How far is a grid box on OFP\'s in-game maps?

</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">The answer is simple. Each major grid consists of 10 minor grids, from A to J. Each minor grid is 125 meters. So each major grid is 1.25 kilometers. <span id='postcolor'> You are almost there. Map size is 12.8 km (256x50 m). Grid size is therefore 1.28 km (large grid) or 128 m (fine grid).

BIS, a tech question about user addons

</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">Ondrej, I've reported problems with Hellfires missing from Apaches and empty M113 HUDs in clean OFP 1.30 upgrades with no unofficial addons present. <span id='postcolor'> This is completely unrelated. Missing hellfires are related to A10 LGB drawing. Empty M113 seems to be there since 1.00 (I am not sure on this, though).

BIS, a tech question about user addons

Yes. I am reading. I tryied to check this, but unfortunatelly on my computer even Gunslingers addon runs ok. I suggest trying to remove units one by one from the addon on some computer that exibits the problem to see which class is causing problems. Once we have some minimal addon, we will be able to investigate it. Gunslingers addon is too large and complicated and it is therefore quite hard to guess what is the problem. Some smaller test case exibiting same problem is needed.

    Software Development Kit News

There are no news about SDK. We are still to busy with patches and general documentation to be able to think about releasing modelling and other tools soon. We cannot not release any "model import/export plugin", as we do not have any.

It looks like docs are not included in the package (although it is written in the readme file they are). You can download them on several websites, e.g. Coldwar.

    I\'m sorry..I know it\'s been said before...

It depends on network connection between you and the server. If you see higher pings with OFP than with other games, it is most probably because servers are not positioned as close to you as for other games.

    Squad.xml

Server needs to be able to download xml file from Squad URL - and for this it needs working internet connection via HTTP protocol.

    Bannlist?!

</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">Quote: from BigQEd on 11:46 am on Nov. 27, 2001 I would like to know how bans can be done from Admin commands if possible... I had heard #ban <id> but that does not seem to work. Also if you manually add a Ban to the ban.txt is there anyway to make it active immediately without a server restart?<span id='postcolor'> #ban command works only on non-dedicated server (it saved info into user profile ban list). As for banning without restarting server, this is currently not possible, but we will add in hopefully in next patch.

    Dedicated: MaxMsgSend Settings ?

Update: There is a bug in strintable.csv that prevents the text from showing correctly. This bug has been introduced during translation to non-english languagues. Fix will be available in next patch. If you want, you can fix it manually by editing stringtable.csv file on the client. Be sure to backup original file, as you will need it back when you will install next patch, otherwise it will not recognize it as correct version. Search for "STR_SERVER_MONITOR" line. In this line you will see several comma delimited entries. There are double quotes missing around engtries, which causes parser confusion. Instead of STR_SERVER_MONITOR,Server load: FPS %.0f, memory used: %.0f MB, out: %.0f Kbps, in: %.0f Kbps, The line should read STR_SERVER_MONITOR,"Server load: FPS %.0f, memory used: %.0f MB, out: %.0f Kbps, in: %.0f Kbps", (and similiary for other languagues).

It did not disappear after firing, it did not disappaear when you had no more missiles. We did not have time to implement it properly as we intended, therefore we removed it.

If only exe files are invalid, chance is you might be affected by some virus infecting exe files. Could you try scanning your computer for viruses with up-to-data virus database?

    Dedicated: MaxMsgSend Settings ?

We did not test such configuration yet. My guess is you could try: MaxMsgSend = 256 MinBandwidth = 512000 Best way is to try and see what works best. When talking about 2Mb line, be sure you really have mb upstream (upload), not only downstream. You can use #monitor admin command to see what bandwidth your server really uses both up- and downstream.
