i have a small question to ask here; granted im not swarthy to all these publisher/creator detail things but if BI is trying to find a publisher in the US and UK; why dont we, as a community, get together with other fellow countrymen; decide on a publisher that we feel would be best suited to bring the game to our land and then collectivly mass-email them. perhaps it might do nothing perhaps it might spike some interest, but its worth a shot.

yeah i have alot of other things going on in my life right now and am unable to provide tech support or patch releases anymore so Y2K3 and its subsiqent patchs are released as-is glad to see its still being enjoyed by some

just wanted to stop by and agree with this. being what you call an "underpaid person" aka im broke what little money i do have to my name can allow me to afford usualy outragously priced items at a more convient price. hmmm i wonder how much they sell .40 caliber ammo at per box... everywhere else is $15. must look into this! anyway im a walmart shopper. i dont care if they hire illegal immagrants or make people drive to work in the winter, i have no morals or values when shopping, as long as i get a low low price on the exact same crap i can get anywhere else.. im happy! this coming from a guy who watchs his favorite sporting event on a $35 surround sound system purchesed at walmart

thats not a bug. thats how the "walk on deck" feature works. you are ejected then placed 2m above sea level, in this case 1m above the boat. any less and you spawn in the model, get stuck, drown, and die. any higher and you fall down and die. thats the ONLY way to impliment the get out on deck feature

i think i know what your talking about. it spawns at the cutter and bounces off, so you have to retrive it and try again. it seems when you are facing north (0°) this problem happens ALOT less often. not sure exactly how to solve that, wasnt that big of a deal to worry about.

in case anyone is wondering, he did in fact ask me for permission to release the retextured versions and i told him it was alright. so he did not steal this or release without permission. they look nice with all those new nogova's out there im sure they will be put to good use. these dont overwrite the orginal USCG stuff do they? you can use both the orginal and nogova stuff together correct? as long as they dont overwrite then i have no complaints or problems

hmm download extractions HH60 addon. that should solve your helo script error. about the USCG herc.. im prettu sure i removed the flares so there shouldnt be anything to "fire"

what do you mean armed USCG units? HH68 has a door gun Block Island has a 40mm deck gun along with small arms "stored" in it USCG Runners in speedboats, have armed assailents and some armed boats. as for an drug island.. sorry but i dont have anything like that in the works. however there is an island for USCG rescue operations. the New Ocean Island has a sister island that is flooded during hightide. to reinact hurrican rescue efforts.

actualy i believe klink solved that, and the updated version was fixed. so the version you download should have that solved... i think. i dont remember because it was so long ago -
actualy. the unathorized release of hawks C130, the very very very first release. was a KC-130, and when the fuel hoses were extended you were able to refuel, assuming you were an able bodied pilot that could maintain the same speed as the tanker and stay steady while u try to choose "refuel at C130" from your lil corner menu. if you can handel all that.... then air-to-air refueling IS able to be executed in OFP. the downside is: the only KC plane was hawks orginal C130, in later versions he disabled it for no reason at all

Dude you´re hurting my eyes even more than the pink pony does "Was zur Hölle?" is what we say, but since you obviously sympathize with the dutch just say "wat de neuk?" actualy i was just being a generic smartass and joking that the only way to describe the pony was with the words 'wtf' and in pretending to translate myself i just used the most common sounds from the german language, the en sound, and mispelled the words "what" and "Fuck" with wooten and fooken and thru in the only german word i know how to spell, zie, which sounds like a german tourist trying to say what the fuck in english. so basicly i was mocking the whole thing and i had a feeling someone would correct me, but it was funny while it lasted

nope no patch. i dunno why it does that, and im too lazy to find out if extraction wants to do more stuff im up to it. we had hopes and dreams! but then a group of CIA black ops came in and stole them all! translation: we had some other stuff on a list but then extraction went off to play with CIA models so for now it just stays as is until i get a new modler that wants to come play coast guard with us. i can do half decent textures and download what i cant do but i cant model. i can apply scripts but im not that good at writing them from scratch. and lastly if ur a modler interested in doing a couple uscg models you should know: im laid back, unprofessional, and dont follow deadlines unless im ready to release something. so if u want to make some stuff for us dont come with a portfolio wearing a suit n tie, cuz we just aint that serious

well that makes perfect sense to me and therefore i retract any previous statments that seemed rather 'mean' to you about the model being insanly high poly for OFP. thank you for clearing that up.

