Realtime immersive - Militar simulator cryengine

Damn just thought DSTS could run with any compatible software/sim? Guess the immersion/feeling for soldiers in CQB taining scenarious would be better with Cryengine than with VBS2. On the other hand its about time someone makes a holodeck so people can move + act with less restrictions/limitations. Lets see what we need and what we can use to make it happen! :)

Current training with DSTS in Grafenwoehr, Germany: http://i602.photobucket.com/albums/tt104/vor033/Netherlands%20-%202/947141_zps841e1138.jpg, http://i602.photobucket.com/albums/tt104/vor033/Netherlands%20-%202/947123_zps14fd1d9d.jpg, http://i602.photobucket.com/albums/tt104/vor033/Netherlands%20-%202/947118_zps067c16d4.jpg Apparently in use. Kind regards :)

Can't wait to see the nextsupergen games with build-in "auto-buy" Steam features incl. some seasonal/special subscriptions (based on collected data about your likes + stats).... Don't think - just play! :D

Turkey gets it "Arab Spring" ?

Well didnt it start as the Turkish police used tear gas and water cannons = use of excessive force to evict protesters? Mr Erdogan later said that a mosque, not a shopping center, will be build on Gezi park. The Turkish government is getting more and more authoritarian. Last week, the government passed legislation curbing the sale and advertising of alcoholic drinks. Maybe Mr Erdogan is just trying to calm down any protest against his ideas and plans as quick as possible?

What about the analogy with drug addicted - dealer - drug producer? ;) Fact is that production cost of pressing CD/DVD's is pretty low a few cent's for x amount of CD/DVD and the boxart cost's as much as any other boxart of another game retail box. So please don't continue with such silly "NOT cheap" claims! The bigger issue is to get the poduct out and sold worldwide within a certain timeframe and ideally with just one big publisher/distribution system only. Guess most if not all people would be happy if BIS would have the infrastructure + staff to run their own independent online/offline gameshop. Sadly that's not the case and Steam had more things on the table than other distributors. How can you blame the bigger audience for insta- or auto-buying cheaper games or ALPHA's/WIP's?? C'mon selling more products for low price/special sales is more profitable than just a few for lets say 50-60 bucks. Don't let people think too much time about where their money goes and what they gain! Btw who cares about proper internal QA of game development if it can be outsourced and/or said that cheaper pre-releases are hip?? Quality doesn't matter if quantity makes profit.

DM you obviously know how QA tools and procedures work! As for "casualizing" A3 - DayZ (later Wasteland spin-off) brought a big chunk of casual gamers into Armaverse and most likely BIS are clever enough to try to hold + milk them not only via DayZ SA. Just look at the numbers of milsim gamers vs numbers casual gamers and what is less pain to make/develop and also where the gain of pain is much more profitable.... guess why there is no competition in this area at all? :)

Syria - What should we do if anything?

scrim your view is somewhat strange, bigot and not very well educated nor informed. Guess you one of those internet warriors who can't respect or tolerate others just because they don't fit into your simple world. Maybe for a start go back to the first days of this civil war, find the reason for it and continue to search for changes and developments, aswell who is behind certain groups and funding them for what kind of reasons. Or you may just continue to believe the (yellow) media/propaganda stories and their experts....

BIS are just trying to increase their profits by selling their products to a bigger crowd. BI store is not so popular like Steam and casual gamers are somewhat lazy and usually can't be bothered to do much more than the simple click-to-play procedure or they simply expect somekind of instant/automatic features. It would be interesting to know why BI really would have an "absolute fucking nightmare" to keep track of their own projects. Seems more like saving cost/time not using tracking tools/software and even outsourcing QA (to fans/consumer).... One distribution platform to rule them all, one (or more) special sales offers to find them, one to bring them all in the darkness bind them. In the Land of Monopol where the Profit lies.

Lol no, I'm looking to pay for quality and consistence rather than for (hyped) spin-offs just to herpderp with fanboys about possible "potentials" and what kind of stuff one has to have to enjoy a game in the best way. BI have a history in chaos production, buggy releases and unfinished games. Business decisions can be profitable but is profitable always right? Should profitable be the only and major aim of creating content, making/developing games or series/franchise?? How passionate BI devs really are if the community requested and made stuff for example like disposable AT's launchers or trying to improve the health/armor system since a decade? Guess its more pc to keep calm and to "like" everything....

