If by any chance you are running with my animation packs , there was a very light problem with it i identified after my versions 1.6 that would lead into such behaviour. It is fixed for the upcoming 1.7 If it is related to Locke@Germany mod, no idea sorry. i assure you, its your fault i can tel by the way you have the animations and how they are configured its not really that big of a deal for me. matter of fact it interpolates with the "running-to-crouch" perfectly. -
this island achived that goal. if it gets any bigger it will be laggy. sure your framerates are pretty high now, but keep inmind when you make a mission on here, units take up FPS too. i may get 70fps on desert island but you put in enough units and ill be down to 20 or 30. same for this island. its set up for a big city feel and allows for a decent sized mission to be made for it

the COC divers takes a prone animation like an unarmed unit would take. but its a stationary animation so he doesnt move. and about the speed, your right its really slow but that is EASILY fixable with a config tweak. -

with a little bit of work and lots of time on your hands the static (standing still) animation can be changed to something else, and due to interpolation the gun doesnt "warp" it it pulled from whatever postion its in so it doesnt look as bad as one might think http://ofp.gamezone.cz/_hosted/animcenter/en/index.php from that site i downloaded flashpointgamers animation pack Standing with "gun on back" Walking with "gun on back" it interpolates quite nicely. another small personal change i made was change the salute animation to the one from dreamy knight. now that change (when using the patrol animation pack) does entail the famous "gun warping" but in my personal opinion it is a small price to pay for the a perfect salute animation. and changing the crawling animation back to the way it was was incredibly easy. you just change one animation oh yea and i changed the AI ready stance too, back to the way it was in 1.5. and the rest of the animations in the pic (with the HTTV) have absolutly nothign to do with anything, it just looked cool with them all there like that. i took the pic while testing the "gun on back" animation as it would most likly be used, and thats in a gaurding postion. in this case gaurding a roadblock one small bug, and i know ur not doing anymore version so this is kinda pointless to point out but eh what the hell im here now. the AT weapon stance is beautiful but when you walk the hands "snap" back to the default postion (of holding it like a giant submarine sandwich). to me it doesnt matter, this is a game and in games wheres bound to be minor sometimes even subtle problems like this and i am not complaining. -

hey locke, look into sancuarys 1.6 animation pack for the single greatest universal AT weapon holding animation. i would deffenitly reccomend the hand postions the way they are in his 1.6 pack for your AT stand crouch and.. i guess lying would probly be differnt -

with the release of of sanctuarys animation pack 1.6 i have looked into it and honestly i wasnt as happy as i was with his 1.5 pack. but there were some minor improvments that i did like. then i went animation searching to compile the most realistic and decent looking animations i could find. based on sancuarys 1.6 Patrol Animation pack i made the following changes: -reverted the prone crawling animation back to the one with the rifle resting on the arms -changed the static "Safe" aka "rifle on back" animation to a more casual one, one that isnt confirmed to a rifle, so that if you have a pistol the animation blends nicely. there is a lil minor warping with the rifle but its really not as bad as you might think. -changed the salute animation to the one from dreamy knight all in all i think this is a very nice animation pack. but this will ONLY be released in the Y2K3 Version 7.1 Final Patch. right now 7.1 was a "beta" patch. Final will include the abrams fix, and the final version of locke's animation mod. the updated abrams and AH64 files and naturaly this animation pack made exclusivly and solely for Y2K3ers. and if you dont wish to use this animation pack then please back up your current one or use which ever you please

i concur, i like the current roll animation too. althou if you do change it, change it so the barrel is pointing up (aiming over your head) so i can roll and fire in the direction im facing and lay down cover fire while rolling to safty otherwise i like it locke about the pistol animations, would it be possible to configure a "safe" stance when armed with a pistol? rather then the "weapon on back" stance a more casual BIS unarmed one but only when armed wiht pistol only -

nevermind i found it. ill shut up and go away to my corner now oh and i found the crawling animations and ive customized my version to everything i wanted. thanks for the update sanct, mixed with your 1.5 patrol and some personal tweaks i now have a very beautiful animation pack that i think i will release with Y2K3 7.1 Final patch (the current is a beta patch) -

