Not Noobs as New People, Noobs who Tk,Shout Violent Abuse at people and people with illegal copies of the game. AFAIK it's not possible to play online with an illegal copy. Did they not do the FADE thing again this time round?

Yip, those, Mine does not! All my settings are on 'normal', tried to up the object detail to max but still nadda! Anyone know why?

Yip, guess that's the fancy name for it We just called it the 'LMG' or 'MAG'. It's an awesome weapon and if you oil it enough is quite reliable.

Nope, the belt fed oke. Carried it myself for two years in the Angola war! It's called the FN MAG. Picture on security arms (hope they allow direct linking ) http://www.securityarms.com/20010315/galleryfiles/2800/2857.htm

I do not know the USA 249 at all but in my day we used the FN which uses 7.62 and the FN LMG which is also 7.62. The LMG was belt fed and every 3rnd a tracer whereas the rifle was mag fed and normally had no tracers. Why would the 249 be different? Don't the US put tracer rounds in their belts to make it easier for the gunners? IMO this whole tracers bitch and moan saga is people using these machine guns in online games for their great ability to put a ton of lead downrange but it's giving away their positions. For gameplay sake I see it as a fair compromise.

Make sure the areas for the two triggers do not overlap each other. If they do, one will not work. One should either be completely inside the other then it will work

How do I use it. I tried by placing a gamelogic, naming it test. Then in the init field I type 'nul=[test, 0.01, 0, "M9", "15Rnd_9x19_M9", 1, 5, 0.2] execVM "placeweapons.sqs"' This causes to game to CTD with an error 7 or something Any ideas of what I am doing wrong? I tried replacing the test part with this with same result. Script can be found HERE

Trigger to dedect civvies
RogueRunner replied to RogueRunner's topic in ARMA - MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
That made whooooosh as it went by Thanx for the help guys but looks like it's not meant to be -
Ok so I'm a scripting n00b and I need to clear a town of baddies but leave the civvies intact, lets say 70% of them alive. Two questions. How do I do this, obviously with a trigger (I hope ) and get a message saying 'Damage to high, yadda yadda yadda your a bad soldier' I have a trigger currently looking for bad guys in a huge circle around the town. As soon as it sense none in the circle it abrutly stops and give me my score. How do I do it so that you continue flying/playing with just a message popping up in the center of the screen telling you you have won?

Trigger to dedect civvies
RogueRunner replied to RogueRunner's topic in ARMA - MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
My orignal problem was that the trigger circles overlapped and then one of them did not work. When I changed it so that the one is smaller than the other and none of the circle lines crossed both triggers work. Now my problem is just how to make it to detect that 30% if the civs were killed and not the 'once, not present' thing -
