I mean you can get by when you pickup weapons from the enemies... but then it aint much of Ranger campaign if everyone is carrying AK-74 I'll do adjustments that the player gets fresh loads of ammunition in every mission, but the squad replacements arrive only at the fourth mission. I'll also add the gear selection in the briefing. Good note RED. I wont make update today since ... well it was just released today, so lets wait at least until tomorrow and I'll gather up all urgent fixes there. btw man am I shamed for the "deleted" hint on the first mission, yikes how could I left it there.

Missions from 61 and above are created mostly on v1.75 and then v1.85. That means the AI was changed quite dramatically on v1.85 if I recall which makes old missions to perform differently or plainly not working at all (the one I mentioned). PMC Fury is not a rambo campaign, it was never designed to be that way. Yes in few missions from the start you get your own squad to lead. I will tweak the 1-60 missions that are RAMBO and try to remake somehow the one mission that just dont work, however I'll do that after the "new" missions are beta tested. So for now, if you get quake mission or the mission just dont work - use the endmission cheat until I get to fix things. PMC Fury full campaign will eventually be tweaked for v1.90 (or what is the current OFP version at that time), trust me

    Okay here is my experiences in the ALoneWolf larger islands. My testing computer is AMD Tbird 1200mhz @ 1333mhz, 512m ram, gforce 2 gts 32mb, sb live! value, XP with DX8.1 and latest sb drivers. The WRPdouble 25.6km x 25.6km island seems to work without any problems. The mission editor works OK, the ingame 3d world works OK and mission map (M key) works OK. I created big test mission with about 90 East tanks vs 2 West Apache gunships... all went smoothly, it was real pleasure to hunt those tanks in that big desert. The WRPquad 51.2km x 51.2km island is a problematic. The basic .WRP file is 2mb of size and that without any objects except few trees, basic desert texture only. When you load up OFP v1.90 with the wrp it takes about 5 seconds longer than on normal islands. First 51.2km problem comes in mission editor, the contour map is taking so much system resources that when you use the mouse to move the map it lags heavily. You cannot even double click to insert units/vehicles successfully. This is not very good sign if you cannot even make missions. The contour map itself displays much larger than original maps, our master ALoneWolf has added those digits to show the coordinate ranges which is nice. Ok so luckily there was mission included in the WRPquad where alone AH-1 Cobra was flying at top right corner of the map. When you finally manage to get your mouse pointer into the Preview and click it, the 3d ingame world works just nicely! There was no lag that I could detect except some tiny "jerkyness" when you move. I'm not sure if I was only imagening this but it looked like that the weapon/unit/helo would shake just a bit (almost cannot even see it). OK so I'm flying now... no lag, no problems. Cobra flys just nicely in the terrain, shoots missiles, rockets and cannon without any problems. No lag, did I mention that. However when I press M key to bring up the contour map up, the lag is unleashed and my system goes to its knees. Mouse pointer lags heavily, but its possible to assign orders for your team. The M key press brings up the map view in about 1-2 seconds, bit longer time than the normal wrps. Conclusion by me: 51.2km x 51.2km island is possible by the game engine but the contour map (M key + Mission editor) kills the fun with the lag. 3D world itself runs just OK. 25.6km x 25.6km island is awesome, no lag, nothing wrong to be noticed. Very very large island. Very nice Air to Ground engagements possible, deep search and rescue missions, Oh my!     I have the "wrp file format" what was posted on the internals page time ago. Also I'm interested of understanding the wrp file format but I suck at C coding and the guys I've talked with said that the format I supplied does not really match for the (intro.wrp original desert island) wrp file. My goal is to make automatic texturing/road placing etc utility for OFP islands. We have lot of experience in that area from Falcon 4.0 theater building where we used to do months and months of manual work, until there was this automatic texturing and road/river placement utility which does the job in few seconds. Thats what I want to do for OFP islands.     Hehe okay okay, I made it too confusing, I apologize Official PMC Fury web site has been now updated to include only the new beta missions. No more confusion as there is just single download. When we are done the beta testing with your help (please help heh) the final version of the campaign will be released which optimization is aimed for 1500 meter viewdistance with the latest (1.90/1.91) OFP version.

    Adammo aka Capt Moore, great work! I noticed that when looking the uh1v1 Huey at outside view the rotor blades make the windshield and the back seats "flicker" (dunno whats the correct word), I think also the back door windows where flickering. This is not the rotor blades making the effect as rest of the chopper and pilot/gunner did not flicker, only the windows/backseats. The uh1v1med did not have the windshield flickering and of course it don't have backseats. Also dont get me wrong, but its kind of weird you to name the release zips as YourName1.zip -> YourName4.zip etc. How about YourName-UH1C1v1.zip and YourName-C130v13.zip etc, it would give pretty good idea of the people what to expect. The "myaddon1.zip" is kind of goofy But in a nutshell: Great work dude, nice addon! Snake Man, PMC.
  20. I have just finished the Resistance Campaign, it is very very good. Cutscenes are excellent and the hollywood moviealike feeling is just awesome, I was almost tearing up in the end heh. Missions are very good also and thats the important part. Excellent work BIS. You have truly created something unique with Operation Flashpoint. Thank You.
