    Gta san andreas

Think of it as the way all these GTA-type games should have been. Mix some Deus Ex-kind of RPG into it. Move it down to South America, put Arnold Vosloo's face and voice to the player character (bad guy in 24 season 4). Stick with first person view (3rd view is optional while in cars, boats, planes, helos). Add 5 (6) factions. Take job from these factions while balancing your relationship with them. Enemies only shoot at you while allies and neutrals give you assignments to earn money and all the jobs are against other factions. Some pay and reward you better than others. Improve all your skills but don't forget to eat and sleep before going on a mission if you want to be all you can be. Pick up weapons, ammo etc and trade them at arms-dealers. A great game that does'nt run on tracks like all the others. Full freedom over the whole landscape the moment you start the game. Take pills, stay on your toes longer but become an addict Ă‚ Have some Tequila and become an alchohol addict Don't know why but I think it reminds me of OFP somewhat on how it plays. Not quite sure why. Highly recomended. Ă‚ Sounds like the kind of game i could enjoy! There seems to be no demo out for it. But this is definitely something that deserves closer inspection once my computer is back from the repair service.

The recent decision of adding more smilies has provoked fractions of the forum users and greatly amused others. One smiley that is really missing is a real good old shy smiley. Not just a blushing one, but one that is smiling and slightly blushing at the same time, looking like a tricky little trickster, up to no good. A smiley you would't want to meet in a dark alley by yourself. I hope you get what I'm trying to say.

Hehe not even most spamfest forums have this many smilies. Interesting development...

Hi. It was never intended to be one of those *buhuu, I'm leaving* posts. I was just a little upset because of the smoke topic. Oh well. My interest for ofp seems to go up and down, and I do think that it's the same for most people. Lets hope that AA will boost the community and bring back many of the good old ofp gamers.

Personally I think that things have gone too far and become too strict when you aren’t allowed to debate current issues such as a smoke ban. It certainly does touch the issue of how much control the government should have over our habits. And raises all kinds of interesting and relevant questions about smoking and such. I’m a big fan of the flashpoint games, and that’s essentially why we are here. But since I don’t play the game right now, I see no point in discussing it. Nor do I have any interest in debating witch tank is the best, or what cammo is the sexiest, but that’s probably just me. I have always found this forum to be very enjoyable, it has pretty much been my one and only way of communicating online in English. It has formed some of my opinions, it has improved my common knowledge and my english language and it has brought a lot of amusing humour throughout the years. I haven’t been very active here lately, for the reasons mentioned above. Now, could anybody recommend a good English-speaking forum where discussions about various topics can be held at a fairly mature level, and where offtopic actually means offtopic?

    Public Smoking Ban

The main argument that some of the legislators use is that this law is to primarily protect the employees in these restaurants. This makes it somewhat easier to justify the part about governments interfering in others business. I mean if this was optional, a waiter expressing a wish to work in a non-smoking area might find himself in a worse position then his colleague that accepts the terms for working in a smokey area, and hence endangering his own health for the sake of the job. Personally I don’t smoke. I’m not too bothered when others do it though. What I do hate is when my clothes pickup the smell, that kind of bugs me, but other than that I’m fine. I have nothing against this ban, and I do think that there are ways to cover the smell of sweat, if nothing else, people might start showering before they show up at the pub, wich is a good thing.

    Swat 4

LOS ANGELES, CA (April 28, 2004) – Vivendi Universal Games sets its sites on the latest edition of the popular SWAT franchise with the announcement of SWAT 4. Developed by Irrational Games, SWAT 4 allows players to take control of a squad of up to five police officers tasked with performing dangerous operations such as high-risk arrests, hostage rescue and counter-terrorism. As the unit’s commander, players must follow authentic police tactics as they breach and clear a concrete jungle filled with armed felons and innocent bystanders alike. SWAT 4 is expected to ship in Q1 of 2005 and has not yet been rated by the ESRB. "We are working collaboratively with Irrational Games on SWAT 4 to develop one of the best games in its genre," says Michael Pole, EVP, Worldwide Studios, Vivendi Universal Games. "SWAT 4 delivers a tactical first-person squad-based shooter experience that is a worthy successor to this hit franchise.†Featuring graphics courtesy of the Vengeance engine powered by Unreal, SWAT 4 delivers 16 authentic environments set in stunningly rendered locations representing a wide variety of operational environments. Realistic ballistics and Havoc defined object physics will further heighten the experience for the player by providing an added layer of atmospheric authenticity. As S.W.A.T. officer, players will have access to authentic assault gear including tactical mainstays such as the Colt M-4 carbine, the Benelli M4 Super 90 shotgun and Surefire tactical lights. However, as with their real-world counterparts officers in SWAT 4 have to hit hard-and-fast in order to take down the bad guys and keep the innocent out of harms way. SWAT 4 will also ship with three competitive multiplayer modes as well as a cooperative campaign mode.

The best site in the USA on OFP

I'm not sure, but does it really matter if the website is physically located in USA, as long as it's content is in english? (I know that it matters to a certain extent when it comes to larger downloads etc, but I ment generally as a website with fresh news and various other things) My guess is that ofp.info is the largest website in terms of visitors.

    "Sorry for my bad english!"

People here say that Finnish is a hard language to learn. I've spoken to immigrants who’ve come to Finland and been there for a couple of months, and then moved to Sweden. Their experience has been that Finnish was much easier to learn, mainly because you usually pronounce the word the way it is written, on the contrary to Swedish witch apparently made less sense to them.

    need help w/ networking

Windows file sharing is based on security settings. If you don't want to setup a bunch of crap just to share a few files, simply turn on file sharing by right clicking on a folder.. and follow these instructions (assumes Simple Sharing is enabled): Make sure your workgroup is the same (right-Click My Computer....Properties-->Computer Name tab) if not, use the Network ID wizard. Then open "My Network Places" --> View Workgroup Computers (on sidebar). or access the files using Internet Explorer or File Explorer window and type " \\192.168.0.1\folderName " where the IP address is the address of your friends machine. Note: You can hide a share by adding a '$' to the end of the share name. For reference: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;304040 Thanks

    need help w/ networking

Hi all, I also have a network related question. Like a week ago I went over to my friend’s house and I brought a computer and a netgear router with me. I connected both computers plus the broadband to the router and it worked. I never got the shearing thing between the computers to work, so the only way of sending files was over msn. Even though it went faster then 'regular' internet, it never reached an acceptable LAN speed. So what is the easiest way to transfer larger files between two computers that are connected through a router?

I tried this game a couple of days ago. And considering the low expectations I had, I was positively surprised. I primarily played the multiplayer part, and it was nice.

    MP3

I believe that he is referring to the new law in Sweden (June 2005) that will make downloading copyrighted music illegal, in the same way that movies and software are today.
