Sorry for the delay getting back guys and thanks for the replies. Looking at some of the answers it might well be one of those. I'll e-mail him this topic address so he can look and try your suggestions. At least now we know that OFP runs ok with the Kyro2 which is a good start at least. Oddjob

Hi guys, I got a mate who's GF1 just blew up recently. It had no problems running OFP. He went out and in my opinion foolishly bought a Kyro2 card. Since then OFP has refused to run. He gets to the Codemaster log sometime before it crashes to desktop, sometimes even to the startup screen where the vehicles are rendered fine. Pressing any choice results in a desktop crash. Hes downloaded the latest drivers for the card with no results. So is OFP compatable with the Kyro2, the readme file says Kyro is supported but no mention of Kyro2. Has anyone got a Kyro2 which will run OFP, if so did it run without tweaking or did you have to do anything to get it to work. I need your help here lads, I'm missing killing him. Oddjob

Finally managed to install 1.55. Had to un-install from E: drive and re-install on C: drive in order to do this though. Anyway I finally managed to run 1.55. Trouble now is that writing is very blurred, virtually unreadable in places. Graphics seem fine. Seems like only 2D is affected. Had a couple of friends test their systems and they say that theirs looks ok. I'm running Det 28.32 on an Asus V8460. It feels like a driver problem but can't say for sure just yet what the solution is. Anyone get this glitch and if so what was the cure?. I my try installing an earlier version of the Det drivers like 23.11 and see if that helps. Don't want to yet though as it's a pain to change em backwards. I've never had a problem installing any of the OFP patches in the past. I'm currently at 1.46 as are most people. I downloaded 1.55 and attempted to upgrade. It comes back with an error message saying that OFP isn't installed or that installation is corrupt. My OFP dir is on my E: drive and not C: as per usual for most people. I was wondering if the patch is only looking for an installation on the default drive and nowhere else. My OFP runs pretty good, the usual hangs etc nothing unusual for OFP so I don't think it's corrupted. I've tried numerous times now to install but without any luck. I'll detail my system just in case its relevant: Iwill KK266r mobo 1.6g AMD Thunderbird Asus GF4 Ti8460 Det 28.32 384mb of SDRAM 60g Raid array Audigy Platinum Soundcard Win 98se Any help would be appreciated OddjobBiB
