  1. beat it once already and playing it a second time over. i like it overall, the quests are interesting and how the story branches out is neat and i heard DLC will be free. but theres alot of little gripes i have about the game too. the combat part of the game isn't that great. and some of the monsters are really annoying like the golems who will often get you trapped against a wall and keep knocking you over repeatedly untill you die and the annoying wraiths which i have a hard time hitting with my sword.

the dragon fight at the last act was pretty lame too

and the alchemy tree feels pretty useless since you no longer need to spend any points in it to make anything. wish i could post some screen shots but the print screen buttons won't work in the game for some reason.

  2. But anyway yes the US system is now close to institutionalised slavery, with the privatisation of the jail system there is now a profit motive to get as much money as possible out of these inmates, as well as to get as many people sent to jail as possible, they then do work without being paid minimum wage.

i think making prisoners work is a brilliant plan. if every prison became a factory we would solve our trade deficiet with china since we would now have the worlds cheapest work force. why should they be payed anyway? they are getting room and board and heathcare. i think i'll write my congressmen about this little idea.

  3. the reasons for getting involved in this conflict are the same reasons Bush and Cheny started using to justify a regime change in iraq after it turned out saddam didn't have any wmds to give to terrorists and now i see nations that were than against the iraq war are now all of a sudden ok bombing libyia. i don't like this at all and feel we shouldnt be getting involved in another war that may end up being another occupation with another insurgency and more expensive nation building. give these rebels some guns and rockets and make them remove gaddafi themselves.

  4. i like the game but heres my nitpicks:

they removed some of the features in this new game that were in the old one. for starters you cant shoot from your car (at least i haven't been able to figure out how to) i know that it was kinda of a lousy mechanic in the first game cause it was difficult to shoot and drive at the same time, but they could of kept it in and made it a little better in the second game. police also no longer come after you for running red lights or stop signs. yea it was at time irritating to have police come after you in missions where you had to drive like a lunatic cause you were on a time limit, but still could of left option where you could set police difficulty. speaking of which theres way too many police cars on the streets. its like every corner you turn at there is a cop car right there. motorcycles would have been nice too since this is taking place in the mid 1940's to 1950's. would of like to have the mafia II version of the indian chief and early harly davidson. and side missions would of been nice to make it feel a little less linear.

  5. For you people like JFK, Dr. King and nowadays Dr. Paul also have to be anti-american then?

Yes, America helped to save the world more then ones and guess what I'm more then thankfull about that. I grew up in the so called American sector of West-Berlin and my father and his brothers were some of the boys that caught the parachutes that Gail Halvorsen and his friends were throwing out of their planes during the blockade. I've to tell only good things about you and never felt you were occupiers but close friends who care for other nations people.

But all this seems to have changed drastically. I want back the old America from about 50 years ago that didn't started aggressiv wars and didn't go to war without a declaration and for lower (economical) reasons.

You say yourself that Iraq was a big mistake and you were betrayed by some few (with which I think you mean your former president and his coatholders) but the same unfortunately goes for Afghanistan, too.

Yes, my country is also involved but I'm surely not down with it even if I was a soldier in our military myself and have friends who were down there. If my voice would count we would be gone yesterday already because in my opinion this is just a massive waste of resources (human and financial).

you realise we were at war with vietnam about 50 years ago right? america 50 years ago was even worse than today. back than 20,000 military deaths were the norm and to destroy military targets by air would involve carpet bombing several city blocks with dumb bombs. Napalm was also a popular weapon of choice too.

  6. I've seen worse police beatings than that one. One that comes to mind is a police chase in Birmingham Alabama. I'd post the video, I don't wana risk violating any forum rules by posting it, but its pretty easy to find on youtube. In my opinion these people really have it comming to them when they do stupid things like this.

  7. was waiting for this since 2008! 2 years later I dont know if I will like it, the cartoony RA3 like look kills the starcraft atmosphere.

    is it really worth €50,-?

what is the estimated time for the campaign? always bugs me to play a game in 2 days and find out that was the whole campaign... (sc:conviction, MW2..)

too bad game developers assume everybody has fast internet!

the campaign is about the same length as all 3 factions of the first game combined. i think theres about 26 or 27 missions total. and you do get the map editor so you can make your own multi player maps and campaign style single player maps.

  8. to answer the posters question, here is a description of Ohio's gun laws

you may carry a concealed weapon but must have a permit. you must attend a training course to aquire a permit (its not free either). if you choose to carry a wepaon w/out a permit, than you must not conceal it. (you have to wear it where it can be openly seen). that doesn't mean however local police won't stop to question why you are wearing a weapon on your leg, hip or shoulder to see if you have any legitimate reason to have one in the open. weapons must be kept in the trunk of the car when tranporting them and ammo must be kept separated from the fire arm unless you have a conceal carry permit than you may keep the weapon up front with you. as for the suppressor, you may need to a special license to own something like that. since i don't know of anybody w/ a surppressor, i would guess that the state doesn't give such a license out to just anybody. you need to be 18 years old to be allowed to buy and own a rifle/shotgun you must be 21 years old to purchase a handgun. theres also some rules about customizing weapons, i over heard a store clerk talking about how this customer brought in a weapon for repairs, but had some after market parts on them. the customer apparently had some kind of paticular set up on this weapon that made it a illegal weapon, he was allowed to have each part individually on the weapon, but couldn't have them on the weapon together. that sums up what i know about OH's gun law

Arma 2 is a niche market. always has been since OFP coldwar crisis. and i'd rather it stay that way. would you really want arma2 OA to join in the feud between halo vs CoD:

    CoD vs Halo

and Starcraft 2 is what im looking forward to, comes out this month.

  10. well way i see it, its a hell of a lot better than countries where military service is still manditory and you don't have any say in the matter. do you even at least get a good paycheck for manditory service? cause i don't think you do.

the shooter did have a choice of wether or not he wanted to join the army. he chose to do so, he got a house and a education for volunteering. and went on a shooting rampage when he was exected to uphold his end of the agreement. and i don't know how long it is you must stay in the service before getting the option wether to reinlist or call it quits but im sure after having spent 8 years he had his chance to leave and chose to stay.

  11. you have to serve so many years before you aloud the option to reinlist or leave, thats just the way it is. and capitalism has nothing to do w/ the public health care and education. its about what everybody in this country wants. there are ALOT of people who are just happy with their private insurance companies taking care of their of them and they get very nasty when somebody mentions plans to raise taxes to make public health care available. you can see just how much people are up in arms about this on youtube.

  12. there is no conscription in the US, you have a choice if you wana be in the military. so i don't know where the slavery part comes in other than it being the usual russian propaganda. if you do enlist, you can get your colledge education and medical coverage all payed for by the government. however, in exchange for all that you right there owe the military your time. seems like a fair enough deal to me. if you don't like the idea of going to war or getting sent far away from home than maybe it wouldnt be a good idea to go and enlist.