what are the "pistol" animation names? so that i may change extract them from the pistol one and add it to the patrol one. Â whoops you included a list. my bad -
you simply remove the "Data" and "Data3d" files from the Y2K3\DTA directory along with the subfolder hwtl and that will resolve that

ok folks there was a minor bug with the 7.1 patch with the M1A2 where the commander hovered above the tank. i belive i fixed it now but the fixed config wont be released until locke's next animation update, and please watch his thread cuz the new Y2K3 config with that fix and the animation updates wil be released by locke with his animation modhack. thank you if you cannot wait that long then open up the editable config and find commanderAction="ManActm1a1commanderout"; and change it to commanderAction="ManActm1a2commanderout";

you can install it, you have to run ofp with 2 differnt shortcuts thou. and the biggest differnce is Y2K3 is "modernizing" OFP as FFUR replaces the units with those from the same, 1985 era. thunderbird84 keeps the 1985 theme and i did a more modern theme. -

thats a good question, i think he should be forced to a kneeling animation. reloading an AT weapon (when possible) is a considerably long process, one that u might want to rest while you do and about the relearning how to aim when leaning. dont worry if we are leaning around a corner the target isnt that far away -

does anyone remember back when modding ment doing something to make your game better and after fooling around with it for awhile you go "hey fellow flashpoint players i made this to play with but since im a nice person ill share it with you to play with too " now it seems like most mods are nothing more then a group of people that share one additude: "0mG!!one111 we made this super uber l33t mod and you BETTER DOWNLOAD IT!!!!!!11!ONE ONE ONE or else your not cool and cool people use our shit hell yea!" and then after release throw on top of it "oh and if you look at our mod the wrong way we will sue you for harassment and assult with a deadly modding tool and then slader your good name thruout every forum we can join up with and then sit back and laugh at you becuz our uber l33t users will then hate you and continue to love their gods, us." and ill be 100% honest i am sick and fucking tired of this additude, now to avoid a fight i wont name the several mods who adapt this additude but you know who you are to my knowlege theres currently 4 differnt mods that adapt this additude and its sickening. god damn people locke just spent the past several (months? weeks?) working on this, he didnt make a cool addon, he didnt make a super sweet animation, the man (i assume your male?) took time out of his life and did something for OFP that has NEVER been done before, something that was so despretly needed its not even funny. and look at you, tell me honestly that you can boot up and effecticly play a game of OFP without these now. now that you have them tell me that you could delete them and be "Fine" with ofp "the way it is". you cant. not with an innovation like this. and Y2K3, FFUR, and CSLA now use these animations to make our mods better and our users are greatful that we take up the "hey we made this and what the hell u can have it too" additude and help not only make our gaming better but gaming better for people that enjoy our stuff. and now what? a 3 page battle of "fuck fdf you pricks" and "omg fdf rulez! and they are so right!" what the hell is wrong with you people?! this isnt about who will and wont use these animations, its about locke and the people that enjoy his modhack. if you dont want to use these, well then you have my pity. but for those of us that do enjoy it lets contructivly critque his modhack, lets make suggestions, lets praise his efforts. lets NOT sit here and argue over who is right and who is wrong. how about who gives a shit? cuz i certanly dont. FDF doesnt want to use it. thats fine. FDF users im sorry that you cant enjoy these animations and good luck with all your multiplayer fun. for everyone else just sit tight, this is the biggest innovation for OFP and soon every (non FDF, as not to offend) server will be running this by default. and you are gonna go on there and you are gonna play missions with these animations and your gonna have fun. so lets drop this whole thing and go back to enjoying the animations, those of us that can. cuz the next time i click on this thread i want to see comments related to locke and his animation mod only. cuz some of us do not feel like watching people fight over this pety battle of the egos. this isnt locke's fault he is an equal oppertunity modder and trying to give every OFPer the ability to play with these animations but FDF said "no you will not touch our mod or feel the consiquences of our lawyers" and so thats that. locke removed the config, fdf'ers arent permited to enjoy these animations, fight over. locke cant help fdf and fdf cant help themselves so just drop it. its over. theres nothing more to be done here. agreeing or disagreeing will not make FDF jump up and say "you are right! we will use these!" its just not gonna happen. so let it go. and yes i am a hipocrit cuz i was the first to reply, but, and this happens alot, i sometimes like to make futile efforts to help people use a little common sense and have a little bit more considerate additude toward people, especialy the people that took time and bandwith to download thier addon or mod and say "hey look they have a right to be happy". and i think that i might actualy reach out and touch someone with this freindly advice but it always ends in tragedy with something like this. a multipage battle of "dont you tell us what to do we are gawd and we will destroy you" Alright, Now You Sons a Bitchs You Know How I Feel Too-Tall PS: note the closing statment, a quote from patton, is not directed toward any one person, its just the "closing" ive decided to to adopt as my closing statment for things like this where i feel my opinions and veiws needed voiced -

