So I present the standalone release of AFSOC, I'm sure they will be future changes and equipment upgrades. Currently it comes in two flavors: 1.) Vanilla which requires no additional addons 2.) Task Force Arrowhead Radio edition requires CBA,TFAR and included USAF TFAR COMMS. I've included a pdf and txt readme with the details and a quick sample mission. Enjoy!! https://www.dropbox.com/s/rl5fdomgk8oea49/AFSOC.zip

Everything is good to go, let me pack it up and upload.. I'll post the link here when done.

Funny you mentioned that, I was discussing a intermediate release on AFSOC before the next release with Fuller. They are pretty much good to go except for our custom weapon pack provided by the talented EricJ, which won't be ready just yet. Let me double check, give me 10-15 min..
-
The Ole Thunder Chicken.. For you EricJ I'll put it at the top of my list ;) Thanks, a lot of work has been put into the next release and still a lot of work ahead of us. Unsure when the next release date is probably a PJFuller question along with the beta testers. Now you must excuse me VBS3 needs to be attended to.. wooohoo
-
Once the service menu is done I can see adding a lot of variations, just let me know what you want and I'll add it to the list. I can make the template available also.
-
My plan for the beta release will included all the extras (scratches, dust, dirt and oil drippings.) There are 22 aircraft that needs to be completely redone from scratch, for the Alpha release I'm focusing on just getting the base paint laid out and all the lines re-drawn. I could spend literally months on just one aircraft but that wouldn't benefit you guys.

Final fixes for AFSOC units are complete with new high resolution renders posted to the wiki, hope you enjoy. ~ Shockley

Wiki has been updated with new screenshots.

Anything not released is still in production, the C-17 still needs touchup such as additional markings. As far as liveries go yes I can do the Charleston one as well but it will have to wait until the service menu is done.

Just seen this mate, I suggest reading on how to setup a dedicated server. I have no idea what your setup is. http://www.kellys-heroes.eu/files/tutorials/dedicated/arma3dedicated.php or http://forums.bistudio.com/forumdisplay.php?167-ARMA-3-SERVERS-amp-ADMINISTRATION

Internal documents has it slotted for v0.4, it won't be ready for v0.3. I still have to get the new textures done. v0.3 includes the following: - CV-22 Osprey - MQ-9 Reaper - RQ-4 Global Hawk - AFSOC Units (CCT,PJ,JTAC,SOWT,CRO and STO) (M81 Woodland, DCU and Multicam) - Misc. Bug Fixes
-
It's been discussed, it was originally in the spotrep#27 but was removed and will be later implemented at some point. I'll talk to Fuller and see what can we do in the meantime. (http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?168197-UAVs-Feedback-and-wishes/page16)

Update: Finishing up the AFSOC units cfg's and some small visual tweaks/fixes, then back to work on the MQ-9 and CV-22 textures. I'll have Fuller put together some screens once I send all this to him for approval. So far the AFSOC pack contains: Multicam, M81 Woodland, and DCU units (will be expanded further) Units include: Combat Controllers (CCT), Combat Rescue Officer (CRO), Special Tactics Officer (STO), Pararescue (PJ), Special Operations Weather Technician (SOWT) and Tactical Air Control Party/Joint terminal attack controller (TACP/JTAC)

This is the first project I took on since starting ACE with Pheaden [uSMC] a few years ago, as it was stated previously there are a lot of aircraft in this mod that the community has wanted since the Operation Flashpoint days and we hope see a majority of them in A3 this time around. But they still need a lot of love, but progressing nicely. ~Shockley

is buldozer.exe suppose to be included in the package?

Agreed, coastline would be ideal.. OChristie wouldn't mind seeing your Aileu, Timor-Leste ported over sometime as well. Really enjoyed many hours in VBS2 on it. -

+5 Gnat :popcornsmilie: Most of us from the beginning have been asking for the same features for the past 6-7 years (able to walk and shoot on moveable vehicles, a actual finished 3d Editor, working bipods, fastroping.... etc..etc..) and nothing has ever been done, always leaving the community to make lemonade out of lemons or in this case watermelons. -

STALKERGB's British Infantry
Shockley replied to STALKERGB's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
VBS2 was built on the Armed Assault engine (RV2) then it was recently upgraded to somewhat A2 engine VBS2.0 . It feels, moves or looks nothing like A2 even after the upgrade. If history repeats itself as it often does VBS3 will be built off of RV3 (ARMA 2). I was commenting on how they used STALKERGB British Infantry as a screenshot on VBS3 Product PDF, as it has nothing to do with VBS3 and antoineflemming pointed out " give the false impression that this is what nations will get in VBS3.". The same as they used Chenarus on the VBS2 tech demos among many other things that are not in VBS2. But ANYWAYS .. back on Topic ... -
STALKERGB's British Infantry
Shockley replied to STALKERGB's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
That's what they do, I blew up in the VBS forums about falsely advertising VBS2 "tech demo" when they were clearly using ArmA2 footage and splicing in VBS2 footage such as 3D Editor/RTE .. (which we still don't have a functioning one 5 years later.. lol) But I better stop before the ban hammer comes.... StalkerGB great job mate, really love this addon when I see your name attached to a project I know its quality. -

I agree, Australians would be a good fit for this package!
