Amazing!  Glad to see some confidence from you Steve, I always said you made some of the best textures around... now I say you probably did the best (imo) This weapons are a damm good job alright, perssonaly I've spent something like 600/700 hours on them, so be sure they are a great job, but yes they ain't perfect yet, we still have some space to improove, not much I'm afraid since It's getting very close now, but... while this space lasts so will the Versions. Excuse me for my lack of modesty but imo this are the best Aks/Val/Vss/Pecheneg this game as ever saw and I have a feeling it will continue for a long long time (or until Neph releases her very promessing AK-74M). In total at this moment we have 46 weapons  The number will probably increase to 50 until the day of the release. We covered everything from Light Mgs, Mgs, Riffles, Hand-Guns, RPGs, Sub Machine Guns... . We were also extremely careful trying to make all this weapons seem different between them, all values have been carefully planned, from individual recoils to dexterity, dispersion, you name it. Soon you guys will understand what I mean. It's not just like choosing an AK-103 or an AK-74M instead, in fact this weapons have different advantages and disavantages, specially now that we use NoWonderDog's values and sights, you will even find different sights for each PSO-1/Caliber. I'm very happy with this weapons, in fact I say it's a damm great team work, I tried to involve as many people as possible because I believe 2 heads think and work better than just one, so to Bionic, Kenji, FW200, RobertHammer, tpM, Twisted, Vilas, TwhinkMaster, NSX, Tiger, NoWonderDog, Big Dawg KS and to all you guys that are reading this now, yes that means you! Thank you my good friends, you all ROCK !!!!  ... and yes we need some vacations, I say once Vr2 is out we have done our part to help ARMA grow and specially to balance things a lot to the East side Â

One thing that could help, would be to use the less ammount of textures possible, sometimes compromising the diversity of the vegetation, less textures less loading and less memory used... It could work but ARMA won't look as nice as it does today  In theory it's better to use 1 2048x2048 texture than 3 64x64 so... . If you can merge some textures and than make some good normal maps for it... it might work for people will worse graphic cards, but this needs testing since I'm guessing here. In my addons I can say for sure that it works, loading times are faster and fps is better. -

Sure that is,but your trees and vegetation will all look squared. Alpha channels in this case are used to give invisivility/transperency to certan parts of the vegetation so you can actually see for example a leaf instead of a square (entire texture). If you take the alpha channels out you won't be able to ""draw "" details, everything wil look squared. I think this is what you asked, not sure  -

Here's a small update: Realistic Ballistics and Sights by NonWonderDog have been added to all Weapons/Magazines (with permission of course). Bionic sent me the new Pecheneg and the replacing is finneshed, I'll show you NO pictures of this one, it's a surprise for you. @NSX, please avoid posting pictures of the new Pecheneg, some people asked us to keep some weapons has surprises so this one and the ones Kenji is finishing will stay out of sight until the day of the release, ty

Yes that's very easy to do, in fact we have all the parts that weapon uses, we just need the magazine which is easy to make. I'll do that weapon now but it will be released on Vr3 only, hopefully with the MVD, no need for more weapons on Vr2 ty for the pics Andrei

Small Update: We're testing things now, personally I'm checking the weapons one by one (43 so far but will be 46 total), we're going to have a new Pecheneg model made by Bionic and 1 or 2 more RPGs made by Kenji. I'm also testing 1 of the 2 surprises we will be giving to you guys. Shadow NX did it again and he impressed us a lot more this time, we thought Vr1 soldiers were the best he could do... well, when we saw his Cold War Marines and GRU we went like ... oh my god As soon as Cameron makes his normal maps you'll understand what I mean. From Vr1, we changed the soldiers a small bit according to the feedback, so if you liked them before you will like them more now. The Vr1 weapons have all been modified, I think the easiest way to describe the modifications is to tell you what wasn't changed... well the wood parts have been only remodeled we kept the textures and most iron sights have been kept intact, I think all the rest has been changed. From coding, to normal maps... new receivers for all the weapons... I think when you guys try them you will understand how different they are now (for better I hope) we reached a point where the decisions are now are a lot more based on taste than really on fixing or improving. I'm very happy with this weapons and soldiers and I'm sure most of you will like them (not all I hope, the ones that don't like are the ones that makes us change for better, or at least to talk between each others to reach an agreement). Not bad, but I'm sure like me, Robert prefers to play with the ones from the pictures below, with a small modeling job (like changing the side of the top one and removing the ACOG or the rail) and it's spot on Than, because he's a nice person he shares it with the community, how bad can this be? My Racs weapons are all imported and most people loved them Check Jackal's work for example, perfect models a great work. Knowing that he takes no credits for it and he asks you no money from his work do we now judge a man because he shares something he uses with others ? Real or not real it's his taste and what he likes, it's his freedom to choose between reality, fiction or whatever... he shares it with you, how bad can this be? How can you even complain I wonder?

Actually the APS Silenced is called APB or APSB, B - stands for Beshumniy or Silenced (English) in game I'll call it APB All bipods are up now, since we can't make them work it doesn't make much sense having them always down, the same does not apply to the the Heavy Machine Guns. We'll get there, give us time, this is not a factory, yet 43 Weapons in the pack, the ones repeated from Vr1 are like 60% different now, so you can imagine the amount of hours we spent on this No worries, we'll do them all sooner or later

Thanks to BigDawgKS who made us an amazing script, your answer is... YES! The soldier carrying the RPG22 once firing the weapon will automatically place the RPG on the ground and even if you try to use it again it won't work no more Great job BigDawgKS ... Now I'm going to try and animate this RPG to make itfold/unfold, lket's see how this works out in the end
