I have a track ir 4 and I don't think I could live without it - especially for flying in Arma. I had problems on the ground too with 6dof until I took out the forward/back movement for the game in the profile (It seems way too sensitive). With that disabled it is very nice to use on your soldier, your situational awareness goes up quite a bit and has saved my butt in battle more than once. You just have to spend a little time to tweak it a bit for Arma and give yourself a few days to get used to it. I promise if you do that you will not go back.

*Ouch* you guys are harsh. It isn't like they put banner ads and pop ups all over the forums. It was just one small post showing how trackir works in the game. No where did it say BUY ME NOW - CLICK HERE. Considering that TrackIR supports Armed Assault you should cut them some slack.

I had this exact same problem. Install the 1.2 patch (make sure you get the correct language version). _YES_ I know the game comes already patched to 1.2 from Sprocket, but this does work. Once it is patched you can launch the game and it will accept your name and license. Don't ask me why it works but it just does. Good luck.... Bottom line is 98% of the United States won't get Resistance until the 9th. I talked to the guys at GameStop just down the street from me (they are always great about calling me when a title I want is coming in) and they said it is highly doubtful you will find Resistance *anywhere* before the 9th. So instead of playing Chinese fire drill with all the software outlets for the next 4 days, sit back, relax, drink a nice cold beer, kiss your wife, pet the dog and contemplate the meaning the universe...

Bottom line is software dealers/outlets get priority on shipments over single customer preorders. I learned this during the pre-order fiasco with Interplay's Starfleet Command series. Â Loyal fans who pre-ordered the game from Interplay received the game 2 weeks after stores got them. Â Needless to say there was some loyal fans who felt highly betrayed by the very game they supported so much. Best bet is to call around to your local stores and reserve it if you want to get the game first. Publishers cater to dealers. Â Dealers cater to CUSTOMERS.
