    OCCUPATION co10

Beautiful. I'll try it tonight and let you know how well it works. Appreciate it.

    UH80 Ghosthawk ejecting issues

Fairly certain. It seemed to be around that speed while playing coop that killed other players.

I do believe realistically helicopters do need to be staying still for you to parachute out of safely. You run the risk of hitting the fuselage. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but almost every time I've seen videos of someone skydiving from a helicopter it has been very nearly still. Edit: At least in regard to helicopters where you need to skydive from the sides. Not from the back like something from an MI-8. Argh, rewatched your video. Just realized you were completely still. Regardless, the helicopters will kill you if you are traveling at about 150+ km/h for those interested.

Brilliant. I was waiting for something like this. Your work is appreciated.
  5. I'm not too savvy in the dedicated server department. I've successfully put up a server. However, whenever I try to run any server it typically crashes within a minute or so of the server running. I'm not sure if it's due to specs or if I should be looking elsewhere. It's a virtual dedicated I purchased a 'bit ago. Windows 2008 Web QEMU virtual CPU (cpu64) 3.5ghz 1026 mb Ram 50GB Hard-Drive 1000GB Bandwidth Edit: Meant to post in servers and administration. Sorry

    Admin on Dedicated Server

Make sure you follow the guide for the server config files http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?147537-Tutorial-How-to-run-ArmA3-server-on-a-dedicated-server Once you set an admin password make sure you type #login password with your ingame chat to login as admin.
  7. Specifically during the start of missions. Even missions where I have on unit on the map (just me). I'm not sure if it's due to the lack of dedicated server files. I do have windows 2008 r2 and downloaded directx for proper support. Worse comes to worse I'll upgrade the server. The problem with upgrading a VDS is that the price is increased by almost 1/3rd to upgrade an aspect of the CPU or RAM. It would be somewhat detrimental to upgrade the server and find that it actually wasn't needed. Until the point of crash the server is extremely responsive. Gear is equipped almost instantly, even with the script with all equipment. Where before I couldn't even equip uniforms when it was client-sided hosted by my friends with modern PC's. I'd really like to know the true cause before I fork out an additional 15-20 dollars extra a month into the server.
  8. I was wondering if it was possible to mod such a thing, where either a car radio, or object/loudspeaker could project an online radio stream that everyone could hear synchronized. (ie. BBC News, Digitally Imported, etc.) This is to help with longer missions/roadblock/slow patrol missions that everyone can enjoy in a synchronized, controllable manner. It's for an immersion experience, so don't come in here to say "just stream it in the background blah blah blah".
  9. Hey there, I was wondering, after fooling around in the editor a bit, if it was possible to edit the module settings a bit to make more civilians and have it so the civilian vehicle module has actual driving vehicles as well as parked ones. I did browse through these forums before posting this, but I had no luck finding anything. Help would be very appreciated!

There are such things as free DLC.

Civilians talk to eachother at random with the civilian life module active in a game.
  13. I won't spoil anything here other than say that the campaign is well worth the hype. I'm having so much fun with it right now, I never expected to like the campaign this much. The open-ended aspect of it is a dream come true for me, and I can't wait to play it cooperatively with my friends once they get the game. Never have I felt more immersed and involved in a war than in this game, the way your actions affect many things and outcomes and just the pure open-ended aspect of the campaign makes it almost infinitely replayable. The first few missions had left me believing that it was just another linear experience but, after completing them, I had realized that it was just a simple gateway/story starter for the free-roam parts of the game. If there is ever an expansion coming out for this game, and the campaign was similar to this, I would get it in a heartbeat no questions asked. Bravo BI, and thank you so much for the gaming experience I had always wanted and dreamed about. - Also, if people have questions about the campaign, I am sure I can answer them... but I won't give away spoilers!
  14. Easy - if you run out of ammo, your best bet to find more would to RTB and find an ammo cache somewhere, or you can just do what I do.. steal the weapons off your enemies :)

i can only hope americans buy this

American here - I have convinced 3 of my friends to get the game as well :) (Though they are waiting on the steam release, so I have to wait to play with them)
  16. In a german preview e3 video, they said tanks and aircraft appear to be ai-access only so far in the game.
  17. I have to agree it doesn't fit his character that well compared to the other soldiers.. but I've adjusted to it already. Not horrible, but not super awesome either. It's probably because I've heard the voice on other actors already in ArmA, I just can't get it out of my head I guess.
  18. A demo does take time to make, it would delay the release further. I am sure they will put it in a demo at a later date.
  19. Is it possible your english patch initialized FADE? If not.. I hope another patch comes soon to remedy your problem! And with Hi-Command, you don't control the other units like they are your own squad - you can still be commanding a squad, and still have Hi-Command available. It sends you into a map, and you can control large unit movements that way, or simple point and click - I haven't done this in campaign yet, but I have learned about it in the training for the game. Edit (adding more): It works very much like the map editor in a way. You can add waypoints, set their awareness level, movement speed, etc. It's pretty cool, and if it is implemented in the campaign as you say, I can't wait to get to that part! :D
  20. Haha beat both you and max to it, but we all had the same idea around the same time! Amazing! Great minds think alike, no? Either way, there has to be some way to let people know that there game is screwed up purposely, rather than them just playing a buggy game.
  21. Or perhaps a giant message as you are starting up the game.. 'your copy of ArmA 2 has initialized FADE, your game will be screwed up in many ways! Either fix your legit copy of ArmA 2, or actually buy a legitimate copy!' That way people would at least know that their game is suppose to be screwed up.
  22. Not once have I ran into this. Perhaps it is an earlier version bug? If not, I've just been lucky I suppose. No issues with animations thus far for me!
  23. I meant like story-driving missions ones that are separate from open-ended missions, an assault on a city that you partake in, stuff similar to that.
  24. I actually haven't blown up too many buildings to experiment with this, I will have to try it out and find out. - But important people who die will stay dead. I have not tried joining up with the rebels or anything along those lines, and I am not sure it is possible.. I doubt that it is. (they don't have much appreciation for americans!) That is something else I will have to experiment with though as far as going against the flow of things is.. but I have completed 'missions' and have not done all the tasks asked of me. You are also able to make decisions on some objectives that will disobey some orders.
