Graphical Glitches and problems with training miss
R3MF replied to mac1_8's topic in ARMA - TROUBLESHOOTING
almost identical problem. -
after updating to: Feb 07 DX9 93.71 nVidia drivers stopped the above problem. however, after playing perfectly for a while i know get weird LOD glitches where various objects such as buildings, trees and people can be less than 10 yards away and will still display the absolute minimum Level of Detail, as if they were over a kilometre away...

installed fine. played the intro fine. played the first level fine. second level got this weird effect: graphics go into a weird black overlay, with cascades of bright coloured pixels defining the characters on-screen in a strange kind of bas-relief effect. European Armed Assault To Feature Exclusive Conten
R3MF replied to JamieOFPFiles's topic in ARMA - GENERAL
ace. -
just a personal opinion; but your PC is far to good to be wasted playing at 1024x768. you really want something widescreen running at 1920x1200.
-
looking forward to the final version. is it still expected very soon, or is a "before christmas" date more realistic?
-
GFX adapter it would seem so far. thank you. i am hoping that my 7950GT will cope at 1920x1200.
-
one of them is my girlfriend. OT: as a non owner of Arma, i have a couple of questions: what is the limiting factor with Arma hardware wise? eg, UT2004 was always CPU limited, Gothic3 appears to be memory limited, and Fear seems to be fill-rate (GPU) limited.

i would love to get an 8800 series card, but they are all too long to fit in my Silverstone case. C2D 6600 2x 1GB PC6400 XFX 7950GT

agreed. besides that. T-shirt Poster Soundtrack CD Ammo box

happy birthday, looking forward to the next update.
-
congrats, i love the first one. will this have any problems sitting alongside the FFUR 2006 v2.5 addon pack, compatibility wise? cheers
-
will this have any problems working along side the Tonal Redux pack, compatibility wise?
-
congrats BIS.
-
excellent, cheers. p.s. where is the download link?
-
what's a "TB"?
-
but so many good toys to play with! Challenger2, Leclerc, Leopard 2A6, etc

hang fire until the summer refresh next year when the new DX10 parts get produced on the smaller and cooler 0.65u manufacture process. realistically, nothing is going to use D3D10 before end of next year in any meaningful way really.
