  1. Good Day Gents.

    After reciving alot of pm and mails i want to make clear.

    As long as the models and textures stays in arma anyone can modify it and adjust it as long the keep refrence to the ppl in the first message of this thread.

    sadly i lost all the of my data on a computer crash sometime ago but i will try to find working mlods as i gave them to some mods.

    i wish i would have the time to make these birds better and make some new content.

  2. Removed them....same issue. Gonna do a one-by-one removal over the enxt few days. Altho it doesnt really matter, if it's incompatible with anything, it won't go into our modset. Sad. :(

    Would still be nice to find out where the problem is, so I'm gonna keep looking whenever I find time.

    Well, look at that...problem solved. With the ACE Package installed, the whole thing moves from USMC > OU Air to ACE US Navy > OU Air.....Duh. :P

    ther shouldnt be any problem with any other mod..

    it works fine on my pc with ace and acex.

    on what folder did you put it on the modset.

    i dont see an ou_air folder.

    i need to add the bikey also.

    on older version it worked?

  3. It looks good! What's up with the israeli colors?

    And these choppers need to armed! Another suggestion is that the co-pilot seat is not a cargo position, but manned by a pilot by default. Looking forward to this! The CH46's even more :D

    in both of the helos the copilot is a "pilot"(using a cargo pos) and not cargo pos.

    about the arming i wil change the guns on both of the helos.

  4. Are you saying you're going to add a Take On Helicopters style cockpit interaction? Now that would be amazing.

    you can see it on the vid the activation of the fuel and the engine is done by looking at right pos of the instrument and then you can interact with it.

    now if look elsewhere the option to interact with it will dissapper.

    The progress you've made looks good; just wanted to ask you about the Sea Knights. How are they coming along?

    after i am done with the stallions i will give the 46 an overhull also to match the 53 status.

    sorry for the abstinence, but was a bit busy.

    i am working on improving and fixing the bugs on the helos.

    right now i am working on the ch-53 and adding new features to it.

    i will add an MH-53J version of it right after i finnish with the cockpit.

    the pit is just a demo aint planing to go crazy and add every little switch.

  6. Hello people! i`m new at this forum, i`ve watching your post since this mod was leave out. ( Special Thanks to SFC.ITZHAK for this birds) and i wanted to share one simple idea for those who wants to land the choopers. (until SFC.ITZHAK make it fix). I will explain it step by step and the idea is one simple comand "flyinheight" so... here we go.

    1º first of all we need one of our birds, ch46 for example. (with init name chop1)

    2º fire team board on chooper.

    3ºwaypoint, wherever you want to land.

    4º the most importan part, we put in the waypoint chop1 flyinheight 0. Chooper will land at the ground.

    5º then we leave the ch46 (its recomended using by extraction all the team because if we order to leave the ch46 will rise when your people are getting out, and then die)

    6ºput anther waypoint with the init "chop1 flyinheigth 50" far from the LZ and sincronize this one with a radio trigger for example. The chooper wont fly until you order it by radio.

    Its too simple, i hope it helps you, meaby you will bring more ideas with scripts or something. Thanks for all and sorry for my bad english :-(

  7. You are definitly mistaken abour merkava2! all merkava2 use 4 generation armor,is called merkava 2D.Daled(in hebrew)=D=4! Regular merkava2 are almost not in use. IDF tanks corps are mostly based on merkava3baz and merkava4.

    the idf uses the mk2 שמג the d armor is modlur so it can be added and removed.

    the idf armor core uses mk2 /3 and 4.


  8. ok after a lonnng time not here will update..

    after a delay will release a new version this week with fixed stuff..

    -new sounds for both of them (thanks Chris)

    -hope fully weapons to both of the helos

    -new scripts for landing gear and ramp (thanks meatball)

    -added nose fuel gear

    -and will integrate the new skins of brainbug.

    -fixed the landing bug

    -added damage points

    just wanna say thanks to wld427 for his support and help.

    really want to finnish with the helos to move to new projects.

    after a small leave had the time to come back and add a small update.

    i fixed the majority of the bugs in the first release.

    #landing bug fixed

    #rotor bug ch-46 fixed

    #back packs bug fixed

    #co pilot head also fixed.

    if there anything more to be done let me know for a more stable updated release

    1.will fix that soon.

    2.thats a problem that i experienced with most of the helos..

    3.really don't know how this bug passed me...

    4.well the ramp is taking a little long so all the troops can get off the chopper.

    the dont jump out they run out as you see. but if its too long i can decrease the time .

    helo animate["ramp",0]

    5.will look into it.

    6.again will look into it.try to do the same for the other helos and tell me how they do.

    Small bug: When I get in the CH-53 the ramp lowers. If I get out with it still lowered, walk around the aircraft and up the ramp into the back, when I turn around the ramp just finished raising. Any way to make it stay the way you left it?

    possible if i trigger the ramp by height.

    Very good work! I really am enjoying your models.

    If I may make one suggestion and one observation.

    First, if possible, would/could you model the rotor blades to "sag" a bit when the engines are off? They looks to rigid at the moment. I know there are game engine limitations (having made mods for a very long time I am aware of most of them) but it would be cool to see the blades hanging lower.

    Second, your text on the rotor blades are great. You might wish to flip them so that the "rotor blade serial number" can be read from the bottom (perhaps as well as the top). Right now, the letters are backwards. This should be an easy fix.

    Again, I really enjoy having the 53 and 46 to fly around in. I am very impressed with your work.

    (Note: I am a Marine (1994-2000) so I am qualified to make a request :) I have been on each of these aircraft many times (and jumped out of them a few times as well.))

  11. I hopefully guess that the Cockpit is still WIP and we'll get a functional cockpit in the final. ;)

    Also please rework the flight behaviour of the CH-46, actually it feels more like a AH-6 than a transport vehicle. The flight behaviour of the CH-53 is pretty good, at least it feels correct.

    Let me ask, is the scale of the CH-46 accurate? Actually i thought i'm looking at a toy chopper when standing next to it. Don't get me wrong, can be i've just imagined that chopper being "bigger", then please ignore this.

    Keep it up mate. ArmA 2 needs those choppers badly.

    Don't forget to make it "100% no RPT entries". :D

    OT: SFC. Itzhak did you do that IDF CH53 for LoBo?

    nope i helped them make it a long long long time ago..

    and had to say that "no animal was hurt/sacrificed during the making of this helos"

    as i said before hopefully will release a beta next week.
