My thoughts exactly. Very, very lame. I hope that's just a place holder for something else...

Hi Potatomasher Not sure if that is a South Saharini soldier can you give me a reason you think so. I presume you are talking about the armed figure on the rooftop in the lower right hand corner of the picture. Kind Regards Walker Yeah there's too someone on rooftop, but i meant the rooftop on middle of pic. It was just a wild guess it's enemy. Nothing more. -

Damn, no track-ir for me. Allthough i don't agree with Capt Kane. The enemy soldier on top of that other building has a clear shot. So i wouldn't attack from that position in real life. -
Nice to see they have improved animations so much. Indeed from running to prone position anim looks very realistic.

Exactly. I marked the same spot. -
Maybe you could capture moment when you have some close & fierce firefight against enemy infantry troops in dense forest.

Thanks a lot Sudden death. Finally a gameplay video without speech. Lot's of old sounds i hear. Expecially hit sound, when player is hit. Hope those are spaceholders. And yes gfx reminded a lot of old OFP. Though that video's quality isn't very good to judge gfx.

In that pic what is that grey "thing". Look's like smoke, but it's too straight and high. Rotorblade Yeah dumb me. The edges were so blurred i really didn't thought that.

Thanks for the translation CsonkaPityu. Water is pretty nice now when it's transparent.

I thought this deserves it's own topic to cast little more strenght to devs. I doubt the path hasn't been easy to come this far. This is very amazing to see dev team answering community's never ending questions/thoughts about features of the game. Like they don't have a lot of final bug fixing to do with ArmA. The developer teams that communicate with community are very uncommon these days. So i appreciate BIS very much for that and probably everyone else here too. Nice going. Keep up the good work. BIS

Yes...... Quick.... Exactly.... *looks around* Amazing Grace Just flipped around a few words. ok. Don't tell anyone.

Nice song Jakerod. You are a quick song writer. I think ArmA is a lot more than i expected year ago. So everything they manage to add still to it, is just bonus. I was merely expecting/needing gfx update now it seems we get a lot more.
-
Thanx a lot. Every new video from ArmA is like a present. That footage is the most revealing and best so far. Pity that there is no forest footage though.
-
Ok. Dslyecxi. You win, i don't want to argue with you on this. Obviously you take this whole game (fps genre) much seriously than i am.
-
I'm with you. I think it should be more rewarding when you succesfully hit something with heavier equipment. The explosion/smoke/debris could be bigger or something when hit. Couple different hit effects could be enough. effect 1 = missed shot effect 2 = direct hit effect 3 = partial hit

I really hope that we will get the demo that soon. I played that ambush mission many weeks before OFP came 2001.

Features that are unrealistic. IMO Every one that has fired with a assault rifle or any weapon with iron sights will know what i mean. When sights are adjusted (maybe 1 time in a year) you don't need to touch them. You just look down your sights and find target, BANG. Hit. So if you implement some silly buttons that you have to every time you shoot adjust it's just WRONG. But i don't think BIS would even consider that. So nothing to worry about. In some situations it would be realistic. According to ex-SAS members who fought in the first Gulf War, you have to adjust the sight on the weapon depending on the person. While one person may hit a target 200 m away, if another one gets the same weapon, he may miss the same target completely. So it would be a nice in case you have to pick up a weapon or something... Yeah, i agree completely if that's the case. Different persons can't use the same ironsight "config". However i don't want to adjust sights in a GAME every time i capture enemy's AK, it would ruin the fun gameplay factor BIS is propably trying to achieve aswell to lure those "mainstream" gamers to wonderful world of ArmA.

Yeah, those are very good looking. I just wish someone will release gameplay video without music or someone talking over. Just game voices and sounds.
-
Just what i thought too.

Erhmm. Don't want to ruin your joy, but it's 3 months of waiting.
