Makin' a comeback tonight

Too difficult even on Easy Setting ?
Nilz replied to Captain Data's topic in ARMA - OFFICIAL MISSIONS
I have no complaints about the AI's shooting abilities, but I kinda agree with Captain Data about that grass part. It is stupid that you can't see thru the grass while in prone position but the AI can. -
Double check if ur still playing as the same player as with who you started the campaign. Left side up at the start of the game you can click your player name and see if you have more characters by accident. Please check the Campaigns folder in your ArmA folder, and make sure there is only 1 file in, named ca.pbo and no other files. Goodluck! Oh yeah right.. I just changed my ingame name. I'll change it back, one sec... EDIT: Worked, thanks

Hmm.. with all this patching my campaign progress was lost. Any chance to get it back?
-
Nice pics bör Hi-Res Hi-Res IMHO, the game still looks great even on low settings
-
I agree with RedStorm in every aspect. The bugs that are currently present are minor and don't really affect (at least my) gaming experience.
-
Awesome work Sickboy and the translation team! The campaign is great.
-
Yes. Antialiasing with shadows. That's a shader model 2 issue isn't it ?
-
Hi-Res Hi-Res Sorry about that "6: Waiting" in that Littlebird picture Oh yea, does anyone know what is causing those white stripes on the edges of the models as you can see in those 2 pictures?

Hi-Res Hi-Res Hi-Res More later

Some random ish. Hi-Res Hi-Res Hi-Res Hi-Res

How do you remove the black borders? showcinemaborder=false doesn't work for me :/ EDIT: nevermind, Google helped me
-
Thanks for pointing that out. -nomap didn't really help to be honest. -nosplash works though I can use the editor well, no lag there. I could even play one of the single missions (where you clear a small town with an SF squad) with pretty high settings and FPS was around 20. The first campaign mission is a real pain in the arse though So i'm not quite sure what exactly is causing these graphical bugs and performance drops. Took another screenshot, everything as high as possible with my CPU.

Yeah, thought the same. Although Radeon 9800 Pro is in the same class with GeForce 6600GT... Buying a whole new system is probably smarter, cuz my mobo only supports up to 4xAGP (my Radeon can't use its full potential)
-
My specs: Pentium 4 2 GHz, 512 MB RAM, Radeon 9800 Pro 128 MB Hella LOD/texture bugs, average FPS 10-15 even on low settings. I have the newest drivers. It takes a while to load all the textures. Screenshot EDIT: I'm gonna try -nomap ...

In russian? Last time I checked not too many young wealthy enough estonians spoke it.. Should be possible to change it into english. I will check it out. The voices are most probably in english. EDIT: Does the polish version also have Starforce?
-
To all the Estonian fans: the Russian (Akella) version will probably be imported by Andrico I wonder what kind of protection it will have though...

Another one showing an Abrams tank blowing up some NS tanks. BTW, this one and all the previous vids I posted were made by a guy named shadak. So no need to credit me when postin' em up somewhere, I'm just hosting them Here PS shadak's specs: X2 4600+ (slightly OC'd) , 2GB RAM , Gf7950GX2 1GB VRAM It runs pretty well 1280x1024 with 2xFSAA on highest details except shadows which he left on medium.

Yeah I thought about it too, but he wasn't against the wall so I guess some kind of fragments still hit him
-
Some gameplay vids I got off a forum Walkaround Headshot (yes, you can actually hit someone in the eye) Sahrani Royal Commando soldier and building destruction Blowin' up tractors Someone please mirror them because my host (MSN.ee) doesn't allow a lot of traffic. Thanks

I know what you mean. It's just that I can't be bothered to update my comp anymore. In terms of games, I just want a plug'n'play option now
-
What are your CPU specs adamicz ? OT: I hope that ArmA will be released on X360 as well

We can finally see a pilot model ! Nice job BIS The water is just amazing...
