PMC Persistent 1 v0.3.2 Multiplayer mission for ArmA 2 Combined Operations. COOP mission for 32 players, base respawn. You play as US Army soldiers fighting against Takistani Army and militia forces in Takistani terrain. This is extremely long mission and therefore is not for everyone, it will take several hours to complete this mission. There is two random objectives created on mission start, these must be completed and enough enemy KIA's achieved to complete this mission. There is friendly AI forces and helicopters on the scenario so you are not alone and you must watch your fire to avoid friendly casualties. See PMC Tactical Official Release Topic for details. Download from PMC Tactical ArmA 2 Missions page and please read PMC Addons/Mods Online Manuals: PMC Persistent 1 for details.

That's because you missed v1.5 back in last year, check out the changelog and be blown away :) Next release just cannot be larger as we only have fraction of the time to edit it. Now we try the frequent updates system, more releases in shorter time. It doesn't mean there wont be any good stuff included, not at all. -
PMC Somalia v0.6 has been released! We are looking for modeler/texturer to help us develop most realistic Somalia Conflict mod for PC, please join to help. First post updated, enjoy.

Multiplayer with PMC 51km Desert terrain
Snake Man replied to Snake Man's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - MULTIPLAYER
PMC Tactical server addons has been updated 05-23-13 We now also host PMC Rattler (25km desert terrain), PMC Rugen (25km european terrain) and PMC Somalia (whole Somalia conflict mod) on top of the existing PMC 51km Desert (51km desert terrain). This means that yes indeed the amount of required addons has increased greatly which will put off some people... For anyone still wanting to join our server to play great PMC COOP missions, its not that difficult. The four different set of addons do not conflict with each other and none of our missions are using stuff from more than one addon at the time. We even have pure no addons required chernarus/takistani PMC missions there which require indeed no addons to join the server. The catch is though, that lets say you join the server to play chernarus/takistani missions which require no addons, you play along... then someone else in the server changes a mission to any of the addon missions... then you would be dropped off the server with an error that you cannot edit/play this mission because content is missing. Simplest solution is to install all addons of course, any PMC fan should already have done so anyways. If you use Play withSix launcher it will automatically install all addons for you, no work is necessary from your part. Here are some Play withSix links for you to ease the search even more: http://play.withsix.com/arma-2/mods/pmc-51km-desert http://play.withsix.com/arma-2/mods/pmc-rattler http://play.withsix.com/arma-2/mods/pmc-rugen http://play.withsix.com/arma-2/mods/pmc-somalia You can manually download all of those from PMC Tactical ArmA 2 Downloads page. Hope to see you on the server... -

The next version will be another great one, I have nice set of issues learned from my own MP gaming sessions which fixes will improve the gameplay even further. I'm going to add all the new models/vehicles that are under work or donated to us. In 2013 VTE will be focusing into more frequent updates like shown with the v1.5.25 release. No need to wait for months if not years for another unbelievable VTE release, I won't make any promises but you could be seeing updates every month now... -
Vietnam: The Experience, ArmA 3 Preview
Snake Man replied to Snake Man's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
I have to assume you mean would be really nice to see FULL VTE over in ArmA 3, then yes :) Thanks guys for the nice replys, I'm glad the small notes made it clear to anyone that its just an quick port and we definitely need a modeler/texturer to join our team to improve the content for full version. If anyone has any specific bug report requests that fixes for those would make their missions run better etc, just post and I'll see if it can be fixed in the context of this preview version. -

Vietnam: The Experience
Snake Man replied to Snake Man's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Thanks to Sickboy for sharing Play With Six lockdown launcher with us, I would have announced this first but was under the impression it was private info on private chat, apparently I was mistaken! Basically by using this utility you get an Updater, Launcher and ServerBrowser specialized for Vietnam: The Experience. Several elements and unrelated content are either removed or hidden. It is a basic bootstrapper program that Installs Play withSIX and pre-requisites when missing, and launches Play withSIX in lockdown mode on the desired mod. If you like, you still have access to the full Play withSIX experience, simply by launching it instead of the bootstrapper. Both the bootstrapper and the lockdown mode are still early versions and both will be much improved coming time. Expect improvements and more variants popping up for more mods coming time :) Download from PMC Tactical - ArmA 2 Downloads page. -
Moving Arma2/3 profile folders to another disk?
Snake Man replied to Kommiekat's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
You can put the profiles parameter anywhere, there is no order. One shortcut for each mission, I hope you mean addon/mod. There is no reason to make mission specific but I assume you meant mod. Yes I have tons of shortcuts, each for different addons/mods I use. Its good to combine those addons you use for certain missions etc, for example I have collected all terrains that don't require addons into one mod dir. -
Moving Arma2/3 profile folders to another disk?
Snake Man replied to Kommiekat's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Sure. That would create for you: e:\arma2\Profiles\Users\<YOURWINDOWSNAME>\Missions <- for your single player missions e:\arma2\Profiles\Users\<YOURWINDOWSNAME>\MPMissions <- for your multi player missions e:\arma2\Profiles\MPMissionsCache <- missions saved when you join someones server e:\arma2\Profiles\arma2.RPT <- your RPT log file So just move your existing Users dir there and you can load all the missions you did while in My Documents default dir. -

Moving Arma2/3 profile folders to another disk?
Snake Man replied to Kommiekat's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
I actually just migrated my arma2/arma3 profiles directories from the game root dirs into a brand new just pure "armap" directory which now stands in my Armed Assault, ArmA 2 and ArmA 3 profiles directory. I did it just for convenience, its easy to backup and its separate from the game directory if a day comes that I have to reinstall them, not likely but still its nice to have profiles separate. This actually started because of the steam crap in ArmA 3, the hell I wont keep my addons/users dir in those spaces in directory name ugly steamapps dirs. Not exactly sure what answer do you seek, I mean naturally you should use -profiles= parameter to set where the profiles dir is located. My SSD starts to get quite full too, when ArmA 3 beta/final comes (ie the other content) then I'm surely running out of space and face the same issue as you (now I migrated just different dir inside the SSD). I do have Play With Six which installs few addons that I use with it, into another drive (not SSD), maybe I'll have to move some of my addons there when I ran out of SSD space. So you are not using any -profiles= parameter now as you store your stuff in the horrific My Documents (brrr) location, so the answer is, just start using profiles dir/parameter like everyone I know since the release of Armed Assault. -

I don't have the originals at hand here, I'd have to search through my dvd backups. However if you just want to get to play real fast, I can pack the addon dirs directly from my CWA mods dir and put somewhere for you to download?
