it sooner rather then later, but only time will tell. Anyway, I enjoy Co-op play the most, but also enjoy the PvP side of things as well, and I like to play as realistically as possible. Some info about me: Name: Ted Roe Age: 19 (20 end of the month) Location: Mesa, Arizona, USA Experience: Only beta for ArmA, but I've been playing FPS dating back to the beginning of Tom Clancys Ghost Recon. I currently have SWAT4, Americas Army, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon, Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising. Also enjoy the flight side of things. I fly Falcon 4.0: Allied Force and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004. I am looking for a military style organization, preferably United States based. SO, if anyone out there is looking for a dedicated soldier to join their ranks, please respond here, or contact me VIA E-mail @ HondaMXer13_13@yahoo.com, or VIA MSN @ SCO_Spyder@hotmail.com. Thank you for your time.

Ok, so basicly I've just purchased my ArmA English Version this morning, let the downloader go from Sprocket. Left to do some errands and whatnot, came home, and it's frozen at 89% and keeps doing some Bad CheckSum! Restarting Download. Anyone know how I can get this to download? I've already sent in an e-mail to sprocket support, but who knows how long it'll be before they even reply to me. I should've been playing this damn game like 2 hours ago, I don't want to have to waite for another day possibly until I can even get the support. Also, I know there is already a Sprocket help thread, but i'm not going to search 24 pages to find my answer, which I might not even find at all and have just wasted my time. ~~EDIT~~ Nevermind. I just let it go and keep downloading, stopping every 5 min with that error, but it EVENTUALLY finished. Took a WHOLE LOT longer then it should have, but the game is downloaded and installed.

ARMA Morealism, adding Ultra realism...
Shadow_Spyder replied to dirtylarrygb's topic in ARMA - GENERAL
I give this idea 2 thumbs up. This is the kinda stuff I've been looking for in games since I can remember. I know the first fPS I ever got into, Tom Clancys Ghost Recon had some civilians, and there were lots of missions where if you shot them, mission over. I don't have ArmA just yet, but when I get it, I will be getting involved in mission making, and I will deffinitly be trying to make my missions as Realistic and Moralistic as possible.
