    For God Sake!

    are u running a 64bit OS? If so then I recommend whatever compatibility settings it has for 32 bit programs, I know alot of 32 bit games (like arma) crap out in 64bit for some people while others its ok. Worth a try, if it still doesnt work feel free to PM me and I'll do what I can to help.

    Jump over fences/walls?

    I dont mind the way it goes over little fences atm, may look alil silly but it works, what I'd like is a way to 'climb' over walls and taller fences (preferably with help from a mate), it takes some time and thus your vunerable, but would mean a wall isnt impossible to pass, just very risky.
  3. I think the biggest issue with indoor fighting with ArmA is that there doesnt seem to be enough room, like the rifle keeps getting in the way, so either bigger doorways etc or a way for the rifle to be raised automatically when getting close to a wall
  4. ACE can only use it if they get permission, otherwise its stealing. Great job at converting the unit, I recall helping Jynx with the radar for it, I'll ask him and see if we can convert the radar unit to go with it.

    Ghost Recon: Future Soldier trailer.

    GRAW isn't a bad game, and technically it does follow the GR style, an elite force using top of the range equipment (when GRAW was in production the future force warrior program was either in production or maybe just canceled), so it was atleast a real possability, and using hardware that existed (even tho just in prototype format). The new one looks totally fictional, and tbh that's whats going to kill it the most, GR has always been about 'next gen' equipment on elite troops, but its always been real equipment (just stuff that was new/limited usage), the new one looks like its going a different direction and will probably fall flat on its face.

  8. I'd say a reloadable AT, something like a javlin/carl gustov with AT4. Probably go down the Jav style since its the newest and improve on it imo.

  10. I've made some wreck models for an addon I'm working on (tracked), but sofar I cant figure out how to tell the game to have it replace the unit when its destroyed (the unit just sits there as normal but burning). Anyone know the steps for calling the wreck up?

    yes to both points I also have the other config stuff that Waxbutter said and I have wreck=wreckconfig EDIT: Is the fact its a vehicle rather then a plane/heli a possible reason?

  13. I want to move the MP5 into the pistol slot however other then having it call up the pistol stats I cant find a way to get it in the slot. I need to know the command line that pistolcore has to tell the weapon to go into the pistol slot. I've gotten the ammo over, just not the weapon sofar.
  14. lol no problem mate, we all had to start somewhere :) The models are .p3d format. As already stated, Vila is the best port of call ;) It's not an addon makers mistake if they didn't make it for ACE :P. In general its best to speak to the creator.
  15. He probably means the model, the area effected needs to have a 'selection' designated. Which means you need to pester the original maker to modify their addon, and not all of us are interested in ace so you may not get compliance from all.
  16. Been playin the series since OFP in 2000, gone from just playing to also modding, I'd hate to count the amount of hours I've spent in them.... lol
  17. Actually that would be a very quick job, mostly changing the logos and modifying the AV8B model (which is MLOD from A1). I may look at doing this (I already have a modified harrier for A1 I never released which was meant to be a GR7) EDIT: bugga it I'll do it now

    99.9% of the time when AI shoots u when they shouldt be (eg through a wall they shouldnt see u through) is because of this reason. The lods in A2 quite often are terribly done (the headless resistance troops show it very well). I wish BIS would fix the lods, itd solve soo many issues :(

  21. G'day, I'm yet to figure out how to make stuff visible through glass as the alpha effect make its disapear. Would anyone know a tut or be able to tell me what selection name, config line, whatever I need to put in to make stuff show properly? Currently my landrovers seats look funny through the glass :p

    Patch 1.05 Satisfaction Survey

    I loved the campaign, finally one that sucked me in like OFP did.... until the PC restarted (think it overheated, its summer in Australia and ArmA does force the PC to work hard :P)
