  1. Here's a small COOP mission I got inspired to make while playing CWR-mod and waiting for ARMA2. Mission is set on Podaga island so it requires FDFmod and Queen's Gambit expansion. With group respawn the mission is also playable in single player. The objective is pretty straightforward; destroy empty T-72's and a fuel depot in SLA base. With good enemy detection capabilites and heavy reinforcements around the corner it might not be as easy as it sounds.   3. Maybe you have high viewdistance in singleplayer but in multiplayer mission/server enforces lower viewdistance and thus the problem doesn't occur. Just a guess, don't have A2 yet. :)

    Arma just doesn't run

  7. The forum search doesn't seem to work for words with three letters. For three letter search I only get: For two letter search I get: Three letter search could be useful. For example lots of mod names are three letters. :)

    Custom face textures in ArmA 2?

    I just hope there's option to disable custom faces/sounds on client side. Nothing kills immersion more than running into some skull faced soldier or hearing annoying-thing-sound five times in a row.

    co30 Domination! One Team

    I think that bug is ArmA related. I remember having it few times in ArmA 1.14 (+sound mod) while playing Warfare. It happened to me also while reading map and getting killed. At least one time I was creating a marker on the map when I died and had this bug.
  12. You could try grouping the civilian vehicle to opfor man and set that mans probability of presence to 0%.
  13. You know there's a Domination AI version with the original Domination mission pack. In it you can "recruit" up to 8 AI-soldiers at the airport. It shouldn't be too hard to include this feature in XAM-version too. Better ask _Xeno_ about it.

    You can use arrow keys to move in the build-view. With mouse I couldn't move South either.

    Firefox Biki Search plug-in

    One way is to use Firefox's smart keywords feature. With it I write for example bi setFuel to addressbar in order to use the search. Now with Firefox 3 I probably get the page suggested in addressbar if I've visited that page before.

    Grapics corruption

    I'm also experiencing these graphics corruptions with my 8800 GTS 512. I don't think they are heat related be cause sometimes it happens after few minutes playing and sometimes I can play hours w/o any graphics glitch. Before the corruption happens the screen freezes for several seconds and then the my graphics look something like in the first pic below. ArmA's flush command doesn't fix it. If I manage to get to the ArmA's video settings and change anti-aliasing to different value the game rerenders all graphics correctly and I'm good to continue playing. Today I had for the first time the tree-replaces-all-textures-bug as seen in second pic. (Yesterday I installed latest GeForce drivers 175.19, before I used 175.16.) This might be just a hunch but I have a feeling this corruption happens most often when I'm doing right-click zoom in game.

    Metal Claws

    Cool action-packed mission. Clearing buildings to stop AI respawn is much welcomed change in v2. Did anyone get this to run on linux server? For some reason our linux server crashed immediately when giving #missions command on server. After removing the mission the server worked ok. Mission filename was all lower-case. Didn't test if this happened with v1.

  24. You are missing a comma after "z1". This error is in DAC readme pdf. Just check the examples that come with DAC or this thread.
  25. I'm experiencing strange lag/jerkiness with beta 1.11. It's like the game constantly freezes for few milliseconds once a second or so. If I monitor my fps I don't see a drop there. The phenomen  is easiest to spot by moving sideways and see the image jump as if several frames were missed. I tried with different versions of gpu drivers with no help. (Now using Cat 8.3.) If I switch back to my backed-up beta 1.09 folder the problem always disappears. Never had this problem with any previous ArmA versions either. Windows XP Pro SP2, ATI Catalyst 8.3 C2D E4300 @ 3GHz Sapphire Radeon X1950 Pro 256 MB Abit AB9 2 GB DDR2-800 EDIT: Problem sees to be fixed now. Must have been some gpu driver setting. Maybe related to vsync although I tried that before too.