Just try to create a hype, do the PR work and hope that X amount of people will throw spent their money naively voluntarily on a game project that is ALPHA/WIP. Of course the price must be somewhat lower so its easier for people just to waste a few bucks here and there.... BI just gone deeper into mainstream to help themselves out of the chaos - created by BI.

So all is shiny + fluffy as long as you throw money at your favourite game project and don't care about profit deals and consumer rights.... Glad to see fanboys make or continue to make gamedevs and distributers/publishers millionaire! Just follow your addiction - its worth every cent! BI surely will keep their passion about releasing games that will grow finally through years into a final betabuild by work + support of its community!!! Meanwhile BI staff will enjoy life and profit at different places around the world.... YOLO & party hard! ;)

Bis Terms of service, and repressed remarks

BI just needed someone who got a global + working distribution network. Think more about sales + profit.... doubt the marketing/PR yaddablah.

    The boozer!

Hmm, those Scots do make some damn tasty whiskeys - next time we will test the older ones.... No hangover because of we got a nice meal before boozertime. :)
  14. Some progress on this or is it better to throw some cookies on BIS/Dwarden & Co for a new stable A2OA betabuild? :)

    Steam discussion

Simple - most companies do like to maximize their profits. DayZ showed BIS how "easy" one can make money with braindead creatures + pvp/DM gameplay. Blame the audience / casual crowd who don't demand anything but shooting and counting headshots. BIS just made a money/profit deal... Of course the marketing/PR guys will tell you something different! ;)
  16. Who is putting the pressure on you to release addons/mod "just in time" of A3 release? How do you know that BIS won't delay the A3 release into Q1 2014? What kind of "great shame" is it to release an new update/upgrade for an A2OA addon/mod?
  17. Thought that RHS team will make a farewell parade or some firework to say "Goodbye to A2OA/CO!" and don't abandon it like that.... Unfortunately hippster-hype A3 is still ALPHA (BETA/WIP/RC).

Terrorist attack in London - Soldier killed with machete

Think that those two attackers got mental and where keen on public/media coverage. People really need to find out why exactly these two attackers switched. Just handing out weapons and perhaps allowing militias to patrol wouldn't do anything good. Guess CCTV can't prevent anything like this and police officers are not waiting on every street + corner 24/7 to gun down anyone who looks suspicious to them. Imo the usage of "terror" and "terrorist" is somehow overused in media + politics....

What is with the first part of my question? Or is your boss/wifey watchin you??

    Is it worth buying?

Well it's said IF was or is not worth its full release price but for a few bucks its turn to be worth - really? If you want a great WW2 game don't throw money at those who missed their opportunity to do so. Please don't go with Buuu...butthurt because you like WW2 that much that you put a blind eye on flaws and issues or even downplaying them. What everyone wants to enjoy is a great game in the first place and not somekind of abandoned project that is only left to a bunch of fanboys hope + mercy. Who does benefit from those low price/sales offers - the devs - the publisher?? Who are you really supporting by your action/posting and cheering.... and on the other hand moaning, whining about the evil gamesbiz and industry. Double-standards pretty much. Imo waiting and/or searching for a better WW2 game is much better, consequent and worth it. But who am I to blind/deny others from their WW2 fix... ;)
  22. Lol the CWR2 Trabant lacks many things especially the sound if you try to push it up to 140km/h - downhill... If one has to wait XX years to buy his own car he has to love it somehow - thanks to politics and economy. "emotional system that simulates panic in your passengers" - pfff, sissy's don't take risks and have no fun! :D

F/A 18 Super Hornet for Arma 2 OA

If you can make your F/A-18 Super Hornet weapons (missiles/bombs) fly + look believable and without making them into somekind of "superweapons". Maybe make one how you like it and later one with GLT/FRL Missilebox (required)? As for GUI/loadout I like the setting that trucks are needed to resupply the plane, that it takes a certain time (no insta-resupply-everything) and perhaps as option add one or two AI's doing this work eg with repair animation.... :)
  24. According to the news the Foxhound looks a bit too sandy-yellowish it should be moar dirty-tan-brown.... http://www.armyrecognition.com/may_2013_news_defence_army_military_industry_uk/british_army_vehicles_will_be_painted_with_new_colour_camouflage_of_tan_brown_1505131.html I wouldn't mind to see a pimped cool'bro black one with "tuned by RKSL" j/k ;)

    BattlEye: Corrupted Data #3

Anyone who needs to play with CBA will have to rollback to working 103718 build.... its not BIS if its working smooth + without introduction of new/old issues and bugs awesome-splendid features. ;)