i dont crank my settings. i have all my settings low. i use exactly what the benchmark configurs my OFP to be at. edit: i checked my benchmark "autodetect" settings and what i have them at and i applogise. autodetect tells me to set my texture settings at 4096x4096 and i prefer them at 512x512 for better performance. so i have my settings LOWER then what the autodetect tells me i can handle and i havnt thouroly tested this, but everyone ive talked to has and its unplayable with less then 2 gigs of ram according to the majority. and this is a majority rules game. i am merely submiting a complaint on behalf of total conversion mods and thier users that can no longer play with the new version of the tank, that will soon be needed for every mission from here to kalamazoo. i dont blame king homer for a high detail model, he did a great job yes, but the model is mostly fischkopps if i read right... and with all due respect he doesnt make addons for the "Common man" he makes addons for the super computers of the gaming world (IE his h53 pack). he has no concept of "people have computers with 512 ram and 1 to 2 ghz processors. and your right i can slide the LOD counter over. but then the models that look GREAT right now. like HYK infantry for instance. suddenly look like block figures with blurs for cloths. i dont want to screw up ALL my addons because of 1 tank that had to push the envolope. thats like saying "well if you dont like the addon then shut off your game. i think the tank looks nice, however i think that they went overboard with 900 faces per nut and 200 more for each bolt. the problem i face isnt with ME its with MY USERS. see thats the problem with being a modder. see your not making something for yourself, your making something for them. now granted half the time i do what i want rather then whats requested. but only on unit selection.. but when it comes down to using the latest version of this tank, that at this point everyone has, and have about 2000 people send me PMs spam my topic and fill up my inbox going "i cant play any tank battles! im only getting 3fps when i use the abrams" its not a happy time. on the other hand if i suggest that they keep the old one now ill get 800 emails pm's ect ect saying "i need the new version! i cant use the new version because it doesnt work with your mod! at this point im waiting to find out what thunderbird does because he's more able to find solutions to issues like this then i am. he has the time to do this i dont. so hopefuly he will be able to find a solution for both of us. but until then i applied the voice for my users begging me on thier hands and knees not to use this in my final patch. now we've disagreed before on what to use where but ive never had them this serious about something which tells me this must be one majorly serious problem that requires some changes somewhere. cameron: no offense to you ol buddy but according to your signature you have 2 gigs of ram. thats like trying to sympathize with someone who has a mazda when you drive a lambergini.

WHOA WHOA WHOA! dont you friggin DARE include me with "those people" personaly i HATE high res models because they are unplayable. i HATE them. sef's H53's ORCS friggin tanks. they send me to a dimension of pissed off i reserve for rare occasions. the last version was GREAT (model wise) it was pretty it was playable it was great. this version is GREAT... for screenshots and nothing else. to me the maximum texture size that should be used is 512x512 and nothing higher. as far as models i cant tell you about faces and shit like that because i dont know the lingo. but i think they should be middle ground between pretty and playable. so dont you dare group me with those high-res-whores that demand that crap. second off: i know the reason its locked, some dingbat from orcs or something like that released thier own version of his tank with modified config values, i really wasnt complaining about it being locked i was merely pointing out until i find a fix for that im unable to stick to a "this lags" or a "this is playable" opinion. althou goin from what others have said im inclined to beleive this tank is unplayable in your average battlefeild tank simulation (IE bis missions)