this is impossible. gameplay limitations restrict the veiw to be level at all times. before this mod have you EVER seen the veiw change? a tank shoots you and you ride your body for 1 or 2 seconds before death cam starts, does the veiw change? you wall off a clif and tuble and roll the way down, does the veiw change? game engine limitation rescrits the veiw to level only at all times. and please dont miscontrude that reply, im not trying to be rude even thou it does kinda sound like it, its just your the second person to ask this, so in a futile effort to prevent more questions like this im explaing OFP does not let u look upside down. well first you start off by loosing the additude. then you configure your servers to use this animation too since it wont belong before every OFP player with internet connection and an "Addons" folder will have this animation installed. and i said it before, if they dont then they are truely disturbed. there are addons, and then there are mods that you just cant live without. and if you play OFP without these animations then you really shouldnt be playing video games. so dont you fret none, soon every ofper will be using these animations, and your precious servers will be running them and then everyone will be happy -
you know, i bet that same question has arised from every anti aircraft soldier luging one of those large launchers around you do it like they do in real life. for planes you need to hit them from the front. for choppers, the same but usualy the flares catch the missle so dont lock on to your target. the helo is attacking you, its gonna make passes at you. eitehr straight on or slow moving. you need to practice with this and learn where to aim. i played defender in red hammer campaign where u shoot down the CH47s. got the one as he was coming in and the other as he hovered. both times unguided. the flares only work when u lock on to the target. now vehicle mounted AA missles like the mcar and the SA11 gadfly vehicles are more effective then shoulder launched weapons. as they are in real life too. about the missing scripts, that means you didnt use the extra file installer that installs that @ECP mod folder, you get those erros cuz even thou i went out of my way to delete ALL ECP shit somehow it searchs for those scripts. i dont know why. it just does. so go back to my site and download the extra file installer that m16mag error is from another addon. when Y2K3 7.0 went out it was error free. from start up to mission play there wasnt a single error. now if you get an error like what you speak of there, it is related to a poorly configured addon that is NOT Y2K3 related

omg i was just playing "interdiction" again from the 1985 campaign and after i killed those 4 soldiers on the moutian.. instead of running down the hill i found a quicker way to get down! lay down longways so that your facing the base and roll down the hill.. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee -
how big is the bas_weap.pbo? i vaugly recall there being a compression error that deleted alot of it, if its not somethin like 32 megs then redownload the bas delta rangers and reinstall the BAS_Weap.pbo the delta and rangers are not needed for Y2K3 so if they are in the Y2K3 addons folder then delete the derad and deraw files. and i do agree the hyk rangers were nice but i didint want to have the same unit for every last single slot. i liked lasers rangers better due to thier camo pattern, gear (on the body model). i cant remember why i liked his rangers better the nhis deltas but in any case i choose his rangers and when i doubt myself i play "interdictoin" and see both the west officer and the rangers side by side and im reminded just how damn good they fit the postion
