    Better animations?

Oh, I made someone feel ashamed for showing ArmA3 :( The animations as they are now are full of compromises to create a proper, reasonable and hopefully consistent experience for the user. As the guy who made SMK animations, I can only say that not all of my ideas made it through yet I feel positive about the outcome of things that did. With all the restrictions imposed (also due to features of general design like the consistent 1st and 3rd person animations = same file), I am pretty happy about the result of general movement. It has gone a really long way and will surely be worked on more in future, also on the movement speed part. And special Hi to GGX member from an extremely-short-time ex-member;)

Arma 3 Performance vs. Arma 2

Its possible to switch the viewdistance for seperate players by mission design. Feature has been used since OFP in PvP maps.
  3. Use onLoad parameter in dialog config to ctrlShow false unnecessary elements.
  4. Indeed, arm yourself with patience. If not for the release then soon afterwards :) The quality boost is out of charts:)

  7. Hell? dude... This is my latest Rocket "jump" animation drawn on a paper http://imageshack.us/scaled/landing/201/dsc0045se.jpg
  8. It wouldnt hurt to expect such functionality in newest instance though there is no assurance it will happen in the vanilla game.

    Nicknames and clan tags protection

Clan tag protection is already there - use a squad.xml which in connection with your ID and exact nickname will be more than enough of validation for a server administrator. Whats currently missing is the ability to verify squad.xml data in roles selection screen.
  11. Sorry guys, I hate to fail on promises but I have a lot of work now, trying to finish it asap.

    Cover Systems, Lean & Realism

like this? Then answer is no - at the moment there is too much problem with collision detection and lack of control (= clunkiness) that its a no-go. @weapon selection - well, yes, we would probably be able to but its not our department and hence i cannot do anything about the way things will develop (there other factors that need to be considered)

    Cover Systems, Lean & Realism

Not needed. Problem with animations above is that they are not ArmA friendly in terms of WYSITPIWYGIFPV (What you see in third person is what you get in first person view). Taking cover will probably not be part of vanilla but I have data and materials to make it should there be interest after the release.

    CQB??

I had my limbs removed for that session. My earlier remark concerned the falling & (lack of) ragdoll.

    CQB??

ragdoll - true. but what you are forgetting about is me ;)

    ArmAIII languages

It's a task for german publisher, not BIS. Everything is moddable so its not a big deal. You should bother the one who distributes the game in your country to make a proper localisation.

    Faction Limitation

    Yes you could do that in ArmA2 with little knowledge.;

    Development Blog & Reveals

Imho controls have nothing to do with arcade'iness. I wouldnt mind having weapons set on number keys. Anyway, because as u can tell everyone has their own control schemes a solution is being worked out so that it appeals to everyone. BTW some of these controls (space on lean right... wow!!) are so bizzare.... but ;)

    Development Blog & Reveals

Mousewheel is no rocket science and we have already considered it last year. But as with everything, there are pros and cons (you named a big one there) and all have to be taken into account.
