the RPG error is the IMUC problem. they screwed something up in thier config the other errors are simple. you need the BAS delta and rangers.. ok wait a minute, what version of Y2K3 did you download? looking at your second error i realized that you have the bas desert rangers and deltas but you dont have the bas weap. and i dont use the bas derad anymore cuz lasers was 50x better. and on top of that 7.0 includes the bas_weap.pbo in the installation

hey locke since your doing csla and fdf configs, would it be too much trouble if you tacked on a Y2K3 config too (the default exploding bodies one) into your rar files until this thing goes "Final" ? if it is then dont worry about it -
addons. this error is caused by an addon that you downloaded, it has a problem finding something and it blames the default config, which in this case is mine. col klinks updated (unreleased) fishing boats gives me a simaler error about the lifejackets i did answer you. this is a problem with an addon you downloaded. som rouge addon with a bad config is causing this. the only reason it says "Y2K3" is because your default config is the Y2K3 one. if you didnt use a mod it would just say Config.bin\someshithere\eventhandler .scope i got the same problem with other badly configed addons. theres nothing you can do about this except check your Addons and Res\Addons folders for addons and delete some crap

you are very welcome grab that 7.1 beta patch i posted a page or two back and keep watchin this topic as i will continue updating it with locke's animation modhack until he is finished. typicly i would just wait until he was done, but theres absolutly no reason that you wonderful folks should have to wait a moment longer to enjoy them so i just update it when he does. once he is finished i will make the 7.1 patch final and after that it will be awhile unless the used addons suddnely are updated again and i need to fix stuff. so you can either wait for that or keep up to date with whats happening.

mine is shift and the arrow keys, works beautifuly with that. use my pinky to press shift and my pointer finger for right, middle finger for foreward/back and my ring finger for left, middle finger also reachs the Delete End Page-Down keys too fo kneeling, laying down, returning to standing postions. -
the config that i posted for download is the exact same config im using, i test it, it works, i rar the config and say "here you go" which is why ive only been handing out the exploding bodies config cuz thats the one i use. i give you what i have ill repack it with the latest version of your animation pbo file to make sure people are using the right one. my guess is they arent using the updated version, or they installed the pbo into the wrong folder http://tootallinc.atwar.net/files/Config.rar there download that again, and install the Config.bin into your Y2K3\Bin folder and the locke_anims.pbo into your Y2K3\Addons folder, for good measure i included an editable config this time so you can double check it yourself this error is caused by an addon that you downloaded, it has a problem finding something and it blames the default config, which in this case is mine. col klinks updated (unreleased) fishing boats gives me a simaler error about the lifejackets

actualy afaik your visablity isnt based on how you stand but realisticly by how much of you is seen (unless otherwise defined by config factors) so if your standing behind a rock and your ass is sticking out then the AI see's your ass and will shoot at it. if you are standing by a truck and the AI see your feet they will shoot at your feet so in this case when the AI see's your head and gun sticking out they will shoot at you none the less. its a matter of survivle for them. it doesnt matter if they see a bootlace or if they see a head all they know is that thing isnt suppose to be there and will most likly try to kill them thus they shoot at it. edit: make one final udpate.. you're killin us Total Conversion Modders -

changing the vehicles and units is what makes it non-mp compatable. if it was just effects (like GMR, ECP, and DR) then it would work flawlessly in MP but when you change the models then everything goes to hell in non-mod MP servers. all you gotta do is grab FFUR or Y2K3 and hope someday someone will make a dedicated (windows based) server that utilizes it -

Y2K3 & FFUR all of them are not MP compatable. its impossible to make them mp compatable cuz your using special effects and differnt models and you will enouncter hundreds of bugs, including the ever so popular "bouncing tank bug" i mean yes i have played on non Y2K3 servers in MP with Y2K3 but it was at a price with bouncing tanks, and p3vs trucks that drive with 3 feet of the wheels underground, and its nice to a point but there is a price to pay, and ive never played more then an hour without it crashing the server. and thunderbird's users and most of mine will tell you the same thing. total conversion mods only work when the server runs them too -

there is no way to work thru this. this is, in essance a game "hack" you just told the game to do something it orginaly didnt do. and your game raeds thru it and says "oh hey alright i can do that" and the server is like "ok people are doing this it must be ok" and people that havnt downloaded this their game is going "wtf?!  you cant do that! ahh shit what do i do now.. ugh *dead*" you either have to accept the fact that some people eitehr have their head burried up thier.. err in the ground and dont realize that stuff like this is released, or that some people are so paranoid about installing addons and mods that the shear though of a "hack" like this would make them wet their pants. and thus not everyone will have it installed. so servers have to post on their intro messages "hey look at us we are 00ber l337 c00l and use this animation modhack and u better too" or just deal with the fact that only some of us can be cool enough to use it and before anyone takes my comments out of context, this doesnt apply to every addon or mod released, its just this one has officaly revolutionized the way OFP is played. how you can boot up your game and not have these installed is just beyond my realm of comprehension of the gamers mind. not using these when you play is like saying "i dont want to use the 1.96 patch". this isnt just some uber leet helicopter or super sweet tank. this is a mod that tkes the OFP combat imersion and playablity to a whole new level. a level once uncomprehended by any of us. and to choose not to take your game to that level is just sad on so many levels i couldnt begin to express my disgust.  in the words of General Patton: alright now you sons a bitchs, you know how i feel and i too use the arrow keys for movement and shift for sprint and this works great for me. i never ever could possibly fathom the use of ASDW keys for movement, in my opinion thats just wrong, like seriously fucked up wrong, but thats just the way i play, the arrow keys are my freinds  oh yea almost forgot, Y2K3 is updated with the crouched leaning animation as well, requires the 7.1 patch and then download the config itself in my last post -

no its not possible to edit the veiw and i made the same test, with that and a custom test on desert island, and for me it seemed like the AI saw me less, at first i thought it was a bug the AI doesnt see you at all, but i peek out just long enough for them to pull out thier gun and look at me so i concluded they seem me just fine oh and by the way for those of you missing your old "sprint strafe left and right" moves use the foreward and left strafeing move, it does the same thing and its been my experiance u run faster that way too. -

you know i had this same problem with Y2K3 hell i had this problem with just transfering my data and data3d pbo files from my desktop to my laptop and vice versa. for some reason the data and data3d files are somehow... made uniqe to each install and wont work with anyone elses OFP unless they run thier own custom sky installer. apperntly these files are either encoded per installation code or serial, or perhaps customized to system performance, i dont know how or why it does this but sending someone else your data and data3d.pbo files just doesnt seem to work 80% of the time -

ive said this 98473 times so ill say it again NEVER UNPACK A BIN FILE EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER the only thing you will get by unpacking a .bin file is errors, lost data, and one huge hemmroatic pain in the ass. if you are using a total conversion mod, which is either EECP, Y2K3, or FFUR and afaik every one of us has released an editable config of our mod, unless thunderbird hasnt been doing that? but i know i always included an editable config file if not ask the creator of the mod u use to send u an editable config -

copy and paste the cfg moves from the text file in the rar replace the cfgmoves section of the config put the pbo file in your addons folder bin the config using cpp2bin go play -
