    Y2K3 - Updated Ofp Config.

    Hey guys, great work !!! My game, however, keeps crashing with no message as to why during CTI games (1.16 to be exact). How do i uninstall/disable Y2K3? Thanks in advance, Slavka.

    Ehmmmm............any ETA on Linux version of the latest ded. server? We played the 1.85 yesterday and it was choppy as all hell. Please reply.

    What would you like to see in ofp2

    Clipping, clipping and oh yeah, did i mention clipping? To me clipping is one of the biggest problems with OFP. How many times have you been sniping from a window and all of a sudden ended up on the other side of it? I can live with choppers that turn upside down from time to time for no apparent reason, jeeps bouncing 50 feet in the air, some minor lag issues, but the damn clipping is just ruining so many good missions. Also, stealthy missions, where you would require silenced weapons or even a knife. A knife would be nice. Also i think built-in RTS capability. RTS missions are great but they require such heavy scripting that sometimes is quite buggy. Just my 2 cents.

    Xp and 1.55

    Strange, i'm on XP myself and have no problems. Installed the patch, went in, created a server, played a game. I was by myself tho, didn't have any visitors. But it was no problem. And i also have a router here. WinXP Pro, GF3

    This truly is a great day for OFP and the community. With the release of these tools from OFPInternals i wonder what BIS will do ? By the time they release their's (if ever) they might be too late ;-)

    No more respawn killing in mp

    Dude, no guideline will help stop respawn killing. Its a responsibility of every player. How do you expect NOT to have that when you have a server admin not only allowing this but actually doing it himself. I've never played on any server but Radishville (this is NOT a pitch). Yesterday, however, i visited FragHaus for the first time. OH MY G*D !!! Now i know why there were all these threads about how much gameplay suxx there. They have these little kids as admins (not voted, but actual admins) running the show. You wanna see some base raping and respawn killing - go there. Anyhow, this problem will stay with the community until such time when people playing are mature enough to understand all the lameness of what they are doing.

    I can not get connected

    You need to configure your router to open certain ports. The reason you're seeing the games is because router lets everything OUT but nothing IN. Read this : Avon's FAQ This should do it for you.

    New idea for MP

    As far as how workable this is: In a perfect scenario, where both servers are on say a T3 and higher so the latency between them is negligible, this is fairly easy to do. I'm talking at a very high level of course. The data that servers would pass around is essentially the same data they pass to their clients - US. So clients on the other side don't ever have to know whether it came from their server or from the other side. Now, provided that all clients are on CABLE/DSL with pings below 100ms this could really work.

    New idea for MP

    Ok, i'm not entirely sure if this is an original idea but i just wanna throw it at You guys (OFP community) to think about. Would it be cool if two Dedicated OFP servers could communicate between each other? I'm thinking this could bring a whole new level for MP. Sure there are bunch of downsides to this (Netcode being one). But for purely broadband servers that could be a total blast. Imagine playing server-vs.-server in co-op This idea is totally open to criticism. I just want to see community's response to this. Also i'd like to see BISs response. So far they've done a very good job of responding to the community. Anyways, lets see where this gets us.

    Problem with houses

    Is anyone else annoyed with the problem where you go into a house and you go to a second floor and all of a sudden you fall out on the street again? This is really annoying bug that has been around for quite a while.
