Help me please, internet problem

I'm using Firefox but that shouldn't make a difference Well if it is some kind of a security or cookie issue, then chances are that it could work with firefox for him.

I was a bit surprised to see the "Game Screenshot Thread, Combining Other Forum Ideas" Getting locked. One would think that such topic could be interesting and definitely on topic, especially as it deals with games in general.

    Music question

I recall having that in a Nero program. It gives you the option for removing the pauses (in order to save disc space)

    An IQ Test

Yes. He likes perfect square roots: 400 = 20 x 20, 100 = 10 x 10, 2500 = 50 x 50. The numbers that he dislikes do not. So the only one he should like out of those options is 900 = 30 x 30 ------ Anyway, I got like 126, which is probably more then I really should have. This test has a lot of questions that may be limited by language boundaries, and some other questionable questions (that may not belong in a real IQ test). It is a test with financial interests and should not be taken too seriously.

    World cup 2004

The 2004 World Cup of Hockey officially gets underway today when the Czech Republic faces Finland in Helsinki. The high- powered Czechs must find cracks in Finland's goaltending and defense - NHL.com So the first game is between Czech Republic and Finland. It's going to be a tough match for both teams. I'm obviously rooting for Finland, but I must admit that my expectations are a bit low this year. Nearly every team is full of starts. It's nearly "dream teams" playing against each other. Canada is a big favourite. The only two nation that i cant see winning the tournament is Germany and Slovakia. But then again, you never know. Here's the schedule for the upcoming matches: Mon, Aug 30 Hartwall Arena, Helsinki Czech Republic vs. Finland Result: 0 - 4 Tue, Aug 31 Globe Arena, Stockholm Germany vs. Sweden Result: 2 - 5 Tue, Aug 31 Bell Centre, Montreal United States vs. Canada 7:00 PM EDT ESPN2,CBC Wed, Sep 1 Globe Arena, Stockholm Czech Republic vs. Sweden 1:00 PM EDT ESPN,CBC Wed, Sep 1 Bell Centre, Montreal Canada vs. Slovakia 7:00 PM EDT ESPN2,CBC Thu, Sep 2 Cologne Arena, Cologne Finland vs. Germany 1:30 PM EDT ESPN2,CBC Thu, Sep 2 Xcel Energy Center, St. Paul Russia vs. United States 7:00 PM EDT ESPN2,CBC Fri, Sep 3 Sazka Arena, Prague Germany vs. Czech Republic 1:00 PM EDT ESPN,CBC Fri, Sep 3 Xcel Energy Center, St. Paul Slovakia vs. United States 7:00 PM EDT ESPN2,CBC Sat, Sep 4 Hartwall Arena, Helsinki Sweden vs. Finland 8:00 PM EDT CBC Sat, Sep 4 Air Canada Centre, Toronto Russia vs. Canada 7:00 PM EDT CBC Sun, Sep 5 Air Canada Centre, Toronto Slovakia vs. Russia 7:00 PM EDT CBC www.wch2004.com - The official website So, what are your thoughts and bets for this tournament?

Which browser do you use? Look at the Africa/Middle East map, the pin's there since yesterday... Aha.. i got it.. I see these white boxes with Internet explorer 6. When i tried the page in Mozilla things looked a lot better.

Done! Um, why is Gandalf's pin in the North Sea? Â My personal opinion is that the pins would look alot better without the white box. But anyway, good job Blaster!

This is a nice idea Albert. Here's an example of what it could look like. The right part of the pin was a little cut out, but that can be fixed.

    Australian Federal Election 2004

Hi, I’m sorry if this is totally off topic. But I'm supposed to write a paper about Australia in English. The topic should be about something that I find interesting in Australia. Since my knowledge is limited to armadillos and kangaroos I figured out that I might ask it here. So do you have any strange/interesting things over there?

    World cup 2004

Yeah it was a good game. I was not able to see the full game, but from what I saw things looked good for Sweden. I was a little surprised that Germany preformed better then the Czech team did yesterday.

    Athens Olympics 2004

See that as my bizarre humour, trying to lighten up a peculiar debate about the Olympics. So no need for name calling other forum members. Please tell my why I would be disappointed of not rooting on, say Belgium. And I might change my mind. – This is called a constructive and open-minded way of discussing. (This “phenomenon†is unfortunately rather rare here ) “nationalistic flag-waving morons are going to be converted to flag-waving morons on a European level.†Bear in mind that we are discussing sports. Not politics. I have a feeling that most Swedes will continue rooting for Sweden in the Olympics, and continue “not giving a rat’s ass about the EU medal count†You on the other hand are perfectly entitled to root for EU, Zimbabwe or whatever you want. There’s a lot to be said about the popularity of EU and the Euro. But that would probably be better suited in another topic. Period.

    Athens Olympics 2004

    1) Ever seen a typo before? (I was counting the EU member countires, came up to 25 and wrote 52) I'm no geographical expert, but I do no that it is 50 states. Thanks for pointing it out though. 2) My passport doesn't say any of that. 3) That does not make me feel more for those 24 other countries. If a Britt wins I'm happy for him because I like Britt’s, not because we have common laws. I assume that you understand this and what I wrote in my previous post, but you seem to disregard it and slip away into technicalities. ;o) Lets conclude this with following: Prodi's comment was a joke - fact Prodi has this "inferiority complex" - fact Prodi is a slut - fact Now, let me get back to Rooting for the Germans Edit: Rephrased stuff

    Athens Olympics 2004

Well I consider the 50 combined states as a country. I do not consider the 25 European countries as one country. We (EU) have nothing that ties us together. We speak different languages, we have different currencies, we have different (or should I say no) religion. The cultures are very different; Shy Swedes, naughty Germans, snobbish Britt’s and emotional Spaniards. (Ok, ok, I may have gone too far) Let’s face it. I don't watch the world cups in ice hockey because I have this enormous fetish for seeing a piece of rubber going inside a goal. No, I watch it because it gives me an opportunity to root for my county. I can accociate with my Finnish friends, and tease my Swedish ones. That is fundamentally what sports are about (for the viewer). Not stashing all counties into one Über county and just see people jumping up a certain height, just for the heck of it. Edit: Speaking of hockey: Sweden vs. Germany is on now Â

    Athens Olympics 2004

EU is not a country. Counting how many combined medals it got is ridiculous, which explains that it was a joke. There’s no reason to get depressed for not winning shitloads of medals in crap sports (excuse the choice of words ;-) Finland only got two measly silver medals. But should I care when Räikkönen is winning the races, and the ice hockey team whopping some Czech ass with 4-0? The answer is obviously no. Oh and Ran, yeah she's alright. Reminds me of a girl that was the host of a TV show called "Silicone" (just a random anecdote..) Btw here's her fan site

    new to this...

    1. Is there still a strong MP community? Yes not extremely big though, but you'll always find games that are waiting for players. 2. Are there still any servers up? Sure, hundreds of them. 3. How can I get the list of servers? Resistance has a built-in server browser. 4. Is it only 8 players max, 4 a side? No limit. I've been to a game with +100 ppl but around 30 people would be the limit performance wise.

What a load of crap. Just shows how big Prodi's (and EU's) inferiority complex is.
