Hi Folk, A new modification for the game Armed Assault is born. It's the Somalian Crisis Mod. Since the IMWM Modification does not exist's anymore; many ex IMW Mod members like RGG Stone or David moved to this mod because they wanted to offer a similar mod; with a much better team/mod atmosphere than IMWM Mod had (Since ACE merge). Story: We’re writing the year 1992. Operation “Restore Hope†failed and UN convoys are leaving the country. Mohammed Farah Aidid and his rebellion force grew up to an incredible level and since no US or UN forces are in the country anymore, they managed it to bring the government under their control. As a Pakistani UN convoy was on its way to the border, opposition forces ambushed it. 4 UN soldiers left there lives the rest managed it to escape. As the Somali searched the wreck of an damaged UN truck they found parts of an nuclear device. The device was immediately loaded to the new government with Mohammed Farah Aidid as leader with its place in Mogadishu, Central Somalia. 10 years they managed it to hide it. Year 2006: Iran wants to build an atomic device to force Israel to leave the pakistani area under the cover of an “Nuclear Power Plants System†but due the international pressure they cannot continue their program. After Mohammed Farah Aidid died the new leader; Akashi Nubuto took place as president and offered the device Iran. It took 6 months to load the device and bring it via ship/truck to the Iran border. January 2008: The Nato was calmed since Iran did not continue its program. Summer 2008: The Iran government dares to uncover its program and was confronted Israeli Air attacks immediately. Hi BIS; I absolutely admire your work. I already like ArmA in the state of 1.14 but the pictures you guys shown about ArmA2 are bomb. I like every little think. Of course it will has bugs but everygame has bugs. I see that are you really trying to set up a nice game and thats 50% what counts in my opinion. I'am tired of the constant whining threads as "Community already done this and that in a worse quality etc". since BIS's people are capable to do it in an excellent quality with an excellent detailness. That are my reasons why I'am going to buy ArmA2 soon as it is out.

No mod is good as the things BIS is making No Community Addon is good as BIS' ones and no dragging animation/sound is that good as the developers made. I'am tiered of the "Community made this and that"; 100% of the soldier models are based on the BIS Standart ones; 70% of the soundmods took sounds from youtube or other games; BIS is making them from scratch and they sound bomb in ArmA2. 70% of the Weapons packs for ArmA are imported from games like CS or CoD4. Guys like Vilas who is making his good models from scratch are not that good as the BIS Models. Community is nothing without BIS.

Oh yeah, I played with friends inside the houses too. I like all of your points because house fights in ArmA are really bad (But way better than in OFP)

Hi, My suggest for ArmA II is that you bring back the interior sounds to the old level. In ArmA I can't since patch 1.14 a car driving when I'am on 1st View because it was regulated that much. I know, its for MP so players with headset are able to talk inside vehicles but I have to admit that I heard my teammates also on Patch 1.08 well, and it was a great immersion bonus that the interior sounds where that (realistic) loud Greetings,

Many things you claim are not true. You want to be in a mod team and call the developers lazy for providing us things in THAT great quality? You can't expect to have the same features in a Skoda as in a Ferrari. You would screw the people with that and do you know why VBS2 is that expensive? Of course you do, all the modeles, fast roping, everything is tested, bugfree (SP and MP) and made ALOT work. Thats the price and I'am happy that they sell it for whats worth. To call developers lazy, tz, even many addons of your mod are basing on the sample models and the rest does not reach BIS Standart Quality.

I still say that ArmA2 beats ArmA in many aspects. Just the inclusion of a real view mirror is just..outstanding!
