  1. Sure thing, will collate a few pics showing how I have it setup and how it appears ingame etc. TY
  2. Followed the guides on installing mods but I cannot get a single one to work so far. I added the command line and it makes no difference. I get the mods to show up in the menu and am able to select to enable or disable them, however when the game says it needs to restart after enabling a mod it doesn't remember the mod has been enabled ? The only thing the command line does for me is add an entry like the default ARAMA3 in the expansions menu, ie the added folder has no enable / disable option, and no sub drop down comes up with individual mods in that folder in expansions ? Any help much appreciated.

    Tao Folding Map

Nope, the real deal Alpha Full ? All I did was created a folder in the Arma install path called MOD, extracted the contents of both archives and dropped them into that new folder, both mods appear in their own sub folder, did I do something wrong there? I assume not as they appear in the expansion menu in game ?

Hi guys, I installed this mod along with the UK forces mod and both mods show up in the options menu , tick both to enable and then restart ARMA, when you go back to options both mods are un-ticked again and not enabled tho ?

Controls Scheme & User Interface Feedback

Just quick question, and sorry if in the wrong place :( Is it possible to turn off speed sensitive steering in the land vehicles, using a wheel and pedals for the land vehicles and the steering is obviously geared for controllers etc, got the steering rate and sensitivity nearly where I want it but cannot find a way to remove speed sens ??

Stratis Opinions, PC Specs & Editor Curiosity?

Back in the day with the original OFP editor I spent several months making a living breathing scripted mission which just added default traffic and non combatants into the map, breathed life into the beautiful scenery and it all came alive, all these large open space sand box games lack a little depth of soul for this reason. I really like the visuals of A3 so far, runs ok on my modest antique on auto detect settings.

    Su-17/22M4 'FITTER-K'

Looks awesome guys, cant wait to play with that in Arma2 one day I hope :)
  12. No doubt it's been asked a million times before so sorry in advance. I have Arma2 and am interested in OA, does that mean I need to buy OA only, guessing the combined is litraly Arma2/OA correct ?? Does the price of OA represent accurately the improvement from Arma2 to OA , I seem to recall only paying £30 for Arma2, or do you consider OA a totally new game ? Thanks again

    Improve framerate limitations with AI

I am actually a programmer in the games industry, different simulation genre, and I can tell you right now, we are not currently getting the very best from our hardware in any way shape or form, budgets, cross platforming, time pressures all ensure we probably only at best make use of 75% of the potential of the modern gaming PC, this is especially true in the simulation genre where processor power is pushed very hard.......simply running certain physics process's on another core has the potential to improve performance quite drastically in some situations, most post was not a dig at BIS but a general observation of the games industry in general. You only have to look at consoles to appreciate how much more can be gained in quality and performance between the start of a consoles life and the end years where programmers are maximising the full potential of the hardware, the problem with a PC is that the hardware is every changing and the code written for it never fully makes use of all the bells and whistles. ARMA and many other sims could really make good use of those extra cores as and when a developer has the time and resources, or in fact will to embrace modern technology fully.
