    Well I can but my bugs exhaust is bit broken at the moment, I'll have to scan some of my friends original VW's which sound right. I dont think OFP's first VW Bug sound should be 2100cc tuned up with Stinger exhaust that sound like a monster ;)

    Visitor export island brings out 4WVR format wrp file. I believe WRPEdit reads OPRW v2, with binarize v1.0 you can make OPRW v3 format wrp out of the 4WVR which is same as Nogova.

    You have to write the path+p3d name into objects.ini and you can then use it, or you load island that already has this p3d placed, its picked up automatically from there. If you want to see the above 3d-view p3d models, you need to also un-pbo the p3d into the configured objects dir.

    WrpTool Beta Testing has started. Official WrpTool Forum. This is private testing, no public betas will be released. We are looking for those "hardcore" terrain creator WRP loving people in the OFP community to help us test WrpTool and to bring in more ideas of how to improve it. Send us information of your hardware, windows version (OFP needs to be v1.91), what kind of terrain are you working on including textures and p3d objects. Finally list as many nice features as you can think of which you would like to see in OFP terrain creation tool, let your imagination fly. In our wrptool project page you'll find all the latest information and email address where to send applications.

    Just to let people know before they download 17mb, this release contains the old Meekong island and the new tiny Wake island. Textures and objects are duplicated in from pbo's from SEB (sebnam_obj) and the old "Alpha" NAM islands ilolilo.pbo / meekong. They are not just using the textures or objects, they included the actual files inside the release in duplicate pbo's. So if you have Official SEB NAM Pack 2 installed, you download the sebnam_obj.pbo again at least. I also noticed there was 1mb TGA file inside the ilolilo.pbo and another smaller one on the meekong.pbo file. Pretty much same scenario as with the "Alpha" NAM islands... I would hate to be 56k modem user downloading this and then to find out what it is.

    There is no problem in 51km sizes if the terrain isn't rough enough which causes the CPU slowdown when map contour lines are calculated. It was 25km and 51km islands. 100km island would be 2048x2048 cells. With 256mb ram on your machine you can run 25km full island with not much water and have something 390,000 objects. Haven't tested the memory requirements for 51km islands but I recall 256mb ram machine can run these too if the object amounts is smaller.

    Fixed. Oops now I get it. Ok will fix that in the, oh gosh, next update. Added. Actually I added typo on the radio message, but again... will be fixed on next update. True, I was planning (still are?) to add the upcoming BAS MH-60L Blackhawk into the missions too, so in the future hopefully the insertions have some variation. First of all littlebirds holds 4 guys, in this campaign the squad size is 9 men. So... I know we can split up the groups to the helos easily, I have never even considered having multi-helicopter group insertion. Does anyone know if this works at all? Second, the bikes... yikes, I do like the bike for occational fun ride along the countryside, but I have no intention of using it in any serious combat missions. Sorry. Can you give me more details how Recon and Support missions would be play out, like what are the objectives etc. Any ideas are welcome, who knows I might even add a special bonus mission(s) to the campaign. --- New update v1.0b rev 7 is now available at our web page, here is the changelog Jun 16th, 2003. v1.0b rev 7 - players units might get killed in outtro cutscene, fixed. - helo lands at airbase shutting down its engine and waits for extract call. - ranger snatch, if colonel is dead there will be radio + briefing update. - debug message removed from Ammos. haha... so sad - artillery too darn deadly, first tweak made, more later if needed. - ranger data, added extract radio reply. added enemies Muhaha!, added gunships. - ranger pow, bait and butcher AI backups fixed.

    Any suggestions of a good tweak... Apache CAS? less enemies? A-10 airstrike? Good point. Will be fixed on next version. No. Or maybe they were Mrs? Ok I'll have a chat with them the next time I see them. (meaning edit fix of some sort). Hey thanks Placebo, but in fact I do like how this topic proceeds. I much rather have the feedback on my campaign(s) on blunt truth than sweet lies. Many fixes are done to the campaign from the comments on this topic and I'll bet many more will be made. So keep it going guys, after all we all know this campaign sucks basically, I just wanted to make some sort of tribute to nice BAS units There will be some artillery fixes in the next version. In fact I already did some to the Command Campaign and it seems so far (crossing fingers) just OK. Are you saying you did not encounter a single enemy soldier from paradrop point to the comm tower or the comm tower was unguarded when you arrived after fighting off XX amount of evil enemies? What did the hint say? Hmm did this come from SE from the first objective?

    Its not only looking, it is. True. Or surely lower skill players should stick with Steal a Car? Fixed. Cant comment on this one other than, I think squad leader should not call extract when situation is too hot. Fixed. Fixed. Squad leader should not... yada yada Fixed. Uhm dunno what to say... Insert LZ was changed further and it does not appear to happen over ocean now. Extract LZ is still the same. Does the extract land on water or what? Fixed. I have played this mission few times, single and multiplayer. I have never seen littlebird to crash. I was already trying the helo waypoint get out, wait for call and get in. Works at least on the desert island test setup. Yet I'm so darn afraid to do ANY modificiations to the missions now in fear of breaking up something else (like happened with Snatch insertion etc). Yes. Machine gunners at 100%, AT 75% and rest 60% skill.

    Small update to our WrpTool project page. First we have the five brothers having a nice reunion at 51km terrain. wrptool-24.gif Then zoom into Chapoi, taking a look around there... wrptool-26.gif and when we are bored, lets use mouse to drag a box over bunch of trees, hit CTRL-C and wrptool-27.gif Copy & Paste them around a bit... wrptool-28.gif I have been playing around with this util now for two days, here is some facts: It has not crashed yet. Its fast, no laggyness on my 1.3ghz, 512mb, gf2 gts machine when editing 51km terrain. Moving objects is easy, use mouse to drag them around. Placing objects is pretty much easy as you select object from Object Browser and place it with ALT-LeftMouseButton or INSERT key press. Or you can put mouse over existing object, press HOME key to fetch the object type there and then place it with the above mentioned method. Rotating the objects is easy, hold down left SHIFT key and LeftMouseButton and move mouse around, object rotates. You can also select option that when you place new object, it has already random rotation. Its a good start 🙂

    Okay, so whos being racist now? Oh dear you guys with this bull about little things. The only one factor that makes me think about the ai_control script is the deadly enemy artillery that they call on you. Anyways, answer to your question is; unpbo the campaign, use notepad to open init.sqs file in each of the mission dirs, comment out the lines which say: ["initialise",assault1,[0],[0],[0],0,0] exec "ai_control.sqs" And then you and your team mates will be silent during the mission. Remember, you need to do this to each and every mission where you want to remove the voices. Oh btw, I cant provide any "technical support" for Ranger Path campaign if you have done your own edits to it.
