No problem with the mod. Like someone explained, if that forum is for TS the game as is out of the box then so be it.

I posted a question in the troubleshooting section about not being able to play online with the FDF soundmod installed and the topic was locked by a moderator. Now for n00bs like me I would have no idea if it's possible or not to play with things like sound mods installed on default online servers. Instead I get a message to contact FDF support. Now someone please enlighten me. If there is no problem with a mod, any mod can you play online with it even if it's not installed on the server? Things like sounds would be ok'ish I would think but obviously mods with new skins, helicopters and the like would not be possible. Is this correct?

hmmm, this is a forum regarding question related to the game is it not? If I do not know if a mod can make it so that I cannot play online this would be the place to find that out is it not? Not everyone has had OPF since the dawn of time and is experts in the ins and outs of how it works! If it's the soundmod that causes this then so be it but then it could be explained better. I am not trying to be difficult here, just trying to find out more about how things work in this game.

I get a version mismatch error. If I start the game with the normal game icon I can join! Question is can I not play online with these sounds or will I have to use the default sounds when playing online?

Hope the guy in that video was not firing at something cause then he kinda suck! Those tracers are a tad big though! Real life it's much much smaller! It looks big due to the camera and I think it's called lens flare! But anyway, you can see the bounce of some tracer early in the movie and that has never been done quite correctly in a game, they tried with marginal success but not just the same. I miss my LMG days in the army

yip, was fine in 1.04. They would shoot back when you sniped from distance but was horrible and pretty survivable for you. Now with 1.05 they will hit you with the first volley and you will be dead in no time! This is from aroun 500 - 600m

That's not compensators at all! It's the gas vents for the gas blowback and would do almost nothing, if anything at all to recoil!

That makes perfect sense. I'd like to know this myself. I've wondered this many times. If I am to fly a great distance to a place that is no objective or anything, how do I make a marker on the map that I can see in the heading indicator??? Since no one is talking I suppose it's not possible then Hope it would be in a future patch

On a related note. Why when I put down an empty SU35 I cannot select it to be playable? Only when You start inside the jet is it available to fly? -

and whats up with the damn truck reverse horn when you get damage or even worse, shoot at a tank a long way of with an RPG and you can hear them shifting into reverse before the damn rocket even hits

Now how do you give yourself a waypoint to flyto in ArmA? For instance, I'm just a lowly chopper driver and a teammate is stranded somewhere on the map. He gives me his coordinates and I need to fly there to pick him up. How would I setup a waypoint to get the yellow marker thingy to fly there and pick him up? If I double click on the map I can make a note to myself and name it but it will never appear as a waypoint marker in my HUD view to flyto? Hope this makes sense!!
