Yeah i think what you mean. ;) To a scandinavian chap like me these things are difficult as we don't think the same way like people in somewhere else... And we don't think every word is hiding some racial joke or something like that.

But i noticed in a hard way that that is something very hard to do with this AI. One time it wen't like that and i was extracted just when the bullets start to hit the helo and i was happy. Next time it wen't all wrong. What is difference between waypoint behauviour OPEN FIRE and OPEN FIRE & ENGAGE ? To me they are the same. Helicopter pilot don't follow the waypoint in OPEN FIRE behauviour instead he goes on his private war. Goddamned. :D I just want that the pilot would open fire during landing, but not divert from waypoint. Is that too hard or am i just noob in editing... -
Well. The N word clearly raises some anger still amongst people. Also i got criticised about that there are racial stereotypes throughout the mission. Like all black people drug trafficking and so on. I just don't understand why someone would get offended when the TV networks, movies other games like GTAIV are in the same way using stereotypes. I know many thinks also that southern US (TEXAS) is full of rednecks who drive around in pick ups wearing lumberman jacket and Camel boots and so on. ;) And so those people are often stereotyped to rednecks. But i don't think they get offended by that so easily. I have to admit this subject is still very difficult and can raise strong opinions. In the next update i change the N word to something else. Now i don't have the time even though it wouldn't take long, but i have to go to nightshift. So tomorrow.

Apparently some people got offended by my mission and it clearly wasn't my purpose. I'm sorry if you feel that way. This mission isn't intented to be racial or anything. Just fun action with different sides than usual. :( So i wan't to know did i go too far with this mission ? Are there more people who were offended ?

Yes the extraction is tricky now with strange AI behauviour. The helo engages enemies even though it's ordered to just open fire and not engage them. If there are no enemies nearby the helo lands like it should. I can make the helo land 100% everytime, but then it won't shoot at enemies and very likely get's destroyed. That's what happened when i tested it with Hold fire behauviour. Medic healed me after yelling couple of times. AI just takes long time before they react to orders. Yes you can use CAS as many times as you wan't. Even to take out Shilka. This way it won't be to hard for some who don't wan't to sneak up. And those who wan't more challenge can use the satchel charges. I never had AI stuck in terrain in this map. Namalsk is much worse in that. -

Naah. Our HQ has so modern hi-tech equipment that they see when the enemy COM vehicle black out so they know when to send the chopper. :D -

I'll look into it. It worked everytime in the editor. Atleast they showed up... God i hate the chopper pilots. I mean in this game. ;) If they ever manage to show up then they fly around shooting enemies even though i have issued hold fire. Jesus they are stubborn people. It seems only time it works is when there are no enemies in near landing zone. UPDATE: Now filefront link updated. Armaholic later too. Changelog V1.1 - Fixed extraction -

Thanks. Yeah i thought it would be a good change to play for once other than US or Russia. This isn't very complicate mission, but hopefully someone will have smile on his face when playing. Even small. :rolleyes:

I have used this mod since version 0.2 and i haven't had any problems. Though i agree that guns when fired with FPS view could sound more realistic if add more "punch" to sounds. -
Great work Raunhofer. Looks absolutely beautiful. Can't wait to make some missions for it. Can you give any timeline when can we expect to have public first version ? ;)

I liked the campaign, but i think MINI campaign would be better name for it. -
This definetly is best user made campaign so far. Just plain and simple infantry combat. Don't need truck load of addons like some other may... ;) Hope we see more from Bardosy.

I have tried all the available sound mods for Arma2 and now i can say this mod is the best so far. I tested this with beach head mission from Chesty Puller campaign and the assault was awesome with realistic distant gunfire sounds. Sound of the MG supressing enemies to ground or jet using cannon. Amazing job guys. :) -

Final voting has started if someone doesn't already know it. Though some of the nominees are a bit strange IMO. I would have thought Sumrak's Namalsk island and JTD fire & smoke mod or some sound mod like Vopsound or Hifi would have gotten there too, but no. -
It seems you're just bullshitting here on my thread because you fail to show some proof or any details whatsoever. Only thing in this mission has that isn't mine is how the artillery works and song in the start. Someone from OFPEC uploaded a arty test mission that people could use it freely in their own missions. I just don't get why someone would want to claim someone elses mission as their own. Exspecially if the mission is nothing spectacular like mine missions. All my missions are pretty simple compared to many other. So i'm guessing you have some kind of mental problems because i can't think of any other reasonable cause.

Then post the link cause i didn't find your mission at armaholic and i don't remember your mission. I check new missions at armaholic almost daily basis and have done that since german Arma2 got released. Also as far as i know Armaholic don't delete old missions ever from the website. If anyone else remember this guys mission feel free to comment.

Did ACE2 change the colors more darker or is it just my imagination ? It felt somehow different and better. Not so cartoony bright like in vanilla. Vopsound also isn't needed anymore. Love the new distant gunfire and explosion sounds. -

I had that same error when launching arma once. I found out that there was typo in my shortcut parameter. i had ; at the end of the line that caused crash. -
Win 7 64 not working with arma2

I have used Win7 64 RTM and i have haven't had any problems ever. Every beta patch just improves performance. No need for -winxp or -maxmem parameters. So to OP. Don't blame Win7 for errors you had. Something else is most probably the reason. Thread titles like this are just misleading people.
