    Doesn't the mission maker determine how much ammo is in vehicles? The default loadouts might be low, but hopefully the mission makers will determine what's necessary

    I'm all for it. I'm sick of the same M4's, AK-47's and HMMWV variants that we've played in 100's of different games for many years.

    No, in real life soldiers don't run around with "akimbo" weapons.

    Does arma 3 use 4 cores?

    All 8 cores get used on my rig; but only core0 is ~50%; all the others are ~30-40%. I still get ~30FPS on most SP missions w/ average # AI
  6. Yes, it's true. I've never gotten "blurry" vision while running or fatigued.

    FPS problem.

    Unless you overclock or buy a cpu then you're pretty much SOL. That's why in an empty map in the editor you can still get 40+ because there's no CPU load. When you start adding AI then your CPU struggles
  9. so you want better detail/more improvements, and better performance? If it were only that easy... Chances are we will see some improvements over time; but most won't be major overhauls like Operation Arrowhead was. I'll just be happy if they can keep up with the dev tracker lol

    Arma 3 too heavy for your computer?

    Another big FPS hit for me is object distance, which has more of a hit than VD. Going past ~3km for objects (my VD is set to 5km) kills my fps drastically.

    I would rather have a clear list/links for mods in the server list, so you can easily ID what mods the servers are running and have the choice to DL them

    The more detailed terrain at distance seems the most plausible/easiest IMO, I hope we get this!

    Is the muzzle flash too visible?

    I did notice that now there's "micro-sparks" outside of the actual "flash" animation simulating individual grains of powder still burning. You barely even notice them at night unless you have NVG's; pretty cool (and realistic) effect IMO. I still think the edges of the actual flame need to be more transparent, especially during the day

    [CAMP] 100 Days

    Excellent campaign! I'm only on day 31 or something but so far it's one of the best I've played; excellent scripting, editing, and all around balance for missions (not too tough but still enough to make you break a sweat once in a while). The support menus are easy to use and add a whole new depth to the game 9/10 Looking forward to any future projects!

    I wish you could bind modifier keys to mouse buttons! I already have mouse buttons 4-9 as macros in the Logitech setpoint software, but I still can't use alt/ctrl/shift + mouse buttons 1,2,and 3

    Is the muzzle flash too visible?

    Muzzle flash seems way too bright during the day; I also think there's not enough particle effects (besides smoke) for muzzle-blasts like dust and other particles getting stirred up. I would also like to see more smoke and dust buildup after long bursts of firing; at least enough to obscure an MG's view for a few seconds so they can't just spray 200 rounds on target

    what do you think about the game so far?

    The new movement system is the main reason I think it's better (for me); it's so much more fluid and 'natural'. Also performance seems better than with Arma2. I can't wait for more content in the future!

    Wow, this pissing match again?? Just because a system meets/exceeds the requirements doesn't mean it will run with maxed out settings and get good fps!!

    Yawn....although I'd almost encourage melee weapons at this point, so when someone tries to sneak up and knife/bayonet/butt-stock/whatever; the "victim" just puts a three-round burst in their chest/head. Maybe after the 3rd or 4th time of getting shot when they try to melee someone they'll take a hint

    Just curious if anyone knows if Arma3 will continue to have beta patches available throughout it's cycle? Will they work the same as with Arma 2/Steam? Thanks for any info

    Why even make the series go beyond visual range? That's what flight simulators are for lol! Not much fun just sitting back firing missiles and not seeing things go booom; I want to be the guy calling in the arty, not the guy loading the cannon

    Why would he need to draw fire when they were already in cover against a big rock wall? Why was he silhouetting himself on the ridge instead of keeping low in the rocks to keep more concealed? Maybe it was a panicked reaction or something; but I really think this soldier needs to brush up on his Combat Tactics 101

    Video/Shadow Glitch?

    Chances are it's either a driver issue or hardware issue (i.e. overheating). Try updating drivers and monitoring your temps. What's the specific model of the laptop?
