  1. You won't find 'deathmatch' in this game like you expect it from other typical online shooters. Trying to do so is futile. Remember that.

    I understand that people here try to help you to their best ability but "deathmatch" in this game will be clunky and not as dynamic as you want it to be.

    I couldn't possibly disagree more with you :) Not only deathmatches in arma2 can be extremely fast and not clunky, but they also can be well very customized :)


  2. I am looking for a clan/squad who would volunteer to test small to medium PvP maps I am currently working on. These are circling around 7 gametypes including double coop and simplier CTF/C&H mixtures. Should you be interested, please pm me via this forums.

The 3rd view in vehicles creates the same problem - you still can look over obstacles and most of all, there is no way anyone can sneak up on such vehicles (like it would be possible normally) and plant satchel charges for instance. Should the viewpilot models be created, just like they were in OFP, there would be probably no problem at all at navigating any kind of vehicle in the game using 1st person view only.

Since this falling simulation we have right now causes the unit to get frozen/stuck at every even small jumping attempt, I have started to think how can I work around this quite irritating feature (as i learned its not a bug - yeah, right...). For the time being this is what I came up with (sorry for poor image quality, big compression). While it's not as dynamic as it should be and used to be in OFP, it gets rid of these weird bugs plus plays a little bit more proper animation. Still this modification uses standard BIS animations and therefore cannot look too good but in my opinion it's much better now then it used to be.

We are pleased to inform you that we will accept the application from any ambitious soldier, who is willing to take part in clanwars. Initial game skills of new members are not important - if you lack game knowlegde or need some hints, we will provide you with special training session, which will surely help new people to improve their game results.

    We offer several types of trainings a few times in a week, ability to take part in ArmA leagues (such as OnlineWarfare, ArmA International eSport Contest, European Combat League, Gamez-Club) and playing on our gameserver.

    If you would like to join 25.DKP and taste the best of multiplayer, you must have:

    - own legal Armed Assault copy

    - working microphone

    - Teamspeak2 programme (downloadable for free)

    - fast connection speed (min. 256kbps)

    - 3 or 4 hours per week to spend on playing

    Would be also nice if you :

    - were older than 15

    - spoke english on at least basic level

    - had an experience from Operation Flashpoint.

    A bit of information about us - we have been playing Operation Flashpoint/Armed Assault since July 2003. After several ups and downs, dissolutions and reactivations we are back for good. We would like to share with new players the knowlegde and the experience we gained in those past years.

  6. Not sure if its only my issue but it seems to me that smoke doesn't really block the AI sight - they still shoot through it very accurately. Whenever I try to cover tank or apc with some smoke, it will always find me and kill me with two first shots from MG (no matter what distance is between me and tank, usually up to 200 metres), even though I am still moving. Got the last version installed.


  7. Setpos doesnt seem to work in Multiplayer for me. Whenever i try to put sandbags one on the top of another [typing in its initation : this setpos [(getpos this select 0), (getpos this select 1), 2], they work only on a local server (visible 2 metres above the surface). However people who join the server will see the same sandbags lying on the ground... Any work around?


  8. didn't make new topic because my problem is quite the same.

    I am running polish version of the game. Sometimes when i look down at some spots (randomly - wood, cities, smokes but also sky, plain ground, sand) [ESPECIALLY WHEN ZOOMING WITH RMB] i get the mouse lag. But its not only the mouse that gets lagged but also keyboard (! ). The reaction of the character is like 2-3 seconds (random! ) longer than it should be. I am getting like 40-70 fps (depends on the place on the map), sometimes it drops down to 20 in big cities like the capital, but it never drops below 20. However the mouse & keyboard lag still occur. Moreover - when the lag happens, i am not experiencing frame drop, its still normal (40-70). Because of that I am unsure if this is graphic issue. However I will just mention that my video card is Radeon x700.

    Tried to lower the details and lag seemed to occur more rarely (also when changing resolution) but it still was there (actually still is). Tried all your tricks in the thread but they did not work.

    Whole this stuff makes game unplayable.


  9. great job on the units, however some of the models require some additional work [don't remember where, but one of the models has transparent textures of the arm and shoulder in view pilot lod, irritaiting error because of duplicating "animate" command in initial script, some textures are missing]
