  1. Is there a way to do this with a group of AI around a wreckage? IE) A CSAR mission that has a c130 wreck with friendly (health at 0) guys, and OPFOR guys, a trigger and some static objects.
  2. Can anyone take the US Army Pilot, reskin the vest to USMC MARPAT Desert and put a MICH Helmet on 'em?.... Or, take a Desert USMC and replace the bdu top and pants with a desert flight suit?

    Yes it's exactly what I mean. And, when I mean 'bolder' I mean to increase the IR intensity and increase the diameter.
  5. A Laser Designator with an IR Beam. Attached the PEQ IR Beam from the Mk16's and such to the Laser Designator. Make the beam bolder (brighter), and longer. Make it go about 1km.

  8. I still have the issue.. I have ArmA 2 and OA through Steam, through a Win 7 x64 machine. I stopped the ArmA 2 update to 1.07 because I manually installed it. Steam wants to redownload it, so I stopped it. OA was downloaded while the steam 1.07 repatch was paused. I installed and played OA fine. But, none of the ArmA 2 stuff is in OA. So I let ArmA 2 update through steam, and tried again. Didnt work. Now I uninstalled OA and am awaiting it to redownload from Steam. Hopefully it works. Can anyone confirm/deny what I may or may not be doing? Shame on BI for having such issues with Steam.
  9. In the endgame, it most likely will be. But as of right now, no.
  10. 15th MEU is developing the LPD-17 USS San Antonio, will have a flight deck, flight hanger, pri-fly room, infantry staging deck, cargo deck, stowage deck, and lastly a well deck. In the well deck there will be room for two stacked LCACs, and plenty of room for an entire Marine Expeditionary Force. Here are some early preliminary screenshots and... if anyone is interested in helping with textures please PM me.
  11. Currently the 15th MEU is working on the LPD-17 U.S.S. San Antonio. The model is done, all it needs are the remaining 2/3rds of the texturing. As the only texture artists working on it, as of right now the aft section of the ship is done. Midship and Bow are next. When it's all said and done, unless someone beats us to the punch, we'll begin working on the LCAC. Note, you will be able to fit 2 LCACs in the well deck of the LPD we're making, just like in real life. (Also if anyone is interested in helping texture it, please PM me!) Edit - will be posting in the WIP section

  15. First thing first, my intention is to create a custom pilot texture, not to change the standard BIS USMC pilot model. The only change to the texture is to the helmet (ie, making a custom helmet for a pilot). Secondly, I apologize if this is in the wrong section - if it is, please (mods) feel free to move this thread accordingly. Anyways, I used kegetys ArmA tools and it's cpbo extractor to find the USMC pilot helmet texture. I edited it accordingly, and saved the file. I just have no clue how to make that re textured pilot helmet back into a pbo and usable. Again, my ultimate goal here is to be able to add a custom pilot textured model to the mission editor to pull out whenever I so desire. So, again, after I have re textured the pilot helmet, how do I go about doing the above mentioned. Any help would be -greatly- appreciated as obviously I have very little re texturing/modelling experience.

    Help Retexturing

    Yes, I've created the pbo, however, I'm not exactly sure what goes in there. For my issue would the files be: us_pilot_helmet.rvmat us_pilot_helmet_smdi.paa us_pilot_helmet_nohq.paa us_pilot_helmet_co.paa I've created a PBO with those files in there. I'm stuck as to what to do next... P.S. - Also, what are each of those files? I opened and edited the _co file, assuming it was the actual texture, saved it as a .tga and opened it with TexView and saved it as a .paa again. (The "paa plugin" for Photoshop crashes when I attempt to save the file, thus not using photoshop to save anything as .paa). P.P.S. - I was told there should be some sort of config of such to edit or create. I have no idea on where or how to find the config's. If it's easier, can someone link me to a tutorial on how to re texture models in ArmA 2? Or for the sake of learning and time, is someone willing to help me do this? I made the texture and such. I just would need someone to make it work for me ingame, and tell me how they did it in lay-mens.
  17. Hello, first I'd like to thank yall for reading this post and to answer any initial questions, yes I used the search function under many parameters with no results for my problem. Thus, the problem being that whenever I get into the game, my controls that I map for my X52 joystick don't save! I'm running the current 1.02 version, with the German copy with the 1.02 German -> English patch on as a Mod (@English folder). Prior to me making that folder I've had the same problem. Whenever I get into the physical game I always have to remap the 15 or so controls, sometimes 30 when it doesnt save my Look keys for my POV HAT. It's ridiculously frustrating having to set all these up every time I load in. Oh, and also, randomly after I set all the keys, and my controller sensitivity for my Y axis, it resets all my sensitivites on the controller to Full, which is annoying, and dangerous when you're @ 500 knots, 15 feet above the tree line. :P Anyways, if anyone has any tips or questions or comments it'd help. I really need to resolve this issue so I can continue flying. Thanks again - any help is appreciated.

    Is there any possibility to make that "middle" layer that you mentioned Max, an option to be selected from the in-game Options menu? An option to enable/disable that setting to allow incremental throttles to work would make flying much more in depth for "Sim" Pilots, rather than "Gamer" pilots. Also, sorry for necroposting but this has been an issue of mine for a long time and I originally thought it was simply my joystick's issue.

Hi, I'm trying to patch my 1.05 Armed Assault to 1.08 on my Windows Server 2003 dedicated server tower and I get the following error when trying to run the exe: Windows cannot open this program because the license enforcement system has been tampered with or become corrupted I've tried downloading the patch over and over again, and even a downloaded version of the game which I purchased a while ago (that comes prepatched to 1.08) that I downloaded gave me the same error. Everything else that I download works correctly regardless of what it is - so the Hard Drive isn't bad. Could someone please help me with this situation, as it's quite annoying and perplexing.

  23. First off I'm sorry for bumping this thread. I know it old but I'm having the very same problem even still. As stated the above mentioned posts, I never found out what version of Windows Server 2003 it's running. But with that being said, I came up with a possible solution... Manual install. How could I manually take the files that the patch installs and manually overwrite/add them into my directory for said files. Does anyone have a list of files the update to 1.08 updates?
