Problem came out of no where. Every time I try to run on an MP server, ARMA will either crash when loading the mission or shortly after. I was crashing a lot with 1.38. With 1.39, I had no crashes at all and now, with 1.4, I'm crashing again. Make sure you take it to the feedback tracker. http://feedback.arma3.com/view_all_bug_page.php

I'm all for bringing more people to MP, especially PvP, so I'll reiterate what galzohar said and suggest King of the Hill (KotH). It's very 'lone wolf' friendly and really, the only thing you have to do is make sure you're on the cap. I play it by myself some nights when all my clan mates are 10 toes up. Filter server name: Hostile. You'll find a whack of servers.

I noticed that starting somewhere around 1.32, performance as well as stability degraded and for me, is now at an all-time low. As an MP, PvP player only I rarely play anymore because of this. The 1,800 hours or so that I've logged were, for the most part, a great experience as have all the previous titles I own but I'm tired of fighting with this game in its current iteration. Hopefully, Dwarden and Co. will one day find the performance gains they/we seek or at least return ARMA 3 to where it was before 1.32. -
I'll ask again. Do you plan to implement horses? Are you now able to post some SS or, even better, a vid? Been playing Napoleonic Wars lately so I'm really interested in your mod. Thanks.

The addition of MP has caught my attention, however, TOM at this point seems rather limited in scope. Are there any plans in the future for an MP combat element? For example, fighting over resources. How about end-game elements like surviving an alien attack or other fictitious scenarios? Thanks

I'm thinking it's a mem leak as well. It seems to happen about 2 hrs. into the same mission each time. I had task manager running and observed my 'free memory' degrade until it got to a point where ARMA would crash. Sometimes I get the 'out of mem' dialog box. Sometimes not. My page files is set to system managed, same way it has always been. -

I started getting these as well on occasion after the last patch. I've got about 1500 hours in ARMA on my rig and have never seen them before. Don't think it's on our end. I too am running 8GB of RAM. -
Multiplayer Triggers - General Question

Building an MP mission. I have 3 triggers that are almost identical. The first 2 work but the 3rd doesn't. They were all copy/pasted from each other with changes made only to ref. names. Anybody know why the 3rd might not be working? I'm sure there's no syntax errors. Thanks. -

Just went for a little Island Hopper tour of Wake. Very nice indeed. Well thought out with just the right amount of detail. Would like to see a little more underbrush and grass, but other wise, well done. Rex was a typo. I meant raptor, ;) I guess I was using the wrong class names (raptorM, raptorF1). I just tried raptor2 and everything seems to be working as it should. No need for WP's or to set side affiliations. Thanks. Couldn't find all the class names though. Are you able to show me where I can find them? I didn't see a readme with the DL. Thanks again, dood. -

Having some trouble with AI dino's within a mission I'm building. I set a trigger to spawn an AI raptor. But, after it spawns, it doesn't really move or do anything else. I then used - Independent setfriend [West, 0], and the rex will posture and attack, but in a stationary position. It simply won't chase and attack me (as a bluefor, NATO player unit). If I use a waypoint, like search and destroy, it will move around and attack randomly, but still doesn't chase or attack me, and eventually just fucks off. Any advice? -
Sounds great. Would love to play this on the upcoming Wake Island :) You didn't mention anything about squads. Will we be able to create custom squads, lock them, invite players, etc.? Similar to how TacBF does it. I could probably get about 5-6 guys from my clan to test this. If interested, PM me.

Ya, it is. The other thing I forgot to mention is that the endurance of the Rex while sprinting seems low to me. A suggestion I'd like to make is increase it. -

Tried it out in the editor. I noticed that while moving, I need to hit the attack button twice (once seems to kinda posture it) for either attack. Is this by design? Great mod. First time the Rexes took my by surprise, I jumped outta my chair. -
Try eliminating the custom memory allocators that cause a lot of people to crash. If it doesn't help, at least you've ruled that out. You can do so by: .delete the .dll files in the ARMA DLL folder .startup initialization -malloc=system Since BI introduced the these mallocs, I've never been able to run ARMA 3 for any length of time using anything but the win7 malloc.

Delete all the .dll files in the ARMA 3 DLL folder. Restart STEAM.
