Well I am running a mid ranged system it is a dule core, and ARMA runs fine, in fact I keep seeing all these issues with Graphic Cards etc etc and I am glad I dont have cutting edge gear. ARMA may need a few tweeks but I dont think there is much to "Fix" as such. Now I know people will argue with me on that, but take the point of view of a PLAYER not a modder or a system Tech or a coder. I just play it, period and its bloody good fun.

I hope that the servers that Ban for TK have Humans doing the Banning. Can a script tell that the 12 players that died, were shot down by a Shilka? and that the server or player suffered a Lag spike? Dont get me wrong I say BAN their ARSE! but how often has the above happened?

Words to live by! I would much rather have 2 servers in Aus running with good / persistant admin support then 50 servers with no admins on them. Anti Cheat methods will be over ridden the day before they come out. I did a Google search and found 3 sites that provide a demo hack and then ask for money for the full version, they guarantee It will never be picked it up. And if you look at several games out there, it wont. Its amazing what kids use their parents Plastic on.

Mate we are NOT against it. We would all support a hack free server!! The issue is PB simply does not work. And when its running it causes lag for a lot of players when its trying to update etc, and other hassels if you have a bad connection to the PB Update server, which seems to be more frequent for more players I have spoken too.

For us laymen Thsi is a key thats on the CD? and is sent to the server when you join? And if so wont they just adapt thiers? to suit a 9 digit server as we are letting them all know in here. Should you guys be PMing all this? Sorry may be stupid questions, but I was interested

Hi all I have not been in these forums long; however I have been playing computer games since the dawn. I have played FPS since the release or DF1 and have played them all, cept quake in Multiplay (I think some of you will understand why) I have not read all the replies but I will say this. With a simple Google search you will find at least 3 sites that Give a warranty that their product if you purchase it after trying the demo version WILL not be caught by Punkbuster. The sad fact is that PB is usless the only people it will catch are the people on slow connections when it fails to update and ofcourse the foolish who dont pay for thier cheat softwear. PB is not effective in ANY FPS to date, the hackers are building better and faster than PB can, that’s a sad fact.

Hi all Didnt really know where to post/ask this so forgive if its the wrong forum Ev 1.5 played if with out a hitch for ages. Ev 3.0 and on a server run by my ISP I am getting lots of Desynch messages to the point where its really not worth playing. Interfears every 5 minutes at least. I have checked my connection etc, play in a different server (as soon as I exited Ev 3.0) running different co-op with more players in it, and smooth as silk. Game is standard patched to latest.

Hi guya and sorry I was not back to this very quick, work has been hell Ok Anunnaki: that is what is happening mate, and because we have so few Australian servers, I guess lots of people are comming and going, Its killed me more times than the AI lol CodeSkyWolf: it could be that as well, I am sure they just slapped it up without much thought, however what Anunnaki is describing is whats happening my side.

I hated OFP its was so badong I love ArmA it has it all RIGHT Love or hate its an opinion and everybody has one. ArmA will live on my computer for at least 7 years, yes its that good. I am sure it will live on others that long or longer. I LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT

I vote for a speed up please. This would have to be one of the games minor issues, and shold be addressed in a patch.

Because when they act like idiots and ruin the game, it defeats the point in playing with humans. I have played a few games now, and yes it happens. But please dont come crying to the Devs to change the game. The Devs already thought of a fix, its very simple, you want no fools on ya server then Lock it and pass out passwords. wasting their time with changes that are not required by most of the player base is not something I want to hear about.

Well I play Multi Player to Play with Humans, not AIs. (yes I know AIs are in Coop) If I want to play with AIs I play single player. Whats the Point of Multi play if the Humans cant play where they want? when they want and in which capacity they want? And who cares if a player buggers up a mission? they are only Human!(I do not mean Hacking a game etc).

Easy fast fix, Password your server and only give out Password to forum requests etc. HOLD up on that just seen this Anti Cheat Thread

Having the new stuff in computing is always a bad idea. I had a quick look at the thread and that looks like a graphic issue from that image, I would turn the Graphic Gards Settings to Minimal and work up if you get a picture. Thats from the desktop. Also set your afinity to single core and see if that helps. Grasphing at straws here :P

Just my 2 cents worth. I would much rather a Deadly AI thats dumb than a Very smart AI thats not really as smart as it should be. At least how it is at the moment you have to always be on your toes, knowing the AI will kill ya, than playing hide and seek with an AI that in the end makes stupid mistakes because of a limitation of the game engine. As of now you muck up in a fire fight and you get your butt handed to you. I like that

And I would counter with, that it has the Potential to turn it into DOOM/CS/UReal/BF2 style play (re maps and thier makers)with all the HACKERS that come with it.

This game shines in Multiplay. 2142 nope oppsite end of the spectrum.

If it does not slow the server HELL YES!! So this will stop people from impersonating the Server Admin?

I just hit it when I think things are starting to drop, I used it about 15 times last night with no troubles and she ran smooth as silk.
