  1. I just wanted to add that I have been really enjoying HAC. Haven't tried all of the features yet, just playing around with it to learn the basics so far. I have run into the problem where the ai units will not engage each other. Usually when this happens it's not long before the game locks up and I have to use the task manager to close it. While doing this testing I'm not running any mods/addons. I do have Combined ops + the other official addons (BAF etc..) I am only using stock ARMAII units in the mission on Utes. The first test mission had about 100 units on each side with a HAC commander for each army, it worked perfect. I then doubled the amount and that's when the crashes started. I tried running the same mission that crashed without HAC and by adding in a bunch of waypoints to get the two armies fighting. It ran just fine with a huge battle in the middle of the airport on Utes. I also made another version and dumped all 400 units right on the airport and ran that with HAC. It ran just fine as well with a huge battle. My thinking is that when I had all the units right on the airport fighting using HAC that the losses were great enough in the first few minutes that it reduced the numbers of ai down far enough not to clog up the system.

    Apparently one of my mods is breaking ALICE on Duala, it still works fine on the stock maps though. A few civilians showed up on Duala after I tried it with no other mods installed. It still took a while before any showed up and there were only a few, not as thick as on the stock islands. I will test some more later and try to figure out which mod is causing the problem. This is my favorite island.

    I think my engine comment distracted from my original question. Is there anything special I need to do to get the ALICE civilian module to work on this map? The ambient cars and animals are working, though kinda sparsely populated. Love the new truck btw! I'll still take my pushrod v8 over dohc anyday

    Are you planning on making the LAV 100-200s again? I loved all the variants. I tried porting them over for my own personal use, but had a lot of texture issues.

    Is 2.7L considered a large engine in Europe? My daily drivers are a 5.0L car and a 5.7L truck... Is there anything special I need to do to get the ALICE civilian module to work on this map? The ambient cars and animals are working, though kinda sparsely populated.
  7. As said before, learn how to use the mouse and keyboard unless you physically can't. It is far superior to a gamepad for moving and shooting. I personally don't know how anybody could use a gamepad for aiming... Track IR is fantastic, I don't know if it's worth the price for only ARMAII but I have one from my flight simulators and it's nice to use in ARMAII also. For driving I just use the keyboard, but for flying I use my flight sim setup, Full HOTAS, rudder pedals and all.

  9. Still not getting anything with that link. Clicking on it just goes to the front page of zippyshare, and copying the link into GetRight, it says there is no file to be downloaded at that location.
  10. BMD-3 next? :D I would love to see some MTLB and BTR variants too. Those are sorely lacking at the moment. Would you guys consider adding in the rest of the crew for the BMDs to be default, or at least the hull gunner? I'm sure you guys have a wealth of information, and may already have this book, but if not it I recommend it. "Soviet/Russian Armor and Artillery Design Practices: 1945 to Present" It gives a lot of technical data and even has a lot of the prototype vehicles. It's kinda hard to find a copy though.

    My Maxx is missing the texture on the CROWS mount. You are probably aware, but the Caiman with the M134(I think it's that one) doesn't display the turret or gunner from the driver view inside. Everything else is awesome though.
  12. Mine was doing that also, I removed all of the ACE mod folders and let the Six updater install from scratch. Fixed my problems.

  15. Nevermind, I fixed the problem by removing all of ACE and letting the Six updater start from scratch installing it. There was a bug with the LAV and Bradley where the AI would not engage using the cannon. Here's the link to where it was supposed to be fixed, but I'm still having the problem. http://dev-heaven.net/issues/9071 The LAV and Bradley AI will engage using the cannon if the enemy vehicle has zero ammo, but if the enemy has any ammo the AI will refuse to engage them using the cannon. Also the engage range is rather short when they do decide to use the cannon, seems to be about half the distance of the BTR90 cannon range. I have tried using vanilla arma, just the ace mods, and with all my mods installed. Vanilla works fine, and with ACE I get the situation described above. I've been around the OFP/Arma community since the beginning, but I'm new to ACE. The above mentioned bug fix appears to have been applied, but I'm not for sure.
