Adding -world="Altis" was enough to have the game start and run. It would appear that once you load the game with the old "world" that is enough to get over the issues I was having. So thank you very much for your help. If this thread could be marks as solved it might help others in the same situation.

I have not been able to get the game to run since the release of Apex. Quite some time back I pre-purchased Apex back when I was still running Windows on a second partition. Since then I have gone 100% Linux and I would like to play ArmA3. Having an issue, the missions are not showing up. Download and extract to the MPMissions folder along with all of the other missions I have downloaded. When I host, get to the list of available missions but the two "Silent Justice" missions are not on the list. I was hopping to do a YouTube play through today as I have done for other versions of this mission for ArmA 2...

Here is my take on playing it solo with supporting AI... -
Spent a couple of hours on this today having not seen it before. Real solid game play, I had so much fun with this. Big thank-you to the maker of this campaign.... :)

[SP] Occupation -- a raging conflict

From a game play perspective, it would be real nice to have a medic in the squad. Save points after completion of individual objectives. It would also be nice if the objectives were listed in order or could be added in turn as each previous one is completed. The option to swap to living squad member to continue the mission without having to return to the beginning if save points are not to be included. But so far so good, real enjoyable game. -

Anti-aliasing settings question

An alternative as you are running a 6000 Series card. Go to the driver options in the AMD control centre and turn on Morphological Filtering, Turn off AA in game but bump up the 3D rez -
Thanks for the profile...

ArmaHolic ArmA 2 Optimization
pendragonuk replied to Fox '09's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
thanks, I had almost forgotten about that post, it's a few months old. I have my rig running the game quite sweetly now. Much to the help of the guys on the forum. These are my current settings and I'm getting 55-57fps on the first benchmarks low 70's on the Takistan benchmarks so I guess I'm doing something right. By pendragonuk at 2011-08-10 -
I do think they could do with some competition as they are hellishly expensive. However I do love mine, the justification I use is it's still cheaper than a triple monitor setup! Just about the only thing I dislike is having to wear either a hat or headphones. I might see if I can get the Pro-clip to attach my glasses... PS: A link to a good ArmA profile would be good

Will my PC Run this? What CPU/GPU to get? What settings? System Specifications.
pendragonuk replied to Placebo's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
I agree that should run the game well, some of the LOD issues will go if you can get ArmA on to the SSD. You have to be ruthless with the other programs that automatically install on the C: drive. I have used a program called "steam mover" to shunt things about from drive to drive but still have them run correctly. When setting the game up the thing to remember is that "normal" is Normal! I have a friend with a less than stellar PC and he like flying and want a long view distance. He has turned off shadows. He spends most of his time in the air and has little use for them. I spend all of my time with my boots on the ground so run the game with much higher settings but with a sub 2K view distance so it all looks lush.
